Organizing my winter holiday cards before I put everything away for the season and realized I have two Winter Solstice cards. Since that is today I figured it was the universe giving me a sign I should send them out into the world!
Offer is open to flaired active members of the sub. If more than two qualifying requests I will use the randomizer to choose.
To request please comment with your country and tell me something you like about winter or some fact about the Winter Solstice if you know one.
Will message people when offer closes.

So today is the first day of winter, but you can't tell here in Colorado. It got up to 58 degrees today! It was kind of nice though while I let my son take all his monster trucks and watched as he slid them down his slide. So I know we're not gonna have a white Christmas which is usually the norm around here, but it's usually not this warm.
Any way I hope you are all enjoying your weekend before Christmas or Hanukkah and that the weather is being nice to some of you. Happy Holidays everyone, it's been a crazy year! Time to thank a bunch of you.

Shoutout to all my bookish RAoC friends who are also on Goodreads! If you're anything like me, you LOVE hearing about your year-end wrap-up stats over there. If so, do you want to exchange and tell me about your 2024 book stats and what your goals are for 2025? I'm finally caught up on all my holiday cards and will be off for the next two weeks, so it's a perfect time to reflect on my 2024 and set new goals! Comment below your favorite read of the year and feel free to chat me (or PM is fine too) if you need my info.
It's been a busy Saturday here, what with cooking, baking, enjoying my partner's company (it's his birthday weekend), and trying to get ready for the holiday. As I sit here typing, the neighbors have their gorgeous Great Pyrenees dog out for a walk, so I think I will nip out and give him a pet and a treat.
Thanks to these great people - wishing you all a Happy Solstice, Happy Yule, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa, whichever you observe! Or just Happy Holidays!

Hello lovely beans!
I am here to thank some of the most lovely peeps around. Thank you for all the lovely mail, I needed it more than you know. If you have sent something for my sis in law, that will be a separate post :D
Soooo the thanks go to
u/veterinariancheap687 Thanks so much for your card! Winnie and Mooshu sound lovely :D I have 2 kitties as well, Ginger and Pepper. They arent very needy but Pepper is very much my baby. Ginger is a cat of her own and doesnt like anyone around. They are both siblings from the same litter. Pepper is a dilute tux, and Ginger is a dilute tortico. Tehy are both 5 years old. I also have 2 doggies, Champ and Smokey. Champ is a Staffy, white and brindle, he just turned 8. Smokey is a black lab, and he will turn 9 on the 28th. They are pretty different dogs. Smokey is more like a therapy/emotional support dog bebe. He is always right by my side, and he always takes care of me. Champ is more playful, but he is also a meanie towards Smokey sometimes. He is super cuddly tho, and loves everyone. Thank you for everything, and helping me feel better <3
u/BATTLE_METAL Thank you so so much for thinking of me and sending me a card. The story you shared about the kitties, I am so so happy to know that even thought they went thru a lot of things and have their own shortcomings, they are going to be happy together and thrive. I also want to let you know that I understand what you are going thru, and that if i can be of any help, my dms are open. Thanks again!
u/kimmylubs haiii! Thanks so much for your lovely card! I hope the nail on your rabbit is doing better and that rabbit bebe isnt in pain. OMG how are you feeling being back home after your travels? That sure sounds like so much fun! I am not much of a solo traveler, but I imagine it was a great trip! Reading your card made me smile and I thank you for reminding me to be me. Hugs and happy holidays to you as well
u/catnatomy Thank you so so much for the lovely made Christmas Card! Happy Holidays to you <3
u/inkyfingerspgs hai! Happy Holidays to you as well! Your Christmas sounds like a lot of fun :D I am going to be spending time with my husband and fur bebes, but nothing else. I love the pen you wrote the card with. Is it a fountain pen? The ink color makes me believe, so but I'm not sure. Either way i love the look. Happy holidays to you and your spouse <3
u/knightinthesky hiii! thanks so much for letting me know that I am not alone. I appreciate the fact that you took time for me. Thanks so much for that. I loved the stickers you sent me, Merry Christmas to you as well!!
u/relax455 Thank you so so much for your postcard :D I hope you have an awesome holiday season as well
u/ravenzsnow x2 hi friend! thanks so much for sending a thank you note and an extra card! I am very happy to know you liked my silly stickers :D happy holidays, friend! ps. i loved all the cool stickers on the envelope too!
u/pierresgirl Hello lovely! The fact that you took time out of your agenda to send me a card makes me feel very special. I appreciate that you also took the time to talk to me about your day. Today, I woke up at 530 am, took a bath, and was up watching stuff, had breakfast about 8am (fried plantains and beans with bread) and kept on watching my show (that I am still watching and its 3PM). My husband loves Christmas and it is like your partner, he wants to watch all the movies and we have a list of about 300 movies he wants me to watch with him. I dont mind, but I suck at retaining information. By the time I watch the 3rd movie I have already forgotten things from the first one. I am sorry for the things you went thru, I am glad Pixie is there for you and help you thru feelings and things, and that you both have found a way to help others despite the things you have gone through. Thank you for sharing the stories about the ER, it reminded me that my dogs do keep me grounded as well. It is so lovely to read you, thanks for the time and for caring <3
u/evergrowingexmo hello there! your story about Koa was too darn cute! Thanks so much for sharing that with me. Dogs are fascinating and they are great companions. Koa has been to more states than I have!!!!! I am so glad to know you guys have each other <3 huggles back!
u/duttonemelia thanks so much for the Christmas card! I hope you have one of the bestest seasons ever :D

Love you all
okay

Okay I hopefully got this form squared away. I had my computer savvy husband look at it so hopefully it's working, if not please let me know.
Any way I've decided to be more organized and start a mailing list for next year. Especially since I know I forgot to send cards to a few people ever since I joined this subreddit. So I hope this keeps me organized. I might send out cards to people at random times throughout the year. And of course during birthdays and other holidays. I am taking a little break between now and mid January, but I'll still be lurking around and checking out requests. So feel free to message me if you need to. I'm just trying to catch up on some projects I've been neglecting this past month.
Here is the form link
I would prefer if you were an active member or have at least written a thank you. But if you are new and plan on being active then go right ahead and fill it out. If the form is still all odd please let me know and I will try and figure out why google has changed things again.
Once you are done with the form feel free to comment and tell me your favorite movie of all time.
I visited the Roberto Clemente Museum in Pittsburgh, PA during my anniversary back in October 2024. Roberto Clemente was a Puerto Rican baseball player. I’ve always known about him growing up, and he’s a huge hero in my culture. I’d love to share with you what I learned at the Roberto Clemente Museum.
To claim, please tell me the last kindest thing you did for someone else (human or animal). Roberto Clemente said, “Any time you have an opportunity to make a difference in this world and you don't, then you are wasting your time on Earth.”
I will message those picked when the post closes.
Be kind. It is contagious.
This is going to be long, which is a lucky problem to have 😊

Hi RandomActsofCards,
I came across this trend where people turn food/drink packaging and snack/cereal boxes into postcards. I think it is a super fun idea 🙂
If you’re up for it, I would absolutely love to receive a postcard made from the packaging or box of your favourite food or drink item. It would also be amazing if you could also tell me on why it’s your favourite 🙂.
I promise to post a thank-you once it arrives in my mail. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :)
Let me know if you would like to send, and I’ll DM my address 😁
Hey, now that Canada Post is delivering again I’ll offer 3 cards with fragments of The Book of Kells (greeting cards in envelope or postcards made out of the greeting cards with or without envelope, what the winner prefer). I’ve got a whole set of cards from Ireland as a gift.
Here’s what you do to win a card:
Two winners would be people chosen by randomiser and one person would be someone who matches my book taste the most.
Good luck!
u/Jdoodle7 thanks so much for the lovely peanuts card! I love Snoopy so much! Where did you get that cool stamp made? Of your username? I want to do that too as no one can read my writing haha. u/Kittycatcon thanks so much for the merry Christmas postcard! I love all of the characters on it!
I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to u/bellaisonline for the beautiful Christmas card she sent to me.
I am so grateful for your kindness - it truly made my day! Thank you for spreading joy and thoughtfulness this holiday season!
