Newbie Building a Model Car Paint Question

My father has, of late, been talking a lot of the MGB, so I figured I'd buy a model car of it since he can't buy one. So, I bought a model kit of an MGB from Aoshima, which seemed to be the only brand that sold MGBs. I've done a little bit of searching around on this sub and in general and bought a starter tool kit for building model cars. The bigger question, though, is paint. I've read other comments that the instruction say what kind of colors to use and I've found that and bookmarked each of those paints from different sites, like Amazon, Spraygunner, houseofhobbies, etc.

I've heard it best to spray paint. My question is, they are in a can and seem more like the kind of paint you brush on, so is there a coorelated spray paint color for each of those colors listed in the instructions, or do I only really need to spray paint the body and undercarriage? Won't I need the same color primer for all the different colors or do I just need primers for the big objects like the body and undercarriage and can just use a brush on the rest? Is there also a spray gun that I can load the paint into, so I don't have to buy different version of the same paint?

I'm building 1/24 cars, but I want to build something fun and small, maybe a Gundam or 1/72 military equipment or something I don't know what.

Still a work in progress but I am really happy with how this is coming.

I really wanted a version of the RV from Jurassic Park the lost world and unfortunately they've never made a 1/64 scale version of it with the articulation joint as far as I could find. So I snagged a couple of the regular version and combined them.

What did I do wrong here?

I just tried polishing this after spraying three coats of tamiya ts-13 and letting it dry for ~36 hours. I wet sanded on 2000, 4000, 6000, 8000, and 10000. Any tips? Should I redo the clear?

Paint ( to thin or not to thin )

I just purchased 6 cans of rustoleum glitter spray paint ( should look really good on car bodies ). My question is after I decant the paint should I thin it? Most spray paints are thin already.

First model in over 30 years.

The painting was harder than I thought it would be. But overall it was fun.

Tips for a Beginner?

Found this kit in my basement. My dad painted like 3 parts (literally) on it and it’s sat ever since. I want to take it over and build it but I’ve never done something this complex. Really want to produce a good final product so any suggestions on supplies or tips on how to build it would be greatly appreciated!

Has anyone used metal stickers from ZoomOn? How do you like them? Can you show us a photo?

Workspace / Bench area

Curious what everyone else’s workbench or work areas look like for their kit building. Here’s a look at mine. Still a work in progress.

Before you ask, the thunderbird I’m working on is for my daughter and she wanted it green. The Delorean on my little spray box is an extra body I use to test out tips, colors or mixtures. It’s the sacrificial lamb haha

Had my fiancé pick the color for the Californian kit she bought for me, and she picked out a fantastic looking purple for it! Can't wait to see what it looks like after I get the decals and clearcoat on it
