Has anyone seen the Celestron – Omni XLT AZ 102 Refractor Telescope in Costco? I've seen reels saying its available for relatively cheap in Costco but I can't see it on their website.
If none exist and you are interested in seeking support yourself, I'm considering to start one myself.
I have recently endured my first narcissist discard and wish this torture on absolutely no one. It has been the worst few weeks of my entire life. Would love a chance to share and hear other's experience in similar situations.
Bedford!
Could the kids and their parents coming into the neighborhood please at least be considerate enough not to dump the entire bowl into your pillowcases and leave some candy for everyone.
Few of my neighbors who were out trick or treating with their kids got cleaned out within the first hour because some kids stole all the candy.
It’s just plain rude.
Don’t bother coming back next year because y’all are getting Rockets and not full sized candy bars.
“I bought a car in Ontario last September. I moved to Nova Scotia in August and now want to register it here. Do I need to pay an extra 2% HST?”
Hello, everyone! I’m looking to donate some of my clothes. Does anyone know if there are any donation bins near Mumford Terminal?
If you find yourself with leftover candy this Halloween (I *always* buy too much), consider donating it to a food bank or a shelter (Souls Harbour, Beacon House, Pheonix House, etc etc). You can even drop some off at the tent encampments, I assure you it would be well received.
Your waist line, and the less fortunate, will thank you. Everyone can use some chocolate in their lives as a pick me up.
Hi all! I am not from Halifax but my fiancé and I would like to elope there next September.
We would love to get married on a beach and are looking for suggestions near Halifax (up to 1 hour away would be fine). If anyone knows of a beautiful lookout point on the water or a nice beach they would recommend, please let me know!
Thank you!
Hey everyone,
I need to vent a bit about the increasing use of fireworks in our area. It seems like there’s a constant barrage of them lately, and it’s really disturbing the peace. Many of us are trying to enjoy our homes, especially those with young kids and pets who are scared by the noise.
I get that people want to celebrate, but this is clearly a violation of our local noise bylaws. It’s frustrating to see so many folks disregarding the rules and causing unnecessary stress for the rest of us. Can we please be more considerate of our neighbors and keep our community peaceful?
Thanks for listening!
So like, our ratio to kids that showed up to candy was WAY off this year. What are you supposed to do with 120ish treat bags (other than eat them)? Does anywhere around Halifax accept them as donations?
TIA 💜💚
My girlfriend and I both worked tonight and weren't able to make it out for Halloween... It's our favorite time of year to dress up and go out!
Wondering if there will be anyone dressed up or any Halloween festivities in the city tomorrow (friday) night?
Thanks in advance!
Is there any good Mexican cuisine in this city? I’ve tried several based on recommendations but all seem pretty basic and bland.
So far it's tied with a little girl in a giant inflatable "I'm riding a dragon" costume that was hard for her to walk in, but looked awesome, and a wee little child dressed up like a jam jar, with a nutritional info label on the back and one of those little crocheted covers for homemade jam lids that people used to make, as a hat. What are some of your favorites?
Hello, My Son lost his wallet this morning at the bus stop headed to school and we are just wondering is any body here may have seen it! Red and black with his school I'd and student bus pass. We really appreciate any help or clues. Thanks All
For the past year I have documented a real issue plaguing Morris st, Barrington, Hollis, and the south end. Halifax has a noise ordinance preventing loud noise, i.e. 18 wheelers from the docks from driving through the city before 7 am. These drivers continue to blow through the city now as early as 6 AM, blasting their air brakes, shaking buildings, and slamming into bumps which rattle the shipping containers so loudly, it registers over 100 decibels. When I call the non emergency line, they ask wlme for the names and license plates of the trucks ... Lol I am sounds asleep and I have to run to my window to hopefully get a glance at their license plate. When I call, it stops for a couple days but then these drivers keep pushing earlier and earlier until I call again. I am sick of this and it needs to stop. The longshoremen and truck drivers don't care that there are people who actually live and work in the city. They could drive a totally different route through mansion row but of course they won't do that. How can we make the dock trucks stop driving through the city before 7 am? People are going crazy and I'm not the only one.
I love this holiday, and It’s a beautiful day, please be vigilant when out in the dark around the roads later, it’s a particularly bad day for traffic, and bring a light if you can, have fun trick or treating!
