Hi, are there any groups who organize trips in NS. I’m in Halifax and most of them I found were groups that organize within 50km. I don’t have a car so would love to here of any group with whom I can join to visit places this summer. Thanks in advance!
I am 27, have a 10+ yr clean driving record etc. with TD insurance and find my insurance to be high... going up to ~ $170/month in May. Does the fact I drive/own a 2019 Toyota Corolla make this higher? Not sure what "normal rates" are these days. Thx
If you loose your mac pass are you able to track it through some kind of app? Or do they just cancel that mac pass and get you a new one?

JMS driving academy is a very poorly organized driving school in Dartmouth, NS. Steve (the owner/operator) doesn’t seem to be able to answer any questions definitively. Pay 600$ for the course and you’ll get your first 2 classes then be met with a “idk” when you try to find out when the next two are. They tell you to book your road test and that they’ll get you behind the wheel beforehand. Unfuckinglikely. Anybody else ever get ripped by them?
Ok. I am a newly licensed driver as of this past Thursday. I had insurance within two hours of getting my licence and my husband lovingly gave me the spare key to our suv.
Now the one thing I noticed during my entire driver training period, use of blinkers seem to be optional for a majority of drivers in the city. Granted I have noticed it for the entire 14 years I have lived in HRM but it’s never being a issue because I was never driving. I have decided to buy our suv a dash cam because my insurance doesn’t have accident forgiveness and I want to cover my ass if I am in an accident and it’s not my fault. Any particular brand/model I should be looking at?
Hello fellow Haligonians. Help me with your understanding and/ thoughts on this..
My friend received a ticket ~ violation 16, for parking in cul-de-sac. Many of my neighbor, and friends, park in cul-de-sac, never did I know that this is a violation. When drive way is full, instead of parking in front of a neighbor house, can't we safely park in the cul-de-sac bulb? Can we dispute? What are our options?
Thank you. Have a good day !
So as I was sitting in traffic in Burnside today where Victoria road meets with Windmill (The overpasses/train tracks after the bridge outbound), I was wondering, if you're in the left lane and an emergency vehicle is approaching, there are cars bumper to bumper to the right and in front of you and not much room to maneuver at all, what is the correct response if you're in the left lane?
https://novascotia.ca/sns/rmv/handbook/DH-Chapter2.pdf
Page 45 says to pull to the right or towards the curb. So for left lane drivers, Do we all pull to the right and let him try and squeeze through the left? Or do we pull to the left to let the emergency vehicle through the middle(See here)?
What do you guys think?
