New old stock Pebble Steel will not connect to Galaxy Z Flip 6

Hello. I have a new old stock Pebble steel. I also have a pebble 2 that I disconnected from this phone. I tried to connect the Steel to to my phone and was unable to. I uninstalled the app and then side loaded it as a new app. All of the permissions are on. I went to pair the watch to the phone and it will not connect through the app. If I try to use Bluetooth pairing through settings, I am able to pair with a correct pin. With the watch paired to the phone through Bluetooth, I am unable to pair when I am back in the pebble app. Here is a picture of some of the information about the watch. Thanks for your help

Is NavMe broken?

Hi, all. NavMe has been one of my favorite Pebble apps since Pebble was an actual company. Lately I've been having trouble getting it to start up when I start a route in Google Maps. Sometimes I can manually start NavMe on the watch and it picks up the route, but sometimes it does nothing other than give me the "start Google Navigation to continue" message. I've tried it with both the companion app on the Rebble Store and the updated app that aviation_hacker released last year.

Even when NavMe works, I've noticed a significant delay in screen updates on the watch, to the point where the distance shown on the watch is up to a half mile behind the phone, and the updates come in big jumps. If the update misses one of the alarm triggers (2 miles or 0.2 miles, depending on speed), the watch never buzzes. This means that even when NavMe works, it isn't useful since I have to watch the phone anyway to make sure I don't miss a turn.

Has something changed? Have others seen this problem, and is there a fix?

Alarmist - tips on getting it to work or alternatives?

I just upgraded to an S24 Ultra and finally got Rebble working - happy to continue using my Time, but I'm having issues with the Alarmist app. This app is big part of my use case as I use it to wake me up without waking up my wife and it's very handy for other alarms I have going off throughout the day.

I am using version 6.4.1 of the Google Clock app as I have for years. Also, it initially worked with all the tests and then just didn't work this morning. Also, I went to uninstall/reinstall the app and now it's not available and I can't get any modded versions to install ...

New leather strap for Steel

Made a new leather strap for my Pebble Steel. Old one disintegrated. Just used an exacto knife to cut up the strap at the lugs and I think it worked out well!

Notification responses.

I pay for the Rebble service, (and will keep paying untill my pebbles live) but if any of you are interested I asked CGPT for help with notification responses, this was the answer:

Here are 10 statistically likely pre-written responses for most scenarios, with translations in Spanish. These responses are concise, versatile, and cover common interactions:

  • "Yes, of course."

"Sí, claro."

  • "No, sorry."

"No, lo siento."

  • "I’m busy right now."

"Estoy ocupado ahora."

  • "I’ll call you later."

"Te llamo después."

  • "Thank you!"

"¡Gracias!"

  • "On my way."

"Voy en camino."

  • "What time?"

"¿A qué hora?"

  • "I’m not sure."

"No estoy seguro."

  • "Let me know."

"Avísame."

  • "What do you need?"

"¿Qué necesitas?"

These responses are adaptable for both casual and professional scenarios and should help you reply efficiently using your Pebble watch. Let me know if you'd like variations or specific additions!

Any way to fix driving = steps

Just wondering if anybody ever came up with a fix that makes the Fitness tracking not suck at detecting if you’re walking or in a car/whatever

This is a pebble 2 hr

Idea: 22mm watch band w built in e-ink display 4 notifications

If the concept was just notifications (weather apps calls alarms etc) that you can press to dismiss or decide to get your phone out to look at and the display was just small enough to see like an old pager, could it be integrated into any watch band? Maybe with a hot-swappable battery?

I like the idea of notifications on my wrist and not having to get my phone out of my pocket, but I don’t like the idea of having to charge my watch.

I like the pebble but the older ones don’t hold a charge and I’m new to this sub, but I don’t know about any battery upgrades or even replacements but I have had this thought about this watch band idea because it could work with any watch.

What do you guys think?

Just got my first Pebble!

Hey! Wednesday was my birthday and I got a beautiful, near mint condition, Pebble Time Steel! I'm soooooo happy! I also put on an Alpine Loop strap that I bought on AliExpress. The watch came with the original one but I didn't like it.

Trouble finding my Pebble Time with my CMF Phone 1 by Nothing

Hi all! I'm so thankful for this community, who helped me find my favorite watch and helped me get it hooked up to my Pixel 6 a few years ago. And everyone over at Rebble for your hard work, it is MUCH appreciated! Unfortunately my Pixel 6 died, and I bought the CMF Phone 1 by Nothing, because who doesn't want a phone for $200, haha. It took a few weeks, since I'm not super tech-y, but I finally was able to sideload in the Pebble app and get it to run. Unfortunately, I've been unable to get my phone to see the watch. I can connect to it directly using the Bluetooth, but it disconnects a moment later. And then when using the Pebble app to find the watch, it searches but never finds it. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks for your time! (pun intended)

Time Steel To New Home

Looking to finally let this go. Served me well for a good while, but I've settled on a Garmin as the next best mix of fitness tracking, battery, and a complete lack of need to make phone calls from my watch.

Screen has some marks, but there was a screen protector on it for most of my time with it.

Battery was replaced and the case Sugru'd together. Likely due to the battery's own charging circuit, the watch will now only show up to 90%, even though it is fully charged.

Somehow lost the retainer on the leather band, so that was replaced with one that's close in color.

Pack of screen protectors, OG band, and charging cable.

Hands on with the Pocuter Spectra

I've spent the past few weeks with a prototype of the Pocuter Spectra, and I'm pretty impressed. I've seen a few mentions of it here, but wanted to start a new post for questions that folks might have about it. I've also posted some pics/info related to the internals on the Rebble Discord. I'll likely reply faster over there too, but feel free to AMA about it, bearing in mind that the unit I have is a prototype.

is there any watch as charming as the pebble and its os?

i just love how the pebble looks and the os is basically the whole selling point for me. all the other watches have those black modern looks but the pebble just shines for its charmness. is there any watch comparable to its charmness?

I had my 2 Pebble time, waiting for a rebearth

I was waiting for some group to get theri hands on the source and rebuild what was once the great Pebble ecosystem.

Its been 3 years of using a Amazfit Bip and I have gotten used to hot having access to all the great things.

Today is a sad day where I go and put my watched up for sale.
