smart watch suggestions - fitness focus w/ longer battery life (ex-versa user)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have!

Looking for a smart watch to replace an aging Versa 3 that has become unreliable. The Versa for me was a pretty good mix of core features, though I've often found myself a little envious of the extensive ecosystems that apple and wearos have access to. The Versa 4 put a knife in any third party options, which was a deal breaker for me because it meant no sleep-as-android integration or spotify control.

It seems clear now that Google is rolling Fitbit watch users toward the pixel watch, which is unappealing because of its abysmal battery life. I'm a fan of multi-day hikes, long runs, and endurance exercise and also generally just a forgetful person that doesn't need one more thing to charge every day, so something with a minimum of 3 days battery life would be ideal.

Ideal features:

  • 3+ days battery life (a 5-7d+ would be incredible)
  • Basic fitness tracking (step tracking, heartrate monitoring, etc) and sleep monitoring
  • On-board GPS
  • Doesn't need cellular connectivity - piggybacking off phone is ok most of the time
  • Ideally WearOS ecosystem? Or at least have a handful of integrations
  • Don't care about always-on display; move or shake to activate ideal

One last thing: Ideally it'd be a square-ish design and not be overly large. I've noticed that many of the watches that might be good candidates here (OnePlus, TicWatch Pro) are pretty massive clunkers and I have a smaller wrist (17cm); square watches tend to look a little bit better but I'm open to suggestions.

Watch for Call, Text, Alarm no music

is there a watch that only allows the basics of calls and texts (or at least text only if not calls) and setting named reminders/alarms but that does not have music function? i expect no from my own research but wanted to ask.

Looking for a Watch to Monitor Health

Good day, everyone!

I’d like a couple of recommendations for a watch for my mother. She recently visited a doctor, and they advised her to constantly monitor her blood pressure. She was recommended the Omron Heart Guide, but unfortunately, I can’t find it as it seems to be sold out

Could someone suggest alternatives that track pulse, sleep, and blood pressure? She has an iPhone—would Apple Watch be a better option, or does it not matter?

Recommendations for Non-Apple Watch

Can I get some recommendations for a smart watch which isn’t apple which fit the following:

Available in UK.

Up to £400, ideally less than £300.

Classic watch look, round face without being too sporty. Black, or dark colours, no bright straps etc.

Basic Notifications for iPhone - calls & messages through watch not required.

Basic health information like heart rate.

Activity tracking, steps & able to be used for run with iPhone, don’t mind if it’s GPS or not.

Good battery life.

I don’t want to have to pay for a subscription to access certain features etc.

I’ve been looking at the Suunto Race & Garmin watches but nothing stood out.

Wake me up 8 hours later

Since all smartwatches have sleep tracking and they know when did we fall asleep exactly, or maybe closely. So is there an option or app to let them create an alarm for exactly 8 hours later or any custom time when we fall asleep?

Huawei watch fit 3 battery concern

How many percentage does your watch fit 3 consume per day with normal usage? I charged it yesterday at 3:56pm then as of this moment 12:08PM, it's percentage is down to 88%. Note that I also used the watch earlier on my 1hour outdoor run. TrueSleep, heart monitoring, automatic stress test, and automatic blood oxygen are enabled. I'm using a Power Level 1 watch face and AOD disabled. Is this normal?

Smartwatch Suggestions - Nursing

I'm a system administrator, but I'm working on moving into the nursing field. Very tech savvy. Looking for a watch that meets these specifications:

  • Decent (2-3 days) battery life.
  • Notification support
  • Very easily accessible display (tap or button is fine, but I need second tracking)
  • Basic fitness tracking (heart rate, SpO2)
  • Durability preferred (I like the raised bezel of the Galaxy Classic because it protects the screen, but I'm thinking about trying an active model)
  • Sleep tracking would be nice, but I'm not upset if it doesn't
  • Price range <$400, but if there's something above this that fits my request very well, I'm open to hearing it.
  • Easily sterilized (I typically use 70% isopropyl wipes)
  • Data privacy is a concern.

As of now, I'm considering the Galaxy Watch 6 ($$130 renewed) due to price-to-performance, but I'm concerned about its durability and battery life. The Garmin lines of watches seem neat, but expensive and a bit bulky for my taste. I'd use a Pebble if there were a more modern, sleeker option.

I’m particularly interested in connecting with individuals who have in-depth knowledge and expertise in smartwatch development, sales, or marketing strategies.

If you have experience working or hold roles such as Managing Director, Director, Sales Manager, Technical Manager, Product Manager, or Marketing Manager, I would love to hear from you.
Thank you in advance for any help or connections you can provide!

Step meter

I've had a watch 9 pro for a while now but I think the step meter isn't working correctly... could it be the software? The sensor? Or does the watch itself not have this meter working correctly?

Hi, how are you? Anyone who has a Redmi watch 5 lite, is there a way to be able to reply with predetermined messages on WhatsApp? I see that in calls there is one option but not in WhatsApp messages. Thanks

Cheaper/better option than Garmin Vivoactive 5

My old (secondhand 80€ 5 year old) Samsung Galaxy watch recently broke while swimming, so I need a replacement. My criteria are:

  • Watch functionality (duh)
  • Waterproof for basic swimming (5 atm?)
  • Timer, alarms, stopwatch
  • Heartrate monitoring
  • Pedometer
  • More than 2 days of battery life

Nice to haves but not strictly necessary are:

  • Step count is exportable
  • Stress monitoring
  • Sleep quality monitoring
  • Temperature reading
  • ECG
  • (Offline) mp3 player with Bluetooth headphone connectivity
  • Google pay

I don't really need to connect it to my phone to be honest, so I don't need any great functionality in that department. I plan to buy it in EU if that matters.

Googling led me to some recommendations on this sub, esp. the Garmin Vivoactive 5 or a Fitbit, but I was wondering if something else fits my description better. Since this market seems to change very rapidly and most recommendations appear heavily sponsored, I was hoping for some insight from this subreddit. Thank you for helping! :)

ISO a cheap smart watch with temperature.

I'm looking for a watch where I can just glance over and see the outdoor temperature without having to pull out my phone.

Overseas smartwatch for kids?

Hey everyone!

I bought my daughter an Apple watch with cellular access which we use to keep in touch with her. It allows us to call her without her needing to have a phone. She's 9.

We are travelling overseas soon and I know that the plan that we have will not allow the watch to roam.

Does anyone have any suggestions about cheap LTE smartwatches that I could buy for the trip? Or any way that I could get the Apple watch to work on the trip? We live in Australia and are travelling to Thailand.

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Best Smartwatch?

Requirements:

  • <$100
  • Bluetooth Calling
  • Installable apps
  • Bright, big screen
  • GPS
  • Waterproof
  • Other basic sensors and features

I know this is a LMGTFY question, but online reviews are mostly biased (sponsored), and i want opinions with experience

Smartwatch that still syncs with phone but no access to internet for many days at a time.

I am looking for recommendations for a smart watch that ticks the following boxes:

- Maintains accurate time without internet syncing

- Rugged and durable in an industrial environment around large mechanical equipment

- Large easy to read face, 46mm or larger if round.

- Works well with Android phones.

It would be a plus for the watch to still sync health, sleep, step info to the phone without internet connection for several weeks at a time. Any experience with watches in austere and hard environments is genuinely appreciated!
