Talk about everything and anything related to the hobby of scale modelling, be it figures, war vehicles, civilian vehicles, aircraft, fantasy, sci-fi, anything goes. Hopefully there'll be a few people that share an interest in sanding a 2mm tube to make it completely cylindrical.

Decided to try something a little different as I had the house to myself tonight. Speed built a Pak40 I got at Hobbycraft. The wheels might be a little shabby, need to do some touch-ups but overall happy enough, only took a two or three hours in the end.
Can anyone recommend a decent circle cutter for thin sheet styrene, available in the U.K.? I currently have the one pictured and it’s been good for two or three years but the blue clamp has become loose and the blade is wandering either side of the intended cut.
Thanks.
Hi all
I browsed AliExpress and found a product called Bismarck super upgrade set Includes wood deck, photo etch, metal barrels and anchor chain
Anyone here ever purchase it and know if it’s good?
Greetings,
The title pretty much says it all....How would one go about sticking decals printed on plain paper on a model?
Hi, just looking at getting my first airbrush and wondering if it's practical to use it inside the house (i.e. carpeted spare bedroom) with a portable paint booth vented to the outside, or whether this will get the missus on my case? I'm planning to use Tamiya acrylic paints for the most part.
Sorry for all the posts.. I just joined this group today and was excited about sharing my work. 😃
Hey guys! Still pretty new to scale modelling and painting so working thing out as I go.
I purchased about 15 Tamiya paints without realising that they are more suited to airbrushing which I don’t have.
I’ve just bought a 1/16 Tamiya figure which I’m keen to paint to the best of my ability.
What’s the best process for thinning my Tamiya paints and painting, I have some Tamiya thinner at home and Tamiya paint retarder on the way, can I thin it with just the thinner in the mean time? What’s the best way to do this and should I use a wet or dry palate?
On the models I have practiced with so far I found that the paint was way too thick, and rolled up even when mixing with water (I’d assume this just doesn’t work). I been using the few citidal paints I have in the mean time but the main colours I need are all Tamiya paints.
Any other info or tips would be awesome! Thanks!!!
