Looking for games with optional NSFW scenes and situations. As in.. One could play the whole thing and NSFW stuff wouldn't happen unless the player looks for it.

And yes, I just don't mean nudity.

Xbox games with the best forests/foliage?

I love wandering through massive forests in games but sometimes they aren’t the best looking or are only short scenes throughout the whole game. Dayz and kingdom come had amazing forests but also aren’t the entire game which is fine with me. Any genre would be good.

Looking for a mindless (but good) Switch game?

Basically, when I'm too braindead to do anything else at the end of a workday, I watch TV. But I need to give my hands something to do, or else I'll snack instead.

Stardew Valley was a great minimal-thinking task to give my hands while I watched TV. Now I'm looking for a new Switch game to do the same thing, but preferably not something TOO similar to Stardew (I'm a bit bored of the premise, now).

No platformers either, please! I never enjoy them, for some reason.

Cheaper games are a good idea too, since I abandon games pretty easily. So Animal Crossing is a no-go ($$$).

Help me decide which one I should play first, Alan Wake or the F.E.A.R trilogy

Hey all, was just looking to get some opinions on both of these games as I have quite the limited time right now and would like to know which one y'all preferred. I do own both so I will play all of them, but I wanted to know which one I should play first.

Games that feel like like Bloodborne?

No, I don't only mean souls-like, games that feel eerie, haunting in that way. Lies Of P is somewhat close. Blasphemous and Some Castlevania games as well.

Looking for games that has big mods or a fan-remake that changes the game! NB: plz don't mention any very famous games like skyrim, fallout, mount & blade, gta, valve games, Arma games etc. You may consider these games as hidden or gems.

  • Star Wars: empire at war has big mods.

-Mechwarrior 4 has a hd repack by Mercs MekTek

-Freespace 2 open source has a Mediavps mod that upgrades the game and other big mods that expand the game.

-Men of war assault squad 2 and Company of heroes has big mods.

-Sins of a solar empire rebellion and homeworld remastered has big mods.

-Dawn of war 1 has big mods like Unification and Ultimate apocalypse.

-X3: Terran Conflict & AP has big mods like Star wars LU mod.

-Command & conquer generals zero hour and Red alert 3 has big mods too.

-Battle for Middle-earth 2 has big mods.

-Medieval 2 total war kingdoms has big mods.

-Battlefiled 2 has a project called project reality.

-Freelancer game has a HD mods and other mods too, and there's a fan-remake of it on a website called freelancer2.space but it's still in development.

-0 A.D. Empires Ascendant is a free game similar to age of empires.

-Archolos total conversion for gothic 2.

There are others, but I can't think of right now. So if you have any, plz do recommend me.

Games like Frostpunk but for the switch

I’m personally a total sucker for management sims/base building type games lately. Frostpunk happened to scratch that itch I’ve been looking for in a game. However since work picked back up for me I tend to find myself going for my switch more often than I do my pc. It’s just easier to grab and play from my bed after working outside all day. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find it out anything similar on the switch.

What draws me into Frostpunk is that it’s me against the harsh environment trying to fend for as long as I could. I wasn’t going up against enemies, it was me and my ability to make the right choice so I could progress on and grow my little village. Other sims I’ve found have me fighting waves of enemies to progress or defend myself or are so simplistic that there’s so fear of messing something up that could set me back.

I guess I’m just looking for something with no enemies that could still fuck my shit up if I’m not careful enough haha. Besides Frostpunk I’ve played the following: •Rimworld •Civ 6 •Stardew Valley •Graveyard Keeper •Factorio (with and without bitters) •Satisfactory •Dorfromantik •The Sims

I’m really just looking for any games where I can dump a bunch of hours into it growing and managing a settlement of sorts where the environment is my main concern rather than a physical enemy. Something long lasting without an actual defined end of possible. Thank you in advance if you know of anything! I’m sorry this is so specific, anything close to this would be amazing!

I’m looking for the Switch specifically

I need games that are open-world, RPG-like, not top-down (preferably close 3rd or 1st person, an acceptable story, and great character progression.

So I have been having the WORST time of my life looking for games like Breath of the Wild but with character creation and skill tree progression. Like those Minecraft RPG modpacks but... not Minecraft as that gets old quickly. Graphics can be kinda outdated, but I want it to look at least nice.

I've seen Path of Exile and as I've said, I don't want a top-down game like that. Baldur's Gate 3 looked good but I just can't get into the combat. I want something that feels semi-realistic in the sense that I'm actually fighting something with a brain and not just some random ass entity.

If you guys have anything, don't hesitate as I have thought of selling my PC because games are SO DAMN DRY. I haven't been able to get into anything. I am willing to spend like 100 bucks on a game that is worth that much.

Edit: Formatting :/

Gamers with OCD: what do you play?

(this is a question for people with OCD, not just like "I like things to be organized/in order." they are different)

I love video games, but often struggle with my perfectionism and OCD taking over when there are too many options and I feel like I'm doing things the "wrong way." This makes it hard to enjoy games I otherwise love, like Skyrim, where I always feel like a different playstyle would be better. No Man's Sky has become a nightmare because there are literally infinite places to build a base.

On the other hand, some games are contained enough for me to feel like I'm doing things right while still exploring and being creative, like base building in Subnautica.

What games do you enjoy that actually work for you with OCD?

RPG recommendations like Hogwarts legacy or Skyrim.

I’m looking for a PS5 RPG that lets you level up, grind, and get really powerful so you can tackle the main story with ease. Ideally, I’d love something with a bright, vibrant world rather than a dark or spooky atmosphere. Not a fan of turn-based combat—prefer real-time action. Anything released in the last 5 years would be great! Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Recommend me please a strategy game where the world is out to get me

It can be a RPG, or a Tycoon, or a strategy game. Something with some kind of management of something, where you can get creative with your options. I want a hard game that is out to get me, where I start from nothing and take my (enemies, business rivals, etc.) down after a long and hard fought war/competition. AI opponents please, I feel bad crushing real people.

Some games that have appeased that itch somewhat are:

RimWorld
Dwarf Fortress
Capitalism Lab
Europa Universalis (and paradox games)
Gear city
Vagrus
Battle Brothers
AI WAR
Kenshi
Frostpunk 1/2
Civilization Games
Wartales

My absolute favorite part, which many of these games do, is feeling you are in a inferior position, and then clutching it up.

Looking for games about magic/being a wizard

Basically any game where you play as a mage or wizard character and primarily use and learn magic. RPGs with multiple classes are fine, but I prefer games where using magic is the main focus. Not particularly picky about genre, just no multiplayer and no Hogwarts Legacy

Good mobile gacha games

I'm looking for good gacha games for android. I don't want games that are overly monetized, something like ZZZ, Touhou: Lost world. Preferably not taking up too much storage, but I am open to suggestions either way.

Games about state-building/institutions

I've long played Grand Strategy games - specifically, Crusader Kings and Stellaris. What always fascinated me about these games was the idea of building up a nation or empire.

However, those games I mentioned are surprisingly shallow on the institution-building side - by that I mean a deeper sense of customizing and making your internal governance come alive.

Stellaris comes close to my ideal, but falls short due to the lackluster internal governance and traditions which are basically objective meta choices to make numbers go up. CK3 has good character-based gameplay, but falls very short on government matters. The governments types are few and very similar to each other. Once again stuff is mostly about making numbers go up.

It's a bit hard to explain what I want exactly so I'll give some examples:

  • CK3 has Struggles, a mechanic that represents long-term conflicts. Instead of pressing a button to advance a Struggle, its branching phases evolve according to the actions of those involved in the Struggle (so, for example, if an involved character conquers another, that pushes the Struggle towards militarization). I would like for my idea of government building to be like that: instead of pressing a button to found a Republic, for example, such a Republic would arise somewhat naturally from reducing the powers to the monarchy or something to that effect;
  • Another example is Spore. Although it was a somewhat simplified system, I always found it cool that your behavior and gameplay choices (and not simply pressing a Decision button) would influence your species' and civilization's path and archetype. So, for example, if you were a peaceful herbivore in the Creature stage, upon evolving to the Tribal stage you would get a Fireworks ability to improve relations with other Tribes.

Games I haven't played, but look promising:

  • Age of Wonders 4: seems to have pretty interesting and wide customization, but I don't know if it's really what I want;
  • Millennia: the idea of alternate ages is fascinating;
  • Distant Worlds 2: the idea of automation sounds promising but I can't find a lot of info on the game.

I'm willing to any accept any kind of suggestion: turn-based or real-time, historical, fantasy or sci-fi, even city builders if there's still a sense of interacting with the outside world and having an impact on it. I don't much care about graphics, even text-based games could fit. Upcoming games and heavily modded game suggestions are also welcome.

Recomend me: a game where every skill is unlocked by default and you have to learn how to get better yourself

Looking to sink 1000s of hours throughout multiple playthroughs. Something that plays like Minecraft (with the skills system deal in da title and how you don't really unlock things you just get better at them), with the combat of a souls like (extension of the skills deal), the quest and gear of Skyrim and the farm ability of borderlands 2.

Sounds impossible without mods but let's find out 🤙

(Edit: the games and their mechanics mentioned above are preferences, not requirements. Feel free to post if it feels like it fits the title!)

Looking for fanservice games.

Hi all, I am looking for games that contain fanservice, are more visually explicit (even H games) or have very hot characters etc. As far as genres go I preffer 2d platformers, Metroidvanias, Action RPGs, RogueLites and Fps games (but I also wouldn't mind other genres if the game itself is good).

I am however not looking for Visual novels, Point and Click dventures, Simulation, Racing, Turn based RPGs, Gacha or Sports games. I am also aware that you can turn most games into fanservice/explicit games with NexusMods (and alike), but I am looking for something that has those element straight out of the box. Also I would very much like that the gameplay of any games mentioned is solid as I want to play a good game at the end of the day.

Many thanks in advance to anyone providing any recommendations, and a nice day to anyone reading this post :D.

Economy game like X4 Foundations but toned down

I love how you can have passive income while also actively being in the world of X4 but i I don’t have the time to sink into an X4 play through right now. Is there similar games but with a smaller world, something like fallout 4 or Skyrim ish where you can send people to mine or loot while you could also do that yourself to boost production or just go off exploring while your passively making money and growing your “business”?

Looking for co-op shooter games with a commander role ot "TOC"

Im looking to play some games with my friends and while i enjoy shooting myself i want to try the commander role and advise the operators. Maybe the dude at the "TOC" has ISR or other means of surveillance. It might sound boring but i think this would be great to try out.
