I started studies at Dal this term and applied to opt-in to their health and dental plan over a month ago and paid the opt in deposit fee. However, I haven’t received any confirmation of approval on my opt-in request and therefore still don’t have an active insurance coverage plan. Any ideas how long this process usually takes and who I can contact for this?
Are there any buildings on campus that are open 24/7 where I can go to study while I pull an all nighter?
Hey everyone! I'm considering Dalhousie's Microbiology/Immunology Program and would love to hear your thoughts. How’s the coursework, professors, labs, and research opportunities? Would you recommend it? Thanks!
Hey,
I saw a post regarding this a while ago but have not heard anything since. I would like to create a ratified society so I am looking for potential members and execs to form one. I have a few interested people so far but I think the required amount is 10? People that I can talk about F1 with on campus are scarce to say the least!
I remember like a while back someone was saying they were gonna make one or smth
If anyone lost a pandora charm today in the lsc common area on studley campus I handed it into the Wallace McCain desk staff!
I'm not opposed to it but don't y'all like...
have school tmrw or smth? shouldn't this be a Friday thing?
Hello! I'm applying to Dalhousie's master's SLP and audiology program for the 2026 year. I do not currently attend Dalhousie. I understand the graduate program only looks at the last 60 hours. Does anyone know if a class that has been repeated falls in the last 60 hours, does the new grade or both grades count toward GPA calculations? I saw the undergrad will take the higher grade, but I didn't know if that applied to grad school gpa calculations. Thanks so much!
im in the scie 1111 course and we have the first test tomorrow and im just looking for any last minute recommendations about what to expect on it or if its challenging/hard to get a good grade on
Im a first year medsci student going into their second year this fall, I’m in this program to hit the prereqs for dals pharmacy program in a couple years.
I hate psychology so I didn’t take it this year as the program schedule advises, and instead took an elective and GWST 1015. Now because I didn’t take psychology I gotta figure out two social science courses to take next year as part of my prereqs, any suggestions for what would count?
Looking for something 1000’s level or lighter course load as second year medsci is looking tough
Does anyone have notes from BIOL2020 section 1 with Andrew that you’d be willing to send me? I’ve got all the slides typed out but there’s not a lot of info on them and the lecture recordings sound doesn’t seem to be working. If anyone does I’d greatly appreciate it!
Hey everyone, I made this group to connect with new students in this program. Excited to meet everyone this September!
Hi y'all, I put the wrong OUAC number in, and the Dal team removed it so I can add the right one. They said to naviagate to "update your information here" link on the right hand side of the applicant portal (there is no link there). I am having trouble with finding where to update my OUAC code. Thanks.
Appointment is mid morning before lunch
Since dal cards are essentially useless for anything other than printing, I wanna get my money back
Anyone been accepted to science or med sci or DISP? Post here date and average!
Edit: Ended up staying in and glad I did because I witnessed two cars sliding over the road out my window! Thanks everyone for the advice, definitely best to stay safe and secure than risk it
I'm looking to apply to the BEDs program for architecture and noticed that the science requirements are far more particular than for a BA (which I'm currently completing):
two courses, at 1000-level or higher, in a mathematics or science subject: biology, chemistry, computer science (but not software instruction), engineering, geology, mathematics, physics, or statistics (but not economics, environment, geography, astronomy, management, planning, or psychology; and not history of mathematics)
Does anyone know of any courses that meet these requirements? I'm not sure I meet the pre-requisites for a lot of science courses, but I was just talking to someone who was in the same situation and took a couple courses that I don't think are taught anymore.
Do we think there’s school tomorrow?
We all need it. The 1, 4, and 10 are fucked right now with delays and cancellations galore
im so happy
I rlly don’t want to go 😩 what are the chances it’ll get cancelled today (I have one at 10 and one at 5:30)

I applied for an MA in English and was wondering if anyone heard back yet?
I was told mid-to-late January but still no news.
Hi, I'm a recent undergrad (bba) considering dalhousies corporate residency MBA.
I graduated in June 2024, and I'm thinking of applying for this years summer start.
I've heard mixed opinions on this. Will the MBA be exactly the same as a bba content wise?
The co-op portion is appealing as I was unable to secure an internship during my undergrad. Considering the job market these days, I feel disadvantaged not having corporate experience yet.
I'm Canadian from BC, if that matters.
Not for printing
I was thinking of buying tickets, just wanted to know if other people are going since it will prolly be freezing.
I have to download a lockdown browser for an exam next week. I have heard some people say that they can ruin your computer and to use a different one for your exam if you can. I only have my MacBook which cost me a lot of money and I am really scared of it getting damaged. Anyone have experience with lockdown and mac?
Are the doctors at the dal clinic in lemarchant place able to prescribe antidepressants/antipsychotics without the patient seeing an actual psychiatrist first? This is a dumb question but i know nothing about this stuff, but i need some help before i lose my mind entirely
Hey everybody I’m a PhD student in psychology and applied to be an open thinker anybody know when we get to hear back? Thanks!!
