Roboquest is an absolutely phenomenal co-op roguelite. If you're a fan of DOOM Eternal then you'll be right at home here. Plus you can play the entire thing with a friend! Check out my video for more info.
Looking for a co-op partners to play with in "we were here forever " (totally beginner)
A souls-like that leans more towards the Sekiro side of things, but you can play it with 2 other friends all the way through. We had a great time and if you need more convincing check out my video.
Hi there! I'm looking for someone to play It Takes Two with. I have the full game on PS5 and can send you a friend pass so you don't need to buy it- just download. Cross Platform isn't supported. Prefer to have someone with a mic. let's have fun!
My wife and I have a ton of fun when we game together (we play exclusively co-op games), but she’s not really much of a gamer and is pretty particular—it’s very hard to find games that she likes.
Games that she has liked:
Mechanics that she likes:
Things she doesn’t like:
Can you help me find our next game?
I hope it can either be cheap or free if possible!
Hey all.. another 'what should we play' thread. We're a group of 3-4 that consistently play every night, and fairly significantly prefer coop style games over anything else, however we're running out of things to try. I'm aware of a lot of these games, but.. its so hard nowadays to weed out all the generic chinese crap that is flooding Steam (I mean those that are blatantly ripping off other games and are simply someone trying to make a quick buck), and demos arent much of a thing anymore, so we can either read reviews until the end of time, or try to get some assistance in narrowing down our search.
To do this, I've listed below the games we've played in recent times, an estimate of the time spent in them, and our general thoughts about them. Also included are each players preferences. Between them, maybe they'll get us some good suggestions, because the games we've played of late have been rather lackluster.
Player 1: Prefers FPS, hates 3rd person but will begrudingly play it, plays for the challenge, will play just about anything
Player 2: Prefers FPS, just ok with 3rd person, couldnt care less about the story, journey or challenge, just wants to get to the end and look up how to have the best of the best of the best.
Player 3: Fine with most game types, fine with a challenge, likes story.
What we all hate is janky, buggy shit. Also hate pointless grind (grind isnt bad, just so long as its not pointless and overly tedious). By 'challenge', I don't mean a Soulslike, but GTFO/Helldivers 2 are kind of at the limit. L4D, B4B, DRG, etc we all play at max difficulty. I think what we can agree upon is that we prefer coop over vs, but are not opposed to versing people. Would prefer this list to stick to coop though.
Left 4 Dead - (600hrs) - (We played this individually, just pointing out it was major fun for all of us; L4D2 we played some together, B4B was the start of us playing together regularly)
Left 4 Dead 2 - (170hrs) - Not as good as 1. Still fun.
Back 4 Blood - (Hundreds) - This, Borderlands and DRG are probably the games we've enjoyed the most.
Deep Rock Galactic - (700hrs) - Yeah, its fun. A little repetitive after so many hours, but we still go back on updates.
Vampire game whos name I cant remember - (Lol) - Grade SSS shit. Felt robbed.
Satisfactory - (550hrs) - Absolutely fantastic, however too easy, too short. Needed combat and a longer end-game.
Palworld - (350hrs) - What were currently playing. Its basically just a tedious grindfest at the end for no real reward.
Techtonica - (57hrs) - Became unplayable before we could finish. Absolutely awful performance. Other than that, had some mild fun.
Raft - (33hrs) - Was kinda enjoying it, until it just ended when we thought it was about to finally begin.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - (20hrs) - Not sure why, but didn't really appeal to us. Maybe the gameplay was too linear or something. /shrug
Nightingale - (135hrs) - Had high hopes for this one, but it just felt really basic. I know a lot has changed recently; well revisit.
Helldivers 2 - (144hrs) - We liked the idea of this one a lot, but I think it just became a big grindfest, and while we like a challenge, some of the 'challenge' in this game was a little (way) over the top.
GTFO - Perfect challenge, and fun, but could feel rather tedious to make it through levels, and the levels are very long, which makes it difficult to play during our given timeframe (generally 2-3 hours, more on weekends).
Borderlands - Many - Just going to lump everything into one, because there are so many. Love them. Fucking love them. There are some complaints, but we are eagerly awaiting the next one (despite the vault hunters looking boring as fuck).
Thanks.
Me and the missus have been playing Far Cry 5 for around a month now and we are enjoying it immensely. I tried playing it few months earlier alone but this truly shines in coop. This has been like a dream coop game for us as there is like total freedom to do anything. We can simply roam around or liberate outposts or rescue people or do the story missions. The amount of freedom, the continuous surprises in loot/vehicles/weapons is just sheer overwhelming in a good way. And they have truly designed it in a a way that there is a great balance between the random encounters and the story pieces.
Playing coop leads to so many funny (and very occassionally frustrating) situations. We have to sometimes strategize together i.e. one goes in guns blazing, while the other stands guard. Sometimes we have to yell at each other so as the other doesn't fall behind or gets killed. We have killed Jacob and John so far and can't wait to see what happens in Faith's region.
Feels like I won the lottery with a missus who loves playing coop games several hours with me. Plus another lottery on having discovered such an almost perfect coop title to play. Plus I find that when playing coop, you don't worry about perfect FPS, screen resolution, graphical fidelities etc. My wife games on the 85 inch tv while I play on a measly 24 inch 1080p monitor but the fun surpasses it all. Keep playing with your friends and family and keep having fun.
I want to play a good (preferably great) co-op game that matches you with a stranger. Are there any of these games that you can recommend today in 2025? Thanks so much for your suggestions!
Hey there looking for someone to play through gears 5 with. My normal gears partner has been unable to play and it’s the last gears game I need to finish before E Day releases. It’s on gamepass so pretty easy to play if you have it. Crossplay welcomed so Xbox or pc (ps5 soon too lol).
Would prefer to play on the difficulty setting one level above normal but no big deal if you just want to play default. Post here or message my gt: ynotfazio if interested.
Thanks!

My brother has an Xbox One. I have a PS5. We're looking for games that can be played online co op cross play with a story. I think some Borderlands games we can play. Looking for other suggestions. Thanks.
Hey guys,
I have seen an 3d coop game with proximity chat, there was a part where they were some kind of scientists and shrink themselves. I think its a pretty new game but I don't remember the name of it.
Thanks.
me and my buddy always play co op games, we have played games like remnant 2, over cooked, the forest, minecraft, phasmophobia and spleunky, you can see the diversity but these games typically last us only 2 weeks and we get bored so im just wondering if you guys have some fun co op games with a bunch of things to do so we DONT get bored
I have read on co optimus that the new sniper elite game is four player co op. I have not seen any four player footage and I believe it was mentioned it could be just a hoard mode. For me, if the game doesn't have full campaign co op, then it's not a co op game. Can anyone confirm if the campaign is fully four player co op?
28M UK (Psn) Seeing if any players (including pc if crossplay possible) want to start fesh playthrough on the following I'm currently switching between: baldurs gate 3, phasmophobia, the forest, stranded deep, world war z, back 4 blood, dead island 2, starship troopers extermination, helldivers 2, aliens fireteam elite, warhammer darktide
