Watch locked and need help.

My son added a pattern lock to the screen and forgot what it was. Is there any way to reset it so I can use it again. Pressing the small button on the back only reboots it.

Revert to original Factory Installed OS

Is there a way to get the original OS back on the LG G watch? Google has pretty much destroyed this watch with their updates. i can no longer play music on it, i can no long transfer music to it. All i needed the watch for is to play music over bluetooth when i go out for my jogs and runs. why should i spend $300 on another watch to get the same functionality? its not like any of the new ones are any better. i dont want heart monitoring or any of that pointless nonsense.

Can't install apps after factory reset

I have a LG G Watch with Android Wear ( 1.5 ). I did a factory reset on my watch (while connected to my old phone) but apps would not load correctly. Even after shifting to a new phone, it still has the same issue. I have factory reset the watch many times and that does not fix it. Based on some research online, it seems the issue is tied to Google Play Services on the watch not being updated. I read that an older copy of the Wear app might help, but I don't have an APK for that. After a factory reset, the LG G Watch has the following in the version info: Google Play Services ( 8.7.01 ). As a note, in the past the watch worked fine with 3rd party apps so it isn't an issue where the app itself doesn't work with Wear 1.5.

Navigation Issues

There were some updates a while back to either WearOS or Google Map that have made navigation stop working on my LG G watch. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if anyone had any ideas to get things up and running again?

Charging problems

I really like the LG G Watch. It has lasted me through 4 phones from 2014.

Sadly, now it is having lot of problems charging on the cradle. I keep cleaning the contacts to no avail anymore.

It shows a big white battery logo with the black lighting bolt and briefly flashes the LG Logo for maybe 10s and then back to this loop again.

Leaving it on the cradle makes the phone super hot to touch after an hour or two.

I feel the contacts have corroded now. Shame really. Poor charging design with the exposed contacts that way but a great watch.

Shame. I''ll buy a Samsung watch next.

adb device unauthorized help

I have TWRP installed and constantly get 'unauthorized' instead of 'device' when trying to connect using adb. All the info I've found on resolving this issue only pertains to phones and not the lg G watch. Any help appreciated.

Reverted back to previous version?

I disconnected and reset my Android LG Sport Wear smartwatch and and after turning on, it appears it reverted back to a previous version. For example, shipping left or right in the screen brings you to the watch faces. Android pay doesn't work.

It says my software is up to date. Versions: Home app: 2.50.174306658 Google play: 14.3.67 Android is 8.0

Any thoughts

Problem w/ Step Count & Battery

New user her--I have had a ZenWatch for a long time and just picked up a used G Watch on eBay. Two issues that I have noticed and was hoping for some feedback. The first is the step count does not seem to be working too well. Previously (ZW) would count my steps on an elliptical. Today, after normally getting like 5,000 steps on an elliptical, it only totaled 250. The second is battery life. I was at 100% when I started my work out and was down to 55% after. I have the screen off to avoid drain.

Any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated.

Suddenly power loss

I have suddenly started to have a battery life of nothing more than a few hours. Other than the day and change from before.

Has their been an update that might effect things? Or should I just remove everything and restart it all?

Steps not counting correctly after new phone

I got a new LG V20 and after my LG G watch reset and paired, everything seemed good. Now I'm seeing that my steps aren't being counted properly. What used to be an 8,000 - 10,000 step routine is coming in under 2,000 steps. Any ideas where to start?

Turn off G Watch after unpairing with phone?

Hey guys, i'm prepping my old G Watch to sell on Swappa and after unpairing it with my phone I can't figure out how to turn it off.

It's sitting at the swipe to set up screen which walks you through pairing to your device.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

AW 2.0 Port Review

For those who do not know XDA developer ab123321 ported AW 2.0 to the beloved LG G Watch. If you are interested in flashing it click [here] (https://forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch/development/port-lenok2dory-android-wear-lg-g-watch-t3624441), and if you need a tutorial click [here] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHRZWZes4jY&feature=youtu.be).

Back to the review

User Interaction -

From what I have read and experienced is that the watch is made to operate like an LG Watch R, which has a circular screen and a button which is used to launch Google assistant and the application drawer. In order to emulate a press from the home one needs to shake their wrist (assuming you have wrist gestures on). I personally was not a fan of getting a shoulder workout every time I wanted to check the weather, so I installed a launcher which still gives me the swipe to view apps features. AW 2.0 has an option to type using a keyboard, with the small screen I am impressed how accurate the software actually is in detecting where and what letter the finger is touching.

Speed-

Comparing to AW 1.5, AW 2.0 has slowed down the device quite a bit, but its bearable considering the aging devices specs. I found that after I restarted the watch I need to give it an additional 4-5 minutes to completely load up the processes, and work fluidly. I found the animations to be a bit heavy so I reduced it from the developer options, which did help.

Battery -

After the update the watch has lasted me a full 24 hours with regular use such as messaging, navigation, and music control. I noticed that using the play store downloading applications kills the watch, so I do recommend downloading applications when the watch is charging.

Features -

My favorite feature of AW 2.0 and reason for flashing it was Google Assistant. I will admit that the "OK Google" hot word recognition does take some time to register, the microphone recognition has far improved from what it used to be. Also having an independent store for the watch is amazing as I dont have to install parent applications on my phone which drains a lot of battery.

Overall if you are looking for a new experience on your watch, dont mind losing some performance , and our willing on taking the risk, I highly recommend you flash AW 2.0.

Leave any questions down below and I will try and answer them.

HAPPY FLASHING

LG G Watch w/ Android Wear 2.0 XDA Beta - adb backup

Has anyone experienced and resolved this?

The adb backup command below does not cause the LG G Watch to prompt for confirmation. No backup file nor errors follow.

$ adb backup -all Now unlock your device and confirm the backup operation.

Translate App Microphone Issue

My LG G Watch is all in order and working fine. Current updates and everything.
The microphone works fine when making Voice Commands (Taking notes, setting timer, setting alarms, etc.) but for some reason when using the Translator it won't hear my sentences. Permissions for the microphone is indeed enabled.
It constantly says "Speak Now" with the microphone button pulsating but no matter what I say it doesn't register any of my words and remains "listening" to me.
The Translator was working properly yesterday and, other than a System Update (which I initiated because the translator stopped working), I haven't really done anything else with the watch.
EDIT: I made the realization that the Translate App on my watch, for some odd reason, is using the microphone on my phone while the App itself also lags horribly while translating (taking around 15 seconds or so while originally it only took around 2-5 seconds).

Is anyone else having this issue, and if so, have you solved it?

First boot LG G Watch

Hello everyone,

I just got an LG G Watch for myself and my girlfriend from a friend at work that was just going to throw them out. I brought mine home and plugged it in for the last few hours, but the display hasn't lit up when plugged in like the videos of unboxings I've seen on Youtube. Ive tried the little reset button on the back several times but to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas on what i should try next?

Has anyone else's G-Watch stopped syncing since the AW update?

After getting a bunch of "Android Wear has Stopped" after an apparent AW update a couple of weeks ago, I've factory reset the watch and cleared AW's data. Now when I try to do the setup process, the watch gets "updates" and then is "syncing", but the AW app is stuck on "Checking for updates" (even after the watch has finished with the sync) and my watch doesn't even have the right time.

Always On Not working any more

So I just got the recent update for the Lg G watch. The Always On feature is not working anymore, the watch screen blanks and needs to be touched to be activated. The wrist gesture is still working tho.

Change tilt-to-wake angle

Is there a way to change the angle needed to activate tilt-to-wake? I've had a G Watch for a day now, and I'm already getting shoulder issues from trying to activate the screen. I just can't twist my wrist far enough. The watch seems to work best when I wear it on the side of my wrist, which is a really awkward way of wearing it. Right now I either have to wave around like a madman with the risk that I'll punch someone, or I have to rotate it with my other hand, which defeats the entire purpose of wrist gestures.

In short, this is just kind of shit. Is there a way to set the rotation needed to activate the watch?
