Hey Halifax job seekers! 👋
I’d love to get your thoughts on a new tool I’ve been working on – TailoredCV.ai. It's designed to help you customize your resume and cover letter for each job posting you apply to, increasing your chances of standing out to recruiters. The tool uses AI to match your experience with job descriptions, highlighting what matters most for each role.
I'm just getting started and improving the tool daily, so it's still a bit of a work in progress. But I'm super open to feedback! If you’ve got a moment, I’d love for you to check out the site and let me know what you think. There’s even a 7-day free trial if you want to take it for a spin.
Would love to hear your thoughts – or any ideas you have to make it better! Thanks so much 🙏

Hi all, I’ve been working in the industry for a year, also been to college and have my two year diploma and was wondering if yall have any suggestions on good places for apprentices, I’ve worked at a few places, miller waste, inner city, eci and Halifax parts for trucks but haven’t been able to find a good fit, I’m currently working at a small shop in burnside but for someone who travels from Windsor, I’m honestly not making as much as would’ve hoped, so any experienced techs have suggestions? Feel free to leave a comment or dm me, thank you all

Hello I am a 1st year Dal student and am in urgent need of cash. I am willing do do any type of labor or any type of help for money. You can contact me if needed here or at 1 506 588 6421
Hey so I’m on the hunt for a part-time job (desperation level: 1000% 😅). I’ve got retail (Winner/Zara), customer service and restaurant experience aa well. I'm working at Dal as their full-time employee ans I’m just trying to pick up some extra work so I can save up for my master’s program. But man, it’s rough out here—finding a job feels like finding a needle in a haystack… while blindfolded… during a storm. 🥲
If any of you lovely folks have tips or know of places hiring, please help a fellow out! Much appreciated!!
Hey everyone,
I’m currently a student in the Pipe Trades program at NSCC, and I have workplace shadowing coming up. Unfortunately, I’ve been having a really hard time finding an employer who can take me on for a week of shadowing, and it’s starting to stress me out. I’ve reached out to a few companies, but no luck so far.
Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to find an employer for shadowing? Are there any particular approaches that worked for you, or ways I could improve my search? I’m open to any suggestions at this point.

Anyone have experience learning a unionized Admin position with Nova Scotia Health, going to non union position? Only three years with NSH

I'm considering applying for a job with Halifax Transit as I have experience driving large vehicles and need something a bit more stable.
I'm having a hard time finding information about the take home pay. I understand that the starting wage is something like $28/h but I also know there are benefits and union dues and pension.
So if anyone out there works for transit, what is the typical bi-weekly take home?
Hello! I’m wondering if anyone has ideas of cash jobs I can do to supplement my income in Halifax? Ps: I’m a woman (incase that additional information helps) . I would appreciate your responses TIA
Why Nova Scotia is so unwelcoming? Why they hate us, immigrants from any country with exception of some other countries? It's impossible to find a job, impossible to find an apartment or house to live, expensive, and the list goes on... Companies have a terrible customer service, beaches don't have any structure, landlords and construction companies do whatever they want! I lived here for 3 years and I can't stay anymore. Now I understand why everyone leaves...
Hi guys! Any tips on how to get in NSHA as a student Nurse? I’ve applied for many positions but it’s hard to hear back. I’m confused as to why. I thought they needed all the help they can get… If anyone has any tips/suggestions I’d appreciate them all!
I hope you are all doing well. I have an upcoming interview with NSHA for a casual Environmental Service Worker position. Could someone provide insights into the interview process and what kind of questions the hiring manager might ask? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
I have been searching for months and I can’t seem to be successful in securing a pt evening and weekends position. Any suggestions?
I actually live in Alberta but I saw a lot of companies based in Halifax are looking for people remotely anywhere in Canada to work from home. So I’m curious if anyone knows anyplace, I’m really desperate and where I live does not offer a lot of jobs :(
I'm very flexible and looking to get a job when I am off maternity leave.
I've started looking just to familiarize myself with applications.
Currently I have: 3 years work experience Hons BA in Sociology, minors in psych and gerontology
Experience in administrative jobs and community support jobs. I know my degree brings ambiguous jobs as it is not specialized like an engineering or nursing degree so I wanted to hear what you guys think I could apply for here in halifax.
I'm looking for a job that would pay over 55k a year. With good benefits and good work life balance. I currently am not looking for a passion job, just something to make a survivable income. Oh I also have a husband to pool resources with. Overall I'm tenacious and conscientious.
What are your suggestions for jobs to look for?
Are there any science-related jobs in the HRM that someone would recommend, and that are currently hiring? Thanks.
