Resin Kits is a subreddit designed to for all fans of character model kits.
This includes resin, plastic, vinyl, 3D printed, you name it! Feel free to share your builds, WIPs, questions and enjoy your time here.
This is not however, a pre-painted figure collector sub, please refrain from opening topics of pre-painted unofficial figures that are wrongly called "garage kits" or "resin kits".

So far ive had no luck finding it and am trying to ask for help 😭
This is totally on me. I forgot to spray test my gloss sealant (Krylon) on a spoon before spraying my GK, and it came out patchy with some visible tiny droplets. Thankfully, I only sprayed an arm. Is there any way of saving it? Or will I have to strip it and repaint this piece from the beginning? (If I do have to strip it, how do I go about stripping the sealant off?) Any guidance would be much appreciated!
Hello all! I’m about to start working on a Sailor Saturn kit. I’ve done a few kits already and typically reserve gloss finishes to convey texture for things like boots and accessories, keeping fabrics, skin, and hair matte. I noticed though that in her artwork, Saturn has distinctly VERY shiny hair. I wonder for characters like her, would gloss actually be more accurate to convey this? Or even semigloss? Or do you think the effect would just look fake and out of place?
Also, sorry for making two posts now on this project lol. Perhaps a monthly thread for questions could be a nice addition to prevent the sub getting flooded with basic questions? As always, thanks for any help!
Hello monkeys! I’m wanting to create a custom base for a Sailor Saturn garage kit, and I would like to base it off this image. Does anyone have experience on how to create a base resembling natural rocks? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
In hunting for models I come across a buttload of Gundam kits. That would be cool, if I liked Gundam, but I'm looking for something else.
I really just want to make models, so I'm just looking for something that is abundant. I'm into fantasy, Evangelion, comic books, horror, and video games. Any suggestions or points to other posts would be great.
As for sites I travel, I'm on Etsy, ebay, goodsmile, otakumode, gkfigure, e2046, volk, kotobuyaki, figurehaven, big bad toy store, and yolo park. If I'm missing any good ones, I'd appreciate know.
Thanks fellow nerds!
I pretty happy with her so wanted to show her
I pre ordered two figures and one of them says pre-order (purchased) and one only say pre-order and when I go to my orders it says pre-order (prepaid) it’s my first time ordering from them, what does it mean? Plz help
I have a bunch of kits I know I won’t get to soon, but I find myself throwing the parts in a vat of oxyclean pretty soon after opening the parts. I guess I do this so I can handle the parts without possibly getting residue all over my hands? It also takes like a day to soak, so doing it sooner rather than later gives me more peace of mind, even if they go right back in the box after they’re dried.
alright. i give in. what are some decent nippers i can order for this sort of thing? i'm currently working on a 1/5 atm and the tabs are pretty large, don't have the patience to sand them down bc of the size
edit: preferably off amazon. just dont wanna pick up ones that are of bad quality
What do you guys use to line up pins when putting parts together? I'm having a hard time finding it, it looks like sometime of liquid mask or paint?
