I'm asking this because I'm pretty sure the filter has asbestos in it and obviously it's prohibited. And if I can't then what am I going to do with it??? Because I can't throw it out or destroy it because it will leak so idk what ima do
Bought this WWII-era khaki shirt with a 3rd Armored Division patch (used to be sewn onto the right sleeve but was taken off at some point) for $15 from my LGS months ago and has been sitting in my closet ever since.
Now I’ve begun to wonder: was this type of khaki shirt worn by US servicemen during the war? If so, what is this type called?
Picked up an 1887 dated Amberg with these markings on the buttplate can anyone help with identifying them
I’m currently looking for an M1928 Haversack and canteen to go with my US WWII web gear (I already have the ammo belt, suspenders, and first aid pouch). Trying to keep them around the 1942-1944 year range.
At my LGS, they have an M1928 Haversack (good condition) selling for $100 and various canteens (varying conditions and color schemes) selling for between $25-$35. Are these reasonable prices? If not, where else can I go and look for lower prices? And should I get a canteen with the same color scheme as the rest of the web gear?
Any help would be appreciated!
So just as a disclaimer, I am in no way affiliated with the site I just wanted to share the info because I thought others would find it interesting.
For a long time now I have been trying to find someone to trade my old WWII stuff. For example, I have an old Canadian WWII helmet and also Soviet Union crest/badge.
Since I live in a small shitty suburban town there was not a lot of options when it came to trading. I was thinking about posting something to Facebook marketplace but like again I wouldn't get that many good offers locally and not to mention trading over the internet is sketchy since you don't know if the person is going to actually send the stuff your way (so you might get scammed if the stuff is valuable).
That being said, I happened to stumble across a site called Telaport.net, and I found out that they run a service where you can send the stuff to their warehouse, they will directly verify if the proper things were sent in the trade, and then forward the packages off to their respective destinations.
They seem pretty new and I am just getting used to the user-interface but hopefully their service is pretty good.

I have been attempting to create a spreadsheet on all the various militaria I own, to include a picture, any dates or markings, era, and if there is a story to how I acquired it. So far, though, the excel route is subpar. Maybe I just don't know enough about it, but it only lets me have a small image, and only see two items on my screen at a time.
Is there a better way to be able to organize things that will also allow me to click one button and arrange things by era? Since I'm at well over 100 items, and of course still counting, I'd like to just keep adding to the bottom of the list. Any ideas?
Hey,
does somebody know where this hat was used and what its worth?
Greetings from Germany :)
I understand that the items are reproductions, not originals, which is precisely what I want. The uniforms listed on the website aren’t perfect but they still appear to be some of the most historically accurate and well-made repros offered online. There are not a great number of reviews and I’m just trying to determine if I’d actually receive a product if I were to place an order and if it would arrive as advertised. Anybody have any experience with them?
