Talk about everything and anything related to the hobby of scale modelling, be it figures, war vehicles, civilian vehicles, aircraft, fantasy, sci-fi, anything goes. Hopefully there'll be a few people that share an interest in sanding a 2mm tube to make it completely cylindrical.

I went way overboard on the liner, any ideas on how to fix or is the model trash
Wondering if someone prints a guide for this stuff with photos/drawings. Looking to do a Dauntless & Helldiver in the pattern for a particular *Casablanca-*class dive bomber squadron. I've read that the carriers had their own tail patterns rather than for individual squadrons but haven't found many examples. Information on these CVE "Jeep" carriers is sparse in general.
TIA for any help.
Hi! So I have what seems to be a 3D printed kit (it’s an aftermarket kit to modify a car), and it’s quite a bit thicker in spots than the stock pieces. It’s mostly not a problem except in one spot-I’ve started gently carving out some material, but can I use a sanding drum in my Dremel for this?
I ask because I’ve used some 3D printed pieces before, and I’ve found they’re easy to chip and crack. This kit was expensive and I don’t know if I can even get a replacement right now.
I recently bought and began building my first model kit. It is an academy 1/72 scale P-51C "princess." I painted the cockpit because I couldn't build the rest of the plane until it was painted. However, now I am at a bit of a blockage. I finished building most of the plane, the only things left to add are the propeller and the landing gear. However, I wanted to know how I should go about painting it. I am using brush painting and wanted to know if primer would be needed before painting. Also, what are some good clear coats? I understand that it makes the decals look better. I also need to know where to get some relatively cheap paint as my local hobby lobby both lacks the right colors and also costs an arm and a leg for just 4 small bottles of acrylic paint. I really appreciate any help you can provide. I will post pictures of the build once I am finished.
Hi there, as title. Apart of E-Hobby at Wan Nian and Jixin Model shop, are there any other shops to visit in Taipei ? I am predominately build Sci-Fi (Ma.k). Thank you :)
What is a good price to buy the Pocher Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition at?
Previously, I used gloss paint meant for touching up cars. Worked really well and got a very nice coat. However when I bought it again and used it to paint my GTR, it ended up speckling a lot despite using the exact same thinner to paint ratio and PSI. What could be the possible cause of this? I suspect it could be inconsistencies in the quality since the paint is not meant to be used in an airbrush. Either way I’m switching to Mr Hobby gloss in future
Hey everyone, I am working on a custom diorama. It involves an old German village kit. I need some figures for it, 1:144 look like giants and 1:150 are too small. Does anyone know of a good place to find scale figures? Maybe somewhere in the 1:146 scale? Should I find someone to 3D print? Need help finding more scale figures in general, any recommendations helpful, thank you.
I need a technique to make a belt out of leather and electrical wires, 1/35 scale, does anyone know how to make them?
Hello, I currently use Iwata’s airbrush cleaner but due to financial issues I would like to know, does anyone have any ideas for a cheaper alternative to airbrush cleaner? In the past I’ve used regular isopropyl alcohol (first aid cleaning alcohol) thoughts?
Just a quick question, is there any market for selling built models? I am far from a professional but have been told by a few that I should look into selling some of my recent work but I don't know if there's even people that would buy a built model, I kinda assumed anyone interested in plastic models would want to build them not buy pre-built. Just curious.
