It's literally across the entire campus from where I park. The 20 minute walk is so grueling and I cant do it anymore. My body hurts like hell afterwards, I'm sweating like a pig, and today it's cold as hell and raining. Ive already missed a few classes and I don't want to miss anymore, but I can't keep paying for passport parking because it's going to add up quickly (it already has).
I'm just sick of classes being so far away from where I park, and not being able to get a good parking pass each semester because I'm not a grad student or senior. My grade is literally suffering because my body is physically incapable walking to and from this class 4 times a week.
Hi! I’m considering transferring to Kent State and plan to major in Psychology (BA) with a concentration in counseling, and minor in either Business Management or Entrepreneurship. I’ll be commuting, and I’m currently at a small liberal arts school, so I’m used to a lot of personalized help and a tight-knit community. Since Kent is a larger school, I’m wondering how the experience compares. Specifically, do faculty members typically respond to emails in a timely manner, and do you feel that you get the individual help/attention you need as a student? Also, to current Psych majors, I’d love to hear about your experiences with the program. I’d really appreciate any insights/advice from current students. Thank you!
Hi all,
I’m looking to get into some volunteer work around KSU. I don’t have a car so something accessible by bus or on foot or super close to the university would be appreciated.
Thanks!
So I’ll be applying for my i20 and hopefully appear for the interview soon. When along this process do I have to submit my tuition fees for Kent state?
Hi! I just recently got accepted into Kent State on the main campus at Kent and I was wondering how well their biology program is? I have a lot of family that went there and I was thinking about committing but I'm gonna wait until I get the rest of my decisions back. I have 8 awaiting and I've gotten accepted into 4 schools already (Kent, Cleveland State, Ohio University, Uni of Dayton). I got in for the Biology - BS - Pre-Medicine/Pre-Podiatry/Pre-Dentistry major and i was just wondering if anyone knew if they had a strong program or not
Hello, I am an international student with 74% in undergrad, 1 internship, 1 thesis and 1 manuscript plus 1 RA experience. I have applied to PhD program as per the suggestion of Prof with whom I have contacted. The concern is, he is saying he can not guarantee the admission as he do not have control over admission process. By seeing my profile, any senior can guess whether I can get enrolled or not, because I have not applied else where ..
Ok im looking at the Eastway dorms because ive heard that they're the most likely for freshman to get, and im wondering... which, if any, of the Eastway dorms is the best? Are there really any differences or pros or cons to any of them?
Anyone have any info on how the food swipes worked, or any tips? I know all universities are a bit different? Thank you!
Howdy all! I'm back again hosting/DJing a Kpop dance party coming up soon in Kent! Drinks, pizza, raffles, at the beautiful Bar Lucci! Check it out and share!
How long do I have to pay that account balance? I owe 100 in stupid fucking parking tickets and just got another today 😭
How early do I need to apply for them in case I want them?
what are they like and how do i get invited
how hard are the core classes? i struggle with math, science, and foreign languages. i have a 4.0 so im sure i can get by in college but im worried about classes like math specifically.
i recently took a tour and i looked at the dorm model rooms. the only one i didn’t want to get was the one with the metal bars as a bed frame but i forget which those are called, and i would need to know if i wanna request which style of dorm i want. not a big deal if i end up in that style but it would be nice if i can try and avoid it.
I haven't gotten any real sleep all week and I'm feeling sick. I have a test in my classes today though. should I just sleep in and take a day to myself or should I slog though the exams?
Any engineering majors? I need tips on how to make it through my first semester, I’ve heard it can get pretty gruelling, how did you manage it?
When entering the visitor lot closest to student center/library you take a ticket.
Depending on what time you leave, the exit bars are already up.
Does that lot scan your license plates when entering, to keep track of everyone who doesn't or does pay? Just curious if there are any consequences for not paying the $7.50 fee lol.
i’m not a fan of rural small town living, i’d much rather be a part of a big city, but living in Ohio that’s hard to find. Even though the location of kent is very rural, would you say you still have exciting and fun things to do? i like to party and go out and live it up. what’s the party life? lmk!
i’m very interested in kent but i’m in between here or Ohio University. OU has an AMAZING script program, and i was invited to apply…but i like the benefits and location of Kent a lot more. Is the journalism program at Kent worth it? please let me know.
How is the master of public health at KSU? I'm a international student and got an offer recently
I'm currently a first year interior design major living on campus. Living in the dorms isn't horrendous but I've been continuously going home each weekend because I like to spend time with my family. I live in Cleveland, about 40-50 min. away from Kent. I've been considering commuting next year, but I'm not too sure? Especially considering how time consuming studios are....anybody have any advice?
I am trying to purchase things for college/my future dorm little by little in advance, so it doesn't all hit me at once, and I constantly feel like im forgetting about tons of stuff. What are some things that are essentials in your college dorm or things that you ended up needing/wishing you had that aren't super obvious? Thanks in advance!
Hi! It will only take 2 minutes. Please fill out this survey for my high school brother’s research project!

If you were Ukrainian and went to KSU, where would you hang out and meet fellow Ukrainians?
I'm an incoming freshman, planning on starting at Kent in Fall 2025. I am planning on majoring in Interior Design and was wondering if any current students had some advice for good dorms that wouldn't be crazy far from most of the classes for my major, and would also be good for a freshman to live in. Thanks in advance for any responses!
i just scheduled my classes for the spring and i think my advisor wants me to take more classes and i really want to knock out both of these requirements but nothing seems interesting,,, so im asking for suggestions n recommendations. perferably nothing w a prerequisite since im a freshman and nothing too writing heavy.... thanks
this also goes for classes that covers social sciences i forgot to mention that in the title
Hey guys, is MPh in epidemiology at KSU a STEM program?
transferring to kent for spring 2025 and doing aeronautical studies, however there's a decent chance i won't be able to get my medical to fly so i was thinking of doing dispatching as a minor whilst pursing either business analytics or just administration. ive heard the business school is generally good, but i wanna know overall opinions on it. what's it like? ive also seen the new ambassador crawford hall that was just finished and it looks nice, how is it so far?
How are the on campus jobs there? Are they easy to get? And what’s the usual pay rate
