Has anyone contacted fitbit customer service for a glitch or issue with the app and how did that go?
So I’ve only got data for six weeks but it seems like my lowest sleeping heart rate is relatively high.
So typically my resting heart rate given for the day will be anywhere between 67 and 83 bpm. The lowest it ever goes (during sleep) is between 56 and 74. I know that’s less but still it does seem relatively high.
Some nights the lowest figure isn’t even when from when I was sleeping. I do have chronic sleep issues and am on various medications. Many nights it’ll actually be lowest while I’m reclining scrolling social media after a meal, rather than when supposedly relaxing ie. sleeping, having a bath, meditating.
Is it not really that precise a thing? Or the Fitbit not that accurate? Am I experiencing quite a lot of stress whilst I’m actually asleep every night?
It isn’t just even when I’m clearly dreaming in REM sleep or whatever? Is it from physical or emotional pain? I am curious and also a little concerned. I am really trying to work on improving my sleep.
Like most people, I recently got the readiness score for the first time.
I've found that before ovulation, my readiness score was consistently moderate to high, and after ovulation, consistently low to lower moderate.
RHR is one of the three factors in the readiness score.
The normal pattern with the menstrual cycle is that the RHR will drop leading up to ovulation, increase after ovulation, and then drop again leading up to the start of menstruation (or stay elevated and continue to increase with pregnancy).
Since this is a normal and expected physiological process, I don't feel that these lower scores represent reality.
There's also predictable HRV variability with the menstrual cycle, which is another factor in the readiness score calculation.
So for those who have had this feature longer... does this improve with time as it gathers more data about my normal range? I've used a fitbit with HR tracker for years, so it has plenty of prior data, but maybe it's only analyzing from the point when the readiness score feature became available.
If not, I'll probably have to hide it, as it seems to be having a negative effect on my motivation.
NOT a tech support thread.
I don't need to troubleshoot, I just want to know if the current "Android syncing issues" mentioned here are related to sleep tracking only tracking the "Sleep Timeline". AKA it's only showing Awake/Restless/Asleep. Instead of the Awake/Light/REM/Deep chart
Found this thread explaining exactly the same issue
It's a very common problem lately on the forums. I am just bad at searching fitbit forums, you can delete post if you want mods, otherwise leave this up as another indicator/reminder for others who find it.
i got the turtle once, but i almost always get the dolphin.
When I'm working on the job site, I have my phone hooked up to the Bluetooth speaker, but I don't like having my phone in my pocket, I've broken way too many screens. I used to be able to use my versa 3 to play/pause, raise/lower volume and change tracks. Is there anyway to get this function back? Or should I be looking into a new smartwatch?
I'm not sure whether to keep it or sell and get a Garmin Vivo active 5 or Pixel Watch 3? Really want to use it to help me train for my first half-marathon. Does anyone have any experience of doing this or any recommendations?
I've had a versa 3 for a while now. I wear it at night also, to track my sleep. Recently, the wristband keeps popping off when I flex my wrist, including every night while I'm asleep. I had a spare band so I swapped it out, but that's not resolved the problem. It's the problem being caused by a tab on the watch itself that should be holding onto the band but isn't? I don't suppose there's anything I can do about it? Between this, and the screen detaching itself from the watch and needing to be glued back on (which has happened with every fitbit versa I've had) in getting pretty disappointed.
Well, I can’t get my Fitbit to sync today. I’ve seen this complaint off and on before, so I guess this is just a rant. But the “help” page they sent me to says it’s a problem for some android users. I’m an iPhone user. Are other iPhone users seeing this too?
For over a week week my personal range for my rhr has been out of range. Today it was up to 10bpm higher (77bpm). Is it possible my Fitbit is malfunctioning or should I see a doctor?
I woke up this morning and did my usual morning routine. I looked at the steps on the app which reported 280 steps. There was no way I'd walked that much in 10 minutes. I then took the watch off.
3 hours later I put the watch back on and looked at the steps on the app and it said 1150!

Hey everyone,
I recently upgraded from a Mi Band 8 to a Fitbit Charge 6. Today, I noticed a big discrepancy in the step count compared to my old tracker. Normally, on a typical workday, I’d get around 3,000 steps with the Mi Band 8. But today, with the Charge 6, it recorded around 8,000 steps – without any major change in my routine.
It seems like a lot of hand movements are also being counted as steps, which is pretty frustrating. I read that setting the tracker to “dominant hand” might help with this issue, but I’m not sure if it’ll be enough.
I’m generally happy with the new features on the Fitbit, but I’m considering returning it because step tracking is one of the main things I rely on, especially as I’m focusing on it for my diet.
Anyone else experience this with the Charge 6? Any tips on getting more accurate steps?
I want to transfer the ownership of my Fitbit charge 6. I removed the device from my Fitbit account using the Fitbit app and deleted the user data from the watch through settings.
Now when we tried to pair this with a new phone with a separate Fitbit account, it fails to connect. It gets stuck in the state where it expects the 4 digit code to be entered in the app, but no code displays on the watch.
I’ve tried reboots - both watch and phone, re installs of Fitbit app, Bluetooth reboot etc.
Interesting thing is, I tried to set it up with my original account again and then it worked fine.
The watch is pretty new and I haven’t activated my Fitbit premium yet, which I got for free for 6 months, not sure if that matters.
Both old and new phones are android and Fitbit account is signed up using google accounts.
Does anyone have any pointers ? I’ve tried suggested steps on the internet.
Thanks!
So just got the pixel watch 3 to try it out and see if the cardio load is enough for me.
Personally happy with my Fitbit sense 2 as I don’t need the smartwatch, but the cardio load feature really interested me.
It’s a great approach to tell users their exertion levels during the day for general activities. All other watches that I know of track your load to some degree or another but only when you record a workout. Both have their benefits and use cases I think.
Like this morning I walk the kids to school and run around doing garbage and all that and I’m at 20 now. As it’s my first full day I don’t know if that’s a lot or low at all but at least it’s putting a number to it that over time I’ll be able to follow and track and understand if my general day that day maybe was tougher than others.
Garmin has body battery but it’s a different approach and not sure which I like more. I like the idea of the cardio load better from my understanding and limited use case for it.
That said. I’m wondering what others cardio loads look like? What is “typical”? What do people get for a general day with maybe not workouts? Curious how this thing works and looks for others.
About a year ago, I was shown by a helpful Redditor how to see the original sleep log when they changed to the ugly, useless graph and when I checked the feed today, FITBIT TOOK IT AWAY AGAIN!!! The feed no longer has the option to look at your sleep log, so I am forced to use the shitty line graph bullshit. I don't know when it updated, but I am hoping someone figured out how to find the original graphs/log style and can help me out again. Why do they keep messing with the sleep log?? Just leave the app alone!
Hi Fitbit experts, I’ve never had one before, but was given one (charge 6) to wear as part of a medical study. The data are shared with the researchers, and I assume google is getting it too. Is there any way to block google and anyone else while still allowing the researchers access?
