Basically the title. I have like 32 games that are all US Cd's and my US Wii got bricked from modding it lol! How can I get them to work on the Wii U?

It seems like the browser doesnt even work anymore, whenever I look something up it just reloads without doing anything.

CAT-R units like RVT-R have their own writers, but unfortunately I can't find available information about this device anywhere, except that compared to the RVT-R Writer, this device plugs into the SATA port like a normal disk drive. I'll try to keep it brief. I own a black Wii U that I've had a few years and homebrewed pretty much as soon as I got it. It has the homebrew channel on it but I lost the SD card which I used, so anytime I boot the homebrew channel I get an error code. Before it was "-3" and since putting in a new SD card, it's "-5".

Clearly I'm gathering here that I'm missing the necessary files or folders etc. on the SD card for the launcher to run properly. I cannot anywhere on find anything covering how to repopulate a new SD card for use with the homebrew channel and I don't want to go through the tumultuous process of uninstalling and reinstalling homebrew and risk a system brick.

So, essentially, I need for someone to provide me with instructions or preferably a download of what all I need to put on a new, freshly formatted SD card to make the Homebrew channel work again.

I have 5.5.5 U if that's relevant. Thanks in advance.

When I tired to put my sd card in the wii u, it started to say it failed then i turn off the wii u and check if the sd was locked but it wasnt, btw do have a new sd card to put all my backup in the new sd card and it still saying the same thing, if someone can help me thanks 👍.

i have a japanese wii u and hacked it and region changed it now im trying to do the same for the vwii. i got the ftpiiu on aroma but when i connect it to my computer i cant find the "setting.txt" file anywhere. if someone could help id appreciate it thank you

This is going to sound dumb but; I'm new to modding and I just managed to mod the Wii U and installed Aroma by following the wiiu hacks guide to completion.

What are the main things I can do with it now? Is there a website or YouTuber I should check out for inspiration? I'm thinking to add a frontend that displays box art for like NES / SNES games etc.

Anything like that doable on WiiU/Aroma? (Sorry about all the questions I'm really new to this)

hello ive been googling and cant seem to find proper intstructions for changing vwii region/language. i bought a wii u from japan and changed the language using the wiiu.hacks tutorial but cant seem to find the tutorial for the vwii. if someone could point me in the right direction id greatly appreciate it. :)

I encountered a softlock in Wind Waker HD due to Medli walking into a room she is used to open and then not being able to walk out, if after this you save your game you´ve successfully soflocked your savefile and the game is now unbeatable, after trying save modifiers, modding the game and even using Hex Editors, I could not fix it, it is practically impossible.

Now, I´m making this post for everyone that´s going through this problem too and I guess it would also help anyone with a similar softlock around this part of the game, I´m providing the most acceptable answer I found, which is just replacing your savefile.

WARNING: This only works on an actual modded Wii U, I´m not sure if it would work the same in an emulator and the version I used is the USA version, I´m not sure if it would work with other versions but you´re free to try.

Requirements:

• A Wii U
• The SD you used to mod your Wii U
• A computer along with a way to modify your SD
• Save Mii app installed on your Wii U
• This document: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UUxDZTq7NAmIwATVF2T6aF41eTaL0UMx/view?usp=sharing (Its the savefile I´m offering, I took it from another guy which pretty much maxed the heart and magic gauges and mapped the whole map along with upgrading bomb and rupee capacity, he left it in front of the Tower of Gods but I advanced it up to the Earth Temple with Medli being unstuck, the three save slots are the same and have the name "Link")

Steps:

1. In your Wii U go to the Save Mii app.
2. Make a backup of your current save in Wind Waker HD (its the first option on the menu) on the profile you want to modify them and remember the numbers that appeared for the app, take a picture just in case (Make a couple backups in different slots just in case).
3. Turn off your Wii U and place your SD in your computer.
4. In your SD go into wiiu, then backups and look for the numbers you saw on the Save Mii app and enter that folder, there you´ll see all your backups of Wind Waker HD.
5. Choose whichever you want and remember which slot you chose (they usually have a number), when you enter it you´ll see another folder, this folder contains all the .sav files of your savefile.
6. Now you need to extract all the .sav files in the folder I provided and move them into this folder, it will tell you all the files already exist and ask you if you want to replace them, to this you need to say "Yes to all".
7. After they are done being replaced you´re going to take out your from your computer and going back to your Wii U.
8. In your Wii U go again into the Save Mii app and into the Wind Waker HD section.
9. Now you need to restore your savefile (its the second option on the menu), in this case make absolutely sure you choose correctly both the profile you want to replace the saves on and also the slot you replaced the .sav files on step 6.
10. If all is done correctly after the restoration is complete you can go back into the game and you will find the three save slots I promised.

Is there any chance now that Banjo Tooie is on Switch Online and runs smoothly that someone could dump and use the config.ini from that version to improve the wii u injection of it? The framerate is horrible on wii u as is, and the jiggywiggy puzzles are glitched.

About a year ago I installed CFW (first Tiramisu and then Aroma) on my 32 GB WiiU, while backing up I saw 5 retry, I didn't worry too much because the backup was completed, but I still took a picture of the error.

To prepare for an eventual death of the chip what do you recommend I do in addition to backup with savemii, is it useful to make another memory backup?

If the chip dies I will install an sd with the Interposer with the SDIO guide.

My girlfriend got a Wii U and I modded it for her (Aroma CFW), so far everything seems to run fine but I want to protect the console against any possible bricks. I read that ISFShax, if previously installed, could help repair many bricks without having to solder but I'm also afraid to install it because i read it may cause a brick if I screw up somewhere along the process. So I just wanted to know if you guys think it would be worth the risk installing it? (Our Wii U has Samsung NAND)

I found this plugin online https://github.com/capitalistspz/gamepadtopro/releases It seems to have added support for 2 gamepads to be used at once (as pro controller i assume) I havent managed to get it working. Do yall have any way to fix it?

My brother modded it years ago and doesn't remember what he did to get it there. We're trying to remove it to sell the WiiU.

I just received another junk 32g Japanese Wii U, and this screen shows up right after the Wii U logo on boot-up. When this screen appears, I hear background music for 5 to 10 seconds, and the system seems to function somewhat, but then it freezes checked the rear fan, and it's not spinning, so I initially thought it might be an easy fix--just replacing the fan. However, after searching online, I found that being stuck on this 'factory reset?' screen can be a symptom of a failing eMMC Again, it freezes on this screen. Does anyone have any ideas?"
