Hi Boys,
I own an Apple Watch 7 and this is the display I always use. I only wear mechanical watches in the city and normal places but for my work as an Engineer in Australia I go to work sites that has a very harsh environment.
For my work I do the followings.
Also, I'm a student Pilate as well. My requirement is I should be able to see the followings without using heaps of other devises so I can plan my day.
Don't care about fitness tracking because I'm exceeding those limits anyway. My only problem with the Apple watch 7 is I cannot survive my entire day without juicing it up. Because of the noise monitoring, it drains the battery very quickly.
Looked up some smart watches but nothing can provide these features that Apple watch provides. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I've been using a few smart watches, Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 1/2, and Pixel Watch 2. Love them but hate the battery life.
On and off with Mi Band 5/6/7/8/9, they're super cheap, so I bought every iteration.
But now, I'm looking for something fuller in size.
I'm not a very active person, but I need something that has good battery life, not something that I need to charge every 1-3 days. Charging becomes very annoying, especially when I'm traveling.
Water proof is a must. I don't do diving, but I occasionally swim and snorkel when I travel. Heart beat and sleep tracking is a must too.
I need it to at least vibrate for alarm and also phone notifications, coz my phone is mostly on silent.
Must be easily legible under bright daylight.
Everything else is considered a bonus.
I can get the T-Rex 3 for $195, and the Instinct 2 for $216.
I have a budget of up to $250, and I could possibly push it up to $300.
Love the Fenix 8, but that thing is like $1300, out of my budget.
Was considering the Instinct E, but read everywhere that it's a downgrade from Instinct 2.
Whole family is on Android, no iPhones, so Apple Watch isn't exactly on our list.
I've seen some videos, but none have helped me yet, how do I make my I8 PRO MAX smartwatch and HRYFINE app vibrate when I receive a message?https://i.imgur.com/fa1a2TR.jpeg
I'm trying to scrape together the funds for a WearOS/Generic smart watch that doesn't need access to the old Galaxy Store, but if I have to get out my Galaxy Active 2 after 2025, I'm SOL when it comes to watch faces, since it uninstalls all the old ones when pairing to a new phone
Hello guys! I just received my new redmi watch 5 lite, but in the screen there is a small vertical line on the right side. You can see it a bit in the blue icons. Is it faulty? Should i turn it back
Hey, so I am looking for the fitness Plus smart watch, my usually requirement was better battry life and near to accurate health counts. From my research or online review fe is giving battry backup less. And some are saying fit3 has less features.
Fe is right now at 10k and fit3 is around 5k, so which will be better if look for the above requirements.
Your opinion will be greatful
So i decided to go back to android(samsung) and i need to sell my apple watch. Any recommendation on this? Samsung watch will make the decision easy as it is the same environment but i wanna know there is any better smartwatch than samsung watch. Anything as long as its under 400 dollar. I mainly use the watch for gym.
Hey guys
I know many smartwatches have bluetooth calling but can you recommend me one that can answer whatsapp calls ? I read that this only works with samsung and google phones whatever smartwatch you have is that true ?
Any feedback appreciated
Recently i was given a smartwatch called the smartwatch s9 fitpro or something, there are people who have tutorials, but a tutorial i havent seen is how to put music on the smart watch, any ways?? also wondered if theres a way to put in an sd card
I kinda want a smart watch. But I will not be using any of the health data on it. I have severe anxiety and panic disorder, often about my health. So seeing my heartrate pulseox etc would just trigger that. (so id have to turn those off)
If I am not using the health data is there a point? What else does a smartwatch offer (aside from seeing texts) I want to see if there are uses for it that would apply to me
So I recently started buying watches. I love wearing them and my wrist feels naked without one now. What is the best smart watch that is suitable for daily use? I want it to do most of the functions that any high functioning cheaper smart watch would do(a la Apple Watch), but want the piece to also be a fashion statement. Budget is 10k or less(I know there is unlikely anything ar that upper range, but jic).
Thanks.
Hey, I’m hoping you can help me out. I’m looking for a smartwatch that’s stylish and feminine (something elegant and not cheap-looking...). I’m not into plastic designs and would prefer a metal or leather band. The sporty vibe isn’t really my thing, I would prefer something that feels more polished and refined.
I’m more interested in health features like heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking than hardcore fitness stuff. I’d also like it to handle things like notifications and reminders, but the look is just as important to me. A long-lasting battery is a must as I don’t want to be charging it every day.
If you know of any smartwatches that combine functionality with a more classic, feminine design, I’d love to hear your recommendations since this will be my first purchase. Thanks in advance for any suggestions
EDIT : I've read through all the comments and suggestions, and I really appreciate all your answers and recommendations. I’ve decided to go with the Withings scanwatch 2 in blue and rose gold for its timeless style and because it meets my expectations. Thanks!
Hey there!
So, I'm in a dilemma while searching for a smart watch, and it appears like the perfect solution does not exist - but maybe I just haven't found it yet - so I'm asking this subreddit to shed some light on my search.
I'm looking for a watch that does preferably run WearOS, because I want to make use of Spotify. There are occasions in the gym or when I'm outside walking where I don't want to take my phone with me, but want to listen to downloaded music using Spotify. I've heard that if a watch supports WearOS, it will support Spotify, so that's something for starters - but maybe other watches support Spotify (and downloaded offline music) as well. Also, something like Google Wallet or Maps would be awesome on the watch.
There are a plenty of watches to choose from, but now, I'm looking for some extra health features amongst the classic ones, as:
I'm not sure if I have very specific requirements, but it seems impossible for me to find a watch that ticks all those boxes.
I'm aware that a watch like this might be pricey, but please post all recommendations regardless of the price for now - so I have at least something to look at.
I'm looking forward to your answers, thanks!
Hi all, I am looking for a smartwatch to track my health (sleep, stress, heart ect). And with so many choices i am not sure which one to get. My budget would be max 120,-. Do you have any recommendations which smartwatch would be good? And I am a lady so it's oke if its womenly ;) Thank you!
I have a NOS Samsung Gear s3 that I realize is no longer supported by Samsung. I'm wondering if there are any apps that I can sync with it. TIA.
I'm looking for a hybrid smartwatch that will track my vitals throughout the day and during workouts. My budget is between $200 and $300.
Do you have any recommendations for a good hybrid smartwatch within this price range? I dont see many new hybrid watches so would it be better off going with a regular smartwatch instead?
I have been lurking reading all the posts and i am still undecided. I hate the aesthetic of the apple watch, i like traditional looking watches. I am an iphone user and had an older Galaxy s3 frontier that i liked the look of. I am trying to get back into a smart watch and the market is overwhelming.
It seems that garmin has some of the better watches on the market. I am looking for an all around smart watch, with notifications, basic fitness tracking (casual gym goer, hiking, kayaking), and sleep tracking. Was looking at the Garmin Epix Pro, but is it worth investing in 2 year old tech? Would like to be able to change the bands, so i can wear for all occasions but its not a deal breaker.
I only have a $250 budget. i have a oneplus 12 phone. recommend me a good smart watch please
Hi, I'm looking for a smartwatch, I absolutely loved my pebble, and loves its simplicity, I also absolutely love the Amazfit Neo, the only think I wish the Amazfit Neo had was a vibration motor, as well as the piezo speaker.
Requirements: Long battery life- I would like something that lasts so long I forget to charge it. Always on display-but not one that interferes with the battery life. Simple notifications- I don't to see they type and some basic info, e.g. it's a message from John Smith. Vibration for notifications (not just sound) Step & Sleep tracking
Not required: Speakerphone Continuous heart rate monitoring
I'm thrilled to hear the potential Pebble resurrection but my Amazfit Neo is slowly dying and the other option is replacing the battery to extend its life.
Garmin Vivomove style still worth it ?
I'm looking for a watch to track my daily activities and exercise. I found three options for hybrid watches: Scanwatch 2, Vivomove Style, and Vivomove Trend.
I think the Vivomove Style suits my needs best, but I'm unsure if it's worth buying a smartwatch that's six years old. Is the technology outdated?
And the scanwatch 2 is my second option but hearing some negatives on the software and design quality
I found this via gsmarena
TL;DR
We’re making a new Pebble-style smartwatch.

I wanted a top-notch smartwatch for at least a few years, and this August I bought myself my first smartwatch - Samsung Galaxy watch 7. Before that I had a simple Huawei band which cost like $30
4 month later, I barely use any features except vibrating alarm and countdown timer, also I use it to track my infrequent runs, which I did perfectly fine on $30 Huawei shitband.
I have come to realization that smartwatch is a total overkill for me, I even thinking of selling my Galaxy watch and buying something cheaper (like Fitbit).
How do you guys justify owning a smartwatch? What features do you use that are just impossible to accomplish on cheaper wearable devices?
EDIT: By smartwatch I refer to $200+ devices like Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, Garmin, etc.
My watch updated last week and the fonts/design changes are just so annoying, I know this sounds silly, but it's just annoying enough to make the watch not usable to me
It's also slower, my watch is old, 4
Recently got a whoop and after realizing you need a subscription. I don’t know if I’ll keep it after the first free month is over. I’m probably going to sell it since I got it for cheap on eBay and can’t return it. Anyone know any fitness watches which track around the same metrics as the whoop? A big one for me is sleep tracker as I would like to know how I’m recovering. Preferably cheap as well if it’s possible, if not I’ll probably just look on eBay again.
