I’m considering enrolling in the Computer Science undergraduate program at St. Francis Xavier University (StFX) and wanted to get some insights from alumni or those familiar with the program. 1. How is the job market for StFX CS graduates in Canada, especially for roles in software development, data science, or IT? Do employers recognize and value the degree? 2. What are the opportunities for pursuing a master’s degree (MSc in CS or related fields) after graduating from StFX? Have alumni successfully gained admission to well-known Canadian universities?

I am a poet who lives in Toronto. I submitted some of my work to the Antigonish Review, which, I believe, is run out of St Francis Xavier. I got a half-positove response back, with a request to revise and resubmit. I recently resubmitted. However, when I googled the Antigonish Review today, it said the website no longer exists.

This is a bit worrying to me and I am wondering if they even still exist. And if they don't, who have I been corresponding with and why are they working with me for a magazine that seems to no longer exist.

Hello! I am wondering if anyone can give some insight on applying to the bridging program at stfxu. I am asking if people who’ve applied from out of province have had a good run with the process and also if the school is great to attend for nursing. I have been dreaming of attending a NB school since I completed my program.

I’m staying in a single suite in Riley Hall, is there anything I should know/be prepared for relating to this residence or stfx as a whole?

I got accepted into my residence and need to choose a meal plan, it is different from the website and I am trying to figure the costs of things, it is not letting me click on the plan that is now 350 meals and $400 in declining credits I believe. Is anyone aware of what the price is of that plan, because it is the required meal plan.

I know it’s pretty early but I have been accepted to a Bachelor of Business Administration at X for the 2025/2026 year. I’m staying in Bishops and I’ve just been curious about anyone else who has been accepted. Also anyone who has stayed in Bishops this year or other recent years how is it? I chose it because everything I read about it says it is one of the more social residences on campus. I also like the fact that it has single rooms. I’m hoping for a really fun and social first year and hope Bishops is the right choice.

I have some errands to run today but also have a meeting on campus. Does anyone know if they enforce parking during the break? I normally walk so I don’t have a pass but today it would be pushing it to drive back home and then walk.

I was accepted to StFX and am having trouble deciding which dorm hall to go to. I am considering either the nicer dorms in Riley hall or the more social dorms in Mac Isaac or bishops. I really want the social university experience but am also drawn to the nicer dorms. I was wondering how big the difference is between the two halls and if Riley hall is isolated. I won’t know anyone there and am hoping to make friends. Also are people seen differently based on their residence choice and are there any stereotypes I should know or about?

I'm looking to talk to people, figure out where things are happening, make some friends, that kind of thing. I live off-campus so I don't have the benefit of living next to people so I'm looking for more ways to socialize. Any tips?
