As the title states, I am curious if there is a 5th gen Honda Prelude kit available?
The square headlights are my favorite gen of prelude!
Going to be making a replica of my dad’s Supra he use to drive when I was in grade school. This will be his Christmas gift! Then it’s Thanksgiving and a trip to Germany with my wife for vacation! Then I will be doing my first kitbash with this mini van. I want to create a Dodge version of the Ford Super Van or Renault Espace F1 van! Super stoked to continue this fun lifestyle!
I used Testors Clear Cement and Window Maker and things got, well, messy lol. What should I use to clean this up? Paint thinner? IPA? Something else?
I'm relatively new to this hobby. I usually just finish a kit and then buy the next one.
But I've seen some of you guys' stashes and, my hat's off to you. It made me wonder if I should be doing the same.
Is it because of the fear that a certain kit might become unavailable in the future?
Just sprayed the body with Tamiya XF7. Currently thinking of trying to do cherry red with it, but im not really sure how, any tips? Does the tamiya XF27 work?
First kit. Just finished polishing by hand but see some slight orange peel. Next time will wet sand and polish base coat, not just the clear coat. And also may invest in rotary polishing attachments.
Anything else I should consider?
Starting with Ryosuke's RX7. But fujimi doesn't have very good templates... Many plastic flaws to correct and gaps to fulfill with puty.
Ok so basically i want to know what is your go to routine to paint you car body. the biggest trouble i have is that when i pull my airbrush trigger to the max (to get that nice glossy coat) i ALWAYS have paint specks on my model. since I've changed of airbrush/compressor/paint/thinner i don't know where the issue is. maybe the way i do it ? What do you think ?
Anyone else dedicate a day to spraying, possibly THE most used color in 1:24th scale, automotive modeling, semi gloss black? 😆😆 I do, and I call it X18 day. Lol.
I'm amazed at the super glossy paint jobs people can do here. I end up with orange peeling even when using an airbrush instead of rattlecans. Then I read about "polishing".
Is there a good youtube tutorial that shows how to do this?
