Hey fellow gamers! For Christmas I can get one game and will probably have time to splurge out a full RPG (hopefully). I love RPGs, I love everything Final Fantasy, I also love everything Disney... and now that these two are on PC I need your advice. Do I get FF16 on Steam or do I get the Kingdom Hearts bundle? Can someone help offer me spoil free advice on pros / cons of each?
In RPGs I'm mainly interested in great story and interesting characters. I mainly play through for the plot and not for challenging difficult grinds or complicated gameplay.
I loved playing this game on my phone years ago, and I just found out it's been re-released! I hear they're also working on a sequel.
I love it when gams let me make my own characters. I like to set them in the world and create head cannons as a way to exercise my creativity. However, I haven't found a game that has really scratch the itch. The only one that has come close was a shitty MMO called KurtzPel but it was ruined by the devs and playerbase. I have played Eder scrolls and cyber punk and baldurs gate and none of those really get it. I want sliders and LOTS of them. I don't like just basic face options because its not personal enough. Maybe I am dreaming but here is hoping any of you guys know of at least one. Also no adult games.
Edit: Let me clarify that i do like the games mentioned I just don't like the character creation. Baldurs gate was especially disappointing for being a game based on a game about creation a very personal character. Good game though. I've had several runs.
Do you guys have fun playing older games? I mean games from the 6th generation backwards, games released 20, 30 or even 40 years ago. I want to know if the outdated mechanics and gameplay of some old games can still attract younger people too play them or they're enjoyable only for us who grew up with them.
I've been playing Oregon Trail, it's fun, but limited. There's gotta be a way more in depth, similar style game out there right?
I just bought a new ps5!! What are the best games to play on it?
Ah POE2 is set to release a few days from now. First off, my question is how do I manage my time playing and my commitment to wife’s needs for affection time and love? Next question is how do I fake my death so I can play non stop without having to explain to her that I cannot be bothered, not even if she’s having a heart attack?
Any advice would be appreciated.
It was had a beta test phase 10-14 days ago. Probably on steam. And some people talked about it. But can’t find anything about it now.
Littlebigplanet for ps3 forced my hand. How about you?
Just the other day, I made a post about how it's hard to find arena shooters with active online multiplayer servers. I was playing Unreal Tournament 3 a lot, but it no longer has any available online multiplayer servers, as Epic dropped online support for that game (as well as Unreal Tournament 2004). Yesterday though, I remembered that the original Unreal Tournament from 1999 still has some active multiplayer servers, so I gave it a try, and what do you know, I was able to connect online with it and found multiple servers, some which were active with other players.
The original Unreal Tournament is a fun game, so maybe I'll play that now for online multiplayer. I'm curious why the online support for later Unreal Tournament games was removed when the original Unreal Tournament still has active online servers?
Also, I think it's cool that the original Unreal Tournament (a game from 1999, which I originally played on Windows 98) still runs without a problem on modern PCs (I have it on my current PC, which has Windows 11 and an Intel i9-9900k and an Nvidia 3080 TI). I have the Game Of The Year edition from Steam though, so I think it was pre-packaged to work on modern PCs. It also seems to be the 3DFX version; and I remember seeing a 3DFX Glide wrapper DLL years ago, which this version of UT99 must be using in order to work with modern graphics cards.
Not normally a Arcade\car game guy, but having fun!
Anything i should do off the bat?
Anything to focus on first to make the rest easier ?

Any other tips?=
Which one should I buy. I like both but which one to go first. Suggestions thank you
I'm writing a video of large objects in games. For example, I have Sovereign being on top of your play area in ME1, the space elevator in Satisfactory making it's initial connection and the final boss fight of Horizon FB's dlc.
Do y'all have any favorite moments or set pieces with super large objects? (relative to the scope of the play area)
I don't really want things from something like Stellaris because although yes everything is "big" in the scope of the game everything is pretty small, if that makes any sense.
I finally 100% these games which I have cherished memories with. It only took me a few days, but I tried my best not to look up any videos and go purely from memory. I did have to look up a few vids for some pesky gem, dragon egg, and miscellaneous collectible placements in Spyro3, but I had a lot of fun going through this nostalgia ride. I also went ahead and did every achievement as well as every skill point on Xbox to polish off those 100%s.
As someone who is new to pc gaming and steam, i have an empty library and i want to build a pretty nice one with memorable games and with the autumn sale being here i wanna ask u guys for some suggestions for games to buy. Something to keep in mind is that i cant recall the last time i beat a game lol so any suggestions are fine
1)Storyline may have a girl cheating on protagonist or protagonist cheating on her. (NTR) (optional but remember to tell me that this is not included in your recommended game)
Preference (optional)
Horror + Some choices + (anime or any other cute character model) + relationship drama + crime
Reference of a game that i liked : being a dik
Bonus points if they have a Middle-Eastern/Ancient Egypt theme.
Hey! Remember old school TD's, like the starcraft and w3 UMS games where you had to build your own maze from the waves of mobs? Me too! Are there any games like that out there now ? I'd love to relive my past and build some mazes! Thanks yall.
Succulent Bulbasaur in the background for vibes
Inspired by this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/s/xgimO2Gq7x ) but most of the answers were about visual design and not mechanics, while the OP’s question and description allowed for both answers.
I’m asking about best non-boss mechanics.
