hi, i have a fat ps3 (cechl04) and it is very very loud and i really want to fix this issue, so i googled and everyone suggests that i need to replace the thermal paste on top and the thermal paste under the ihs (delid) so i looked at a couple youtube videos and it seems really complicated and really risky

so i called a local playstation repair store and he says he doesn't work on ps3's however my issue isn't necessarily all caused by the thermal paste but mostly caused by the thermal sensors on ps3 reporting a higher temperature than actual, which causes the fan to run louder

This seems reasonable since the PS3 is around 15 years old, so some components might be malfunctioning.

Anybody know how to fix ps2 ISOs not working? I’m running cfw with multiman and webman. PS3 ISOs are running perfectly fine but ps2 ISOs aren’t. Every time I press on one it takes me to a black screen then an error message. I’m using prepISO and a NTFS usb

Hi! im curious about that, because I want to buy the camera and the move "controllers" (I dont know whats their proper name) but Im not sure if theyll work with hen.

I cant find information about this so any help is appreciated, I'll say that the controllers do connect and work properly without connecting them via cable, because I read somewhere that if there was errors during installation it could make things like that happen and maybe that info will help

I have the FAT version of the PS3 that came with 40GB from the factory (although now I put 120GB with SSD). The PS3 has HEN.

I need someone to help me as my console reaches high temperatures. After cleaning it thoroughly and changing thermal paste, it continues to heat up.

It reaches temperatures of 75C° on the CPU without even playing for 15 minutes (this in summer with 35C° in my room). In winter it takes longer to heat up, but it still has the same problem and the fans at 90% speed.

I need to know what it could be. Do I have to change thermal paste again or is there something I'm missing.

I tried to hack my PS3 using this guide by MrMario and everything went perfectly fine with no issues until the flash memory patch. After pressing the button to start I accidently dropped my controller and the whole browser and background froze, and after letting sit for an hour praying it would fix itself, I pulled the plug to try again. Now when I turn on the PS3, it beeps once before completely shutting down not a second later. (My PS3 is a Slim CECH-25xxB btw, which many guides said was compatible.)

After careful research it seems I need to buy a hardware flasher but since that method requires soldering (which I have never done before) I wanted to know if there were other solutions. Is soldering required in order to unbrick it or can I just get an e3 flasher and follow this guide from the psx forums?

I knownof a decent number of games that require a Dualshock 3. I currently don't have mine and have no idea when I'll get it back/replace it. Any way to bypass this necessity? Oblivion works, but R2 and L2 do nothing.

Both games freeze with crash it's at the first loading screen with urban reign sometimes after the ps2 logo or at mission 3 Other games work well I use hen 4.91 with multiman wepman and ps2 classics to run ps2 games

As title says, I need something that fully installs the game from BluRay to the HDD (already upgraded to 250GB) and loads the games from the HDD (so I don't have to use the BR reader), possibly without touching anything else on the console original hw or sw.

I don't need extra feauture like online, psn, file manager, etc. I just have a bunch of games I'd like to play without swapping discs or ruining the BR reader.

Is this possible?

Hello i would like to use my ps3 with my dualshock 4, i would prefer to use it like normal with bluetooth directly but cable is good too, i tried to follow the readme file but it doesnt seem to work, my ds4 acts like usual and doesnt have any rumble and ps button doesnt work, is it something doable or im asking too much?? maybe i miss something, pls help

So I have a PS3 Super Slim and PS3 Slim and both are CFW incompatible so I just use HEN on them but the system is very unstable. I'm currently running 4.91 but have used HEN on older firmwares like 4.88, 4.90 and more but on all those firmwares I am having stability issues, for example I go load a game ISO through webman and it just gets stuck loading indefinetely so I need to force shutdown my console every time. It doesn't happen while it isn't enabled but when it is enabled just a simple task like opening or closing the web browser can cause it to soft lock (it just keeps loading forever). This has a chance of happening every time i do something (loading a ISO file, entering a game, ejecting a disk through webman, opening the browser or something else) It doesn't happen everytime but it has gotten pretty frequent. I don't know if this is normal but it happends pretty frequently and my only answer is to force shutdown the console. Only plug in im using is webman and i used to use multiman. I also use an SSD but it also happends both on SSD and HDD.

I use XMB to list all my installed games on the drive, but I have some that are only ISOs displayed in WMM.

Thus I want to create blank PKGs that will be displayed on the XMB with only a name and an icon that will do nothing (or display a text, if that's possible), just so I don't forget these games exist.

Would anyone know how to do that? Thanks in advance

Hi all! I have a 2tb external HDD formatted in NTFS. I have my folders PSXISO, PS3ISO in the root. I found a fullset (around 2000 roms/950gb) of PS1 games (bin + cue). I have tried adding bin + cue games in the root of PSXISO and also inside a specific folder for each game. I ran PrepIso, I tried scanning with Webman, Multiman...nothing shows not a single game. Is there any limit of roms/files blocking? Thanks!!

trying to download game too HDD but it won't pop up in multiMan so I can copy it. I tried refreshing and scanning for the game but that didn't work. is cause they are both basically the same game? idk plz help. trying to download the USA version of burnout but only the EU version shows up in multiMan. I already have the USA version and have been playing it thru the USB.

Tried 2 different games today killzone 3 and uncharted - both failed to transfer to hdd when converting to iso. Any ideas what could he wrong?
