Had 2 other codes, P0456 and P0440, replaced the esim and the 0456 and 0440 codes went away but the P1059 code is thill there, throwing a check engine light of course so can't use remote start and would like to get it fixed before winter with a little one. So I have P1059- A/C request circuit low. Everything is google keeps saying intake manifold runner control, but the jeep is running fine, not missing or anything. Has anyone experienced this and what needed to be done or what part is it? Thank you in advance!
In timely fashion my water pump on my 5.7 is showing signs of failure exactly after passing the 80,000 mile mark. My tell-tale sign was trying to defrost windows and having nothing but cold air. Thought maybe the car needed to warm up a little more. Got halfway down the highway and noticed still no hot air and my coolant temp was at the halfway mark. Coolant reservoir was bone dry almost. Filled it up drove 20 minutes home and parked it! In the morning I noticed the pulley on the water pump is definitely a little wobbly haha. So with this said does anyone have the mopar part number for the water pump. so I can double check I get the right one. At this many miles (81,000) anything else I should knock out while I’m working under the hood? Thinking of going a head and replacing the thermostat and belt while I’m at it.
Switched to synthetic high mileage penzoil and noticed it started burning oil and it has not stopped for some quite time. Going through a quart every 3500-4000 miles, can I switch back to conventional ? 2014 overland 144k miles
I have a WK2 model and was wondering if anyone has any annoying rattle anywhere and if so how you fixed it
Its 2016 v8 I tired to remote start the vehicle, it tried to start and then shut down and the lights on the dashboard and everything started flashing on and off, sometimes the screen will turn on then show a random error like 4wd needs servicing, brake system unavailable, liftgate…etc and it keeps making a tick sound. I tried disconnecting the battery and left it off for an hour and reconnected it but the same shit, i tried jump starting it with another car but same thing.
Any idea what happened?
Someone here knows where can I buy a new screen for my grand Cherokee 2018 ? Or what can I do? I have a water mark in the screen
What’s the best strut&shock lift out there?
I had to replace the B Pillar on my recently purchased 2021 CPO Grand Cherokee Limited because the top part had a small break. Dealers wanted $205 for the part and 2.5 hrs labor. Took me 30 minutes and cost $120 for the part. worldpartsdirect.com part 57010444AN. This is a factory OEM part.
Steps.
Remove the door side T20 torque screw
Gently loosen the outside window chrome trim using one of the plastic putty knives (just the corner piece by pillar)
Using the 2 putty knives, pry off the old piece starting at the top and sliding the putty knives down to loosen the adhesive.
Remove the old pillar and any adhesive on the door frame (goo gone helps).
Dry fit new piece, then remove tape off new pillar and press into place.
Replace the T20 torque screw, don't overtighten.
Lately, getting into my car I smell antifreeze. I inspected the engine/manifold/hoses, not seeing any leaks. The antifreeze level is not dropping. I got the radiator cap changed a few years ago. Any ideas?
Anybody have this roof rack installed? Looking for some more pictures of what it looks like.
About two weeks ago I posted asking if anyone had tried wk2 wheels on a wj. Well here is the result. They do fit and look really good, especially from behind. Slight rubbing at full lock but that will be fixed with the lift going in this week. I’ll post when finished
I had both bulbs replaced about a year and a half to 2 years ago. Fast forward to a couple months ago and I noticed after flashing my brights to signal someone to come over in my lane my passenger side stopped working. The next day it turned on fine.
Now today I went to an interior cleaning service and noticed when I left that the passenger was out again. When I got in the car once again the brights had been triggered.
Is that a bulb issue or more along a something else issue? I’m hoping they come on tomorrow. 🤞
Would the slightly more worn tires go on the front or the back? Owner says tires only have about 5k miles on them but their does seem to be a discernible difference in tread. Thanks!
Ever since the most recent software update, I have to reset my heads-up layout to my preferences almost every day. Is anyone having this issue or know a solution?
Looking for advice on what to do. Wife has an 18 limited with the delaminating head unit. She is getting increasingly angry with it and i have no idea how to fix the issue. I've seen that it may get covered but I have no idea how to go about doing that. Any help is greatly appreciated.
My grand Cherokee has the rear load leveling shocks. Do I have to replace with those (very expensive for my broke ass) or can I put normal shocks on? 2014 grand Cherokee
Hi. My JGC 2013 radiator gets clogged like once in couple of years. I had a leak in the radiator in June 2023 that I got replaced with a brand new one. On 30 Nov 2024, two days back, I had to get it flushed as the engine was heating up. Would hit 107C wherein the fan would start cooling it down.
This is regular since I bought it from showroom back in March 2013 in September 2022 I had the engine redone due to HEMI tick. The radiator issue has been cropping up every 2 to 3 years.
My trusted mechanic and I can't figure out for the clog. We use original parts and high quality coolant.
Upgraded 2014 JGC Overland radio from RA4 to UAQ. Everything went great but the only issue is that my heated/vented seats along with heated steering wheel is not working. The icons are there but they are grayed out. I am able to activate them (on/off) using Jscan but cannot figure out how to get the icons in the car to do it.
I know infotainment makes an emulator that fixes this but I don't want to support them with how much they upcharge their kits for everyone. I would like to find a way to do this through Jscan if possible.
Thanks for any help
I see that the coolant/antifreeze is reduced. I do not see any trace of leakage. What should I do?
Is this normal? it is 2023 GC L 3.6
Just wanted to see what people are using for trunk storage setups? 2021 WK2. I have several jackets, hats, and gloves for my work that I usually just leave in a pile in my trunk. I’d like to have somewhere to keep them and still have some usable storage area.
I want new shocks for my stock Up Country WJ, but I’m having trouble finding any. Not sure if a standard non-Up Country shock would work better/worse/no difference versus a 1.5” lifted shock. Looking for good street ride quality, I’m not going offroad with the ol’ girl anymore.
I’m in the process of finding this V8, looking for under 60k miles. I’ve researched common problems so I know about most of them but here’s my question.
What can I do to make this thing last forever? I know there’s tons of mods to make them cooler and faster, but I’m only focused on reliability and there’s not much online about it.
I know that my oil and how often I change it makes a huge difference, but if I wanna put a bit extra money into bulletproofing this thing I’m all ears
I’m curious about replacing parts in the drivetrain. I’ve considered doing an upgraded lifter and cam, but I’m keeping the power output the same. Planning on putting an upgraded oil cooler and trans cooler, but lmk what yall think!
