I got pulled over for speeding and I have a court date in a few weeks. Yes I know I shouldn't have been speeding. I was just in a hurry and it backfired. I've never been pulled over before (I'm 30) so I'm not sure the best way to go about this. The cop said if I pay the ticket, I don't have to go to court. I don't have that kind of money at the moment so is there anything I can do? I also have two small children and I have no one to watch them on that day. I'm planning on calling the Justice of peace tomorrow and see if there is any other option. Anyone know what I should expect? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

28F. I moved here a little over a year ago and sort of stumbled upon the PCP I’m with now. I’m currently with UT health and seeing Dr Amy Buck. Unfortunately she doesn’t take any of my concerns seriously and I’m on the hunt for a new PCP. She never really presses for test/scans and it’s frustrating.
