BD’s Mongolian BBQ - General Khan sauce

My wife and I get to BD’s maybe 2 times every 2 months and have tried our hand at making it at home, which is honestly not bad. I’ve been trying to find a copycat recipe for the General Khan sauce but haven’t had any luck. Does anyone possibly know one or where I could find it? Thanks in advance!

King of the coop fries and chicken strips (St. Petersburg, FL location closed)

The other day I was craving fries, I could picture the taste, but not the location. I realized it was fries from the "King of the Coop". If anyone could recreate/mimic the fry seasoning and "the biddy" seasoning for their chicken strips, you would be awesome!

Anyone work at outback and can share the recipe please? I've got the ranch, and I've also tried just mixing blue cheese crumbles into the ranch but that's not it. Really hopeful someone can share the actual recipe!

Chi chi’s El Grande Burrito

My mom is SUCH a picky eater and only of her only favorite restaurants was chi chis. She would get the el grande burrito and raves about the sauce that went on top, she said it was similar to enchilada sauce but more brown. Does anyone know of this recipe? I haven’t had mole’ but off the top of my head I’m wondering if that’s what it is? Thanks in advance for anyone out there with this knowledge!

Sobe fruit punch flavors? What did it taste like?

Were you a fan of this discontinued SoBe drink? Help me with a birthday present project!

I have ordered aronia berry juice concentrate and concord red grape juice from the listed ingredients*.

What other flavors do you remember that we could try, in an attempt to recreate this beverage?

Apple? Cranberry? Anything tropical? Like passion fruit, pineapple or mango? Coconut water?

Thank you!!

McDonalds UK's 'Rich Tomato Sauce' / 'Tangy Tomato Sauce' Recipe

McDonald's Rich Tomato Dip: https://www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/product/rich-tomato-dip-25ml.html

My Rich Tomato Dip: https://i.imgur.com/TtqU5rA.png

It's an amazing dip which (personally, I hate ordinary tomato sauce), came as a shock to me when I first tried it with mozzarella sticks in McDonalds, then I had it on my fries and I simply fell in love with it, I tried a bunch of combinations of ingredients and this is what worked best.

Ingredients:

Tomato Sauce (50ml)

Tomato Puree (40ml)

Salt (1 tsp)

Paprika (1 tsp)

Vinegar (1/2 tsp)

Garlic (2-5 Cloves)

Onion (As much wanted)

Sunflower Oil (1 tbsp)

Sugar (1 tsp)

Recipe:

  1. Mix the Tomato Sauce + Puree Together until a smooth and even consistency.
  2. Add oil, mix until even.
  3. Add Vinegar, Garlic, Salt, Paprika and Sugar, mix until even.
  4. Add small diced up pieces of onion (1mm cubes), mix in.
  5. Add any other optional ingredients (basil, chilli flakes, chilli powder, etc to enhance flavour)
  6. Leave to set in fridge ~1hr
  7. Serve hot or cold with fries, mozzarella sticks, you name it!

Old El Paso Chorizo Seasoning Packet Clone

Fell in love with the Old El Paso Chorizo Packets... but they have been discontinued and I cannot even find them from online sources anymore. I would really love to have a close recipe to this one. I would prefer a clone recipe as I have fallen in love with it... The listed ingredients on the back of the packet are as follows.

Sugar, Salt, Chili Pepper, Tomato*, Spice, Corn Starch, Garlic Powder. Contains 2% or less of: Maltodextrin, Modified Corn Starch, Vegetable Oil (canola and/or soybean oil), Silicon Dioxide (anticaking agent), Vinegar*. *Dried

I would love a similar recipe, if you know a similar seasoning blend please let me know and I will check it out... but I would really prefer to make my own.

Costco Croissants

It's been a struggle finding out just how Costco makes their croissants so... well just so fluffy and awesome. I've made attempts, and the products have been good, but for the love of all that is holy its not to the standard I'm trying to beat and I swear they guard that croissant recipe better than gold at fort Knox so if anyone can steal me in the right direction that'd be grand. If it wasn't such a time consuming process I'd keep at it but at this point it's just been too much bread.

Taco Bell quesadilla

Bruh. I just had to pay 25 dollars for two cheese quesadillas with the little potatoes and a Baja blast.

Please please someone help tell me how to do the creamy jalapeño sauce at home. And if they happen to know what cheese blend Taco Bell uses. I’d be super grateful.

Literally I tried finding and buying the sauce but it’s impossible to buy. And any rendition of it isn’t the same. Thankfully I found the fire and mild sauce on the shelf.

Ps. If you’ve never tried mixing the mild sauce with orange cap Valentina sauce then you gotta try it.

"Discovery Cajun Seasoning and Sauce"

Many moons ago, when I was just learning the very basics of cooking (and trying not to give myself food poisoning) I would rely heavily on premade sauces.

My absolute favourite was a sauce called "Cajun Seasoning and Sauce" by a brand then called Discovery ( now rebranded Santa Maria).

This sauce has now been discontinued for almost ten years, but I have found some listings online which although not available, have the ingredients list.

Now I'm an amateur cook at best, and not a scientist by any means, but I would very much appreciate if someone could help me break down the ingredients list into a functional recipe.

(Also, if anyone has an actual name for this dish, other than "Mexican cajun sauce" (pretty sure its not actually mexican) I would greatly appreciate it)

Lastly, if this dish is inauthentic, that's okay, it's more about the nostalgia, alternative suggestions are welcome for tomorrows dinner ;)

ingredients list:

CAJUN SEASON & SAUCE. Ingredients:

Sauce (97%): Tomatoes (42%), Single Cream, Onion, Mixed Peppers, Sugar, Celery, Modified Maize Starch, Paprika, Salt, Acidity Regulator (Malic Acid), Spirit Vinegar, Concentrated Lime Juice, Thyme, Oregano, Chilli Powder, Garlic, Concentrated Lemon Juice, Dried Bell Pepper, Cumin, Onion Powder, Cayenne Pepper, Basil, Black Pepper, White Pepper, Colour (Paprika Extract), Natural Flavouring.

Seasoning (3%): Salt, Cornflour, Garlic Powder, Paprika, Onion Powder, Black Pepper, Cumin, Thyme, Basil, Yeast Extract, White Pepper.

instructions were to season chicken, cook , add sauce, serve on rice

[Request] Help me imitate Trader Joe's Strawberry Overnight Oats recipe

I tried to make a form of Strawberry overnight oats before, but it came out thicker than I wanted too, and the more milk I add, the more calories it brings. I really like the flavor and texture of Trader Joe's Strawberry version, and I would like to be able to recreate that for myself.

Ingredients:

  1. Coconut Beverage (Water, Coconut)
  2. Rolled Oats
  3. Strawberry Puree (Strawberries, Apple Juice Concentrate)
  4. Strawberry Puree Concentrate
  5. Strawberry Juic Concentrate
  6. Salt
