Hey I know these are supposed to go in the pinned comment but it's all old posts at the top so i'm gonna post here for some exposure, sorry if it's against the rules.
The lease is from August 1st 2024 to July 31st 2025 for $745 a month. It's a 4 bedroom and each person has their own bathroom. My one roommate who's staying is a really great roommate. The complex is 5 minutes from campus and it has a shuttle stop. It also has a pool, volleyball court, gym, study room, dog park, and trails. It's honestly a really good complex I just need to move out and I already resigned. Someone save me. Message me on insta @the.crawling.rot if you're interested.
I'm going through electives that I need to take in the future for management. Has anyone taken MGT 3803, Strategic Mgmt-Nonprofit Orgs? Is it easy? Who was your professor? Or if anyone knows easy management electives it would be much appreciated.
I’m in the Cybersecurity program but I have seen programs at the Alamo colleges that have way more learning of the concepts of cybersecurity and I want to go there fall semester I feel it’s better to learn actual concepts then having to sit through classes I don’t need. I had already accepted FAFSA for UTSA so do I have to attend the full year or can that be transferred to one of the other schools for this upcoming semester? Thanks in advance!
As I am going to be a freshman does my resume need a lot? I have never had a job. Is that bad?
Two spots left in HUM 3633 Acting for the Screen for fall. Announcing here in case non-film majors didn’t know it existed.
I want to transfer to UTSA from my community college for fall 2025 to major in biology. i have a 2.2 GPA but i am retaking a class that i originally had a D to get an A, which will likely bump my gpa up by at least a point. i have 30 credits and i plan on applying once applications open in August. i'm worried they wont accept me, even for biology. i know there's one requirement for transfer students of 30 credit hours with a 2.5 GPA, but i dont know if it's automatic admission. does anyone know if i would get automatically accepted and be able to major in biology? im also worried about housing, i plan to house in either chaparral or laurel village. does anyone know if they are competitive to get accepted into and also when do applications usually open? also, how are those dorms usually? how would you rate them? thank you so much! i've been really worried about it lately.
What meal plan would y’all recommend for a non-commuter first year student?
What is the easiest asynchronous class that I can take for the fall semester? I am currently lined up for an internship for the fall and only planned on taking 6 hrs until I realized that a grant I received requires 9 hrs at minimum to receive. I am at the end of my degree and none of the courses I have left fit with the time I am available in the fall, nor are they offered online. Any suggestions?
When will this show up? I know that there’s an estimator, and I’ve done that already but I kinda need to know the exact amount already haha but idk if there’s a way to see. Plus, I’d posted a while back about adding a double major and then never approving it and I’ve still not gotten any word back from anyone. Wondering what to do as I need to know what classes to take in fall!
Does anyone know if all financial aid has been posted? I only see utsa Grant no Pell grant. Thanks for the info
I got farsa for a work study, I was wondering where I can go to do work study. It’s a good amount of money and I would need it for school. I know I have to do work study to receive it, but don’t know where to even begin to look
My friend (international student) applied for Master in CS by the application deadline which I think it was end of April but he has not received any decision yet. Is this typical? Anyone know how long this is going to take?
When do regular season tickets go on sale, more Importantly the UT game. This is my last regular fall semester, as I will be in clinicals and preparing for the military next fall. My girlfriend and I would like to go to as many games as possible.
So basically, I’m an incoming freshman towards the end of my senior year I decided to switch from mechanica towards the end of my senior year I decided to switch from electrical engineering to finance. I’m starting to have a lot of second thoughts about my decision and feeling a lot of regret am debating on whether or not I should change back or wait a few weeks get settled into my classes and then make a decision I’m really struggling.
Hi guys, I'm going to be a freshman and right now I'm choosing classes. I just met with my academic advisor and he wasn't very helpful, so now I'm completely lost as to how to plan my classes (and a little overwhelmed lol)
Does anyone have any recommendations as to what classes I should take first year?
Should I try getting my core classes out of the way or try getting my prereqs first? If so, which specific core classes?
Also, I'm waiting for my AP scores to go through, which gives me credit for some of the freshman classes, i currently registered in. For example I have credit for AP Lang, which would be equivalent to the freshman writing and composition class. Should I wait until July to register for the honors semester 2 freshman comp class, or should I take that second semester?
For context my major is computer engineering, and I'm part of the honors college. So if anyone has any advice as to what order I should take the honors class requirements in, that would be SUPER helpful.
Also is it possible to change my advisor? Because I learned more through a five minute convo with my older sister than I did through that 45 min convo with him.
Anything and everything i could know about the above mentioned will help me decide. Appreciate all opinions, thank you.
title. i was trying to purchase a surface parking permit as an incoming freshman, but when i click the button to the “select permit and permit agreement” page it flashes a yellow error message saying no permits are available for me to purchase yet. this doesn’t really make sense because it says on the previous screen that i’m approved to buy a permit. is anyone else experiencing the same issue or know what i should do?
edited to say i am already registered for classes and i absolutely have to have my permit soon because i am taking summer courses
EDIT: Payroll confirmed the pay date was moved to Monday, 6/24, so direct deposits won't be coming through today if you usually get paid early or on pay day.
Any other GA's/student workers not get paid on time this week? Today is payday according to the semi-monthly pay schedule and I usually get paid a day early, or at least by midnight on payday, and nothing has been deposited into my account yet. Is anyone else experiencing this, or did anyone get paid yet? My timecards were submitted and approved by the deadlines listed online so I don't think that's an issue. Would Juneteenth impact payday like this?
Can you tell me about the program? I noticed that some courses require a prerequisite course, so does that mean that the couse load is more than 30 credits?
This is an assignment for Freshman Composition. We need a minimum of 100 responders. If you can help, we would really really appreciate it!!! (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd7X9RqZSQQLCTtCeqFFY-mNAC-UiOnRUMaZj-b72sQ4yFEDw/viewform?usp=sf_link)
I saw this guy sitting outside the MH playing his guitar, but he was singing songs from Pierce The Veil and Sleep Token, and I NEED to know who he is. If anyone knows who this is lmk so I can follow their IG. I was gonna say something but I had to stay with group of kids for their summer camp so I couldn’t walk away. I don’t meet many people who listen to Sleep Token, let alone ones who go to UTSA so.
I'm really into combat sports and was wondering if anyone else is interested in a weekly program at our rec center. There's a kickboxing class, but it's all cardio with no equipment or contact—pretty far from real combat sport.
Anyone else down for something more hands-on with proper gear and actual sparring? Would be awesome to get something like this going.
Drop your thoughts or suggestions please!
if anyone has taken this class before do you think it’s easy and can be taken online or should I stay in person
I'm currently a student enrolled for Fall 2024, but I had a change of mind and was thinking about applying for another master's program for Spring 2025 due to multiple reasons. So, before I sent a new application for the new program, I made sure to update all my information except the section where they check if you're a current student at UTSA or not. If you are, you are required to enter your UTSA ID (which I have now). However, I can't seem to be able to update that section. What should I do now? Should I send this application regardless, even though I'm currently a student?
I'm confused, it like a new department/college? It houses programs such as Data Analytics, Statistics and Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Science. But I also noticed that both Data Science and Computer Science already belong to different departments: Data Science for the Department of Management Science and Statistics, while Computer Science belongs to the Department of Computer Science. Another thing I'm confused about is which department Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence belong to, because I can't find information about their departments.
I'm looking to move to san antonio since the cost of living is cheaper but I'm trying to get a bachelor's in art and I'm researching schools
And so far utsa seems like the best option out of everything I've found
Hey! I'm looking around the apartments near UTSA and Hill Country Place looks pretty good. Just wanted to see if anyone has had any good experiences with them!
I'm an incoming Freshman and my orientation is soon. I know when I have to be there but I was wondering how long does orientation usually last?
hi! i am trying to sign up for a parking permit for 24-25 as a freshman. i keep getting the message “there are not yet any permits available for you to purchase. please try again later.” does this mean that they are out of permits? i also have not yet registered for classes as i got a late advising appt. anyone know what this message means? thanks!
I graduated a few yrs ago but I’m just curious if they ever mentioned where it was going 👀 or if you’ve seen improvements to campus or different departments in the school
