We will be doing a Cuphead Co-Op Race with 4 Teams of 2 Players @ our beloved Offline Gaming Community Core Gamer Treff in Germany Moenchengladbach tomorrow on 02/01/25 at 6PM CET.
All 8 participants will be split into two Tiers: Tier A has played through the whole game at least once before Tier B consists of new players who have not even finished the game yet. Each team will consist of 1 Random Player of Tier A and Tier B.
We are not Speedrunners at all but just passionate gamers who enjoy Cuphead for what it is and specifically the Co Op Mode of the game with its revive mechanic.
Whoever finishes the main game first without DLC (killing the Devil) wins the game!
We will be playing on the Nintendo Switch Version and all 4 Consoles will be connected via HDMI to a Live Stream Production Setup with a commentator streaming on https://twitch.tv/coregamertreff
Here is more information about Core Gamer Treff
If you are from Germany come along one day and play some games with us

And thank you 🤍
I'm thinking of creating a retro-style local co-op 2D game, something that brings back the feeling of sitting in front of the TV with friends to play. What kind of mechanics or features would you love to see in a game like this?
PS: I’m not sure if I can post this kind of question here, I’m not too familiar with how things work around here."
I am looking into a building a new htpc pc and ditching Playstation in the living room for us to have friends over for game night. This would be 6-8 players each with their own controller on 1 tv. I did some Google searching but nothing but Jackbox seemed to pop up. What games fit the bill and are fun and engaging? I should note the majority of our friends don't play or enjoy games that utilize opinion or judgement to determine the winner. TIA.
Title. I'm trying to find some Switch and PC games that can support large numbers of players that are good for a casual LAN party. Here are some examples that we may play:
- Mario Kart 8
- Smash Ultimate
- Pico Park 1 and 2
- Unspottable
- Jackbox
- Mario party (not 8 players but still great for this)
Heres some im considering:
- Shipped
- Super Mario Strikers
- Super Bomberman R and R2
- Splody
- Runbow
- Clusterpuck
- Duck game
- Regular human basketball
- Plunder panic
- Knight squad 2
I'm looking for people to recommend games that they can vouch for being good for this, and others not on this list that I should consider! Thank you. I am envisioning that we all get some mario kart games in then split up into groups to play different games, but I was thinking that it could be a lot of fun to have 1 setup where we have as many people as possible playing a game, or like 2 setups playing pico park, etc.
Hi (F19) I just want someone to play like Mobil games with I like playing BTD or btd2 on my breaks at work it doesn’t have to necessarily be those two games I’m open to trying new games :)
Hey I am looking for recommendations for a game to play. I often go over to my dads and play games on his X1 with him and we generally prefer shooter games. I was wondering if there were any similar games that are generally on the co-op campaign side rather than competitive.
some of the things weve played recently are,
Gears of war
borderlands
COD WW1 and Black ops 3
Charlie murder
most of the other CODS in local multiplayer and zombies
I see lots of cute comfy casual couch multiplayers that have short to medium length stories. But I haven't seen any recommended that are turn based.
Yes I know BG3 can be pretty chill if you lower the difficulty, and that it has plenty of fun character movements and great story, but it's still a very long story. The same also holds for DOS 1 and 2. These are three of my favorite games ever, but I would love something that's pitched at a similar level to, say, Cat Quest 2 but is turn based instead of real time.
Thanks for any recs!
Just a heads up to people that have played the previous games
We very much so enjoyed Broforce. The humor was great. It is nice playing truly co-op; no score of who is better, etc. Castle Crashers was fun, too. I suppose between split and shared screen, we would prefer shared.
I do not like games that feel like "work"; examples are Runescape, Overcooked, some of Stardew Valley.
We enjoy a challenge, but nothing with extreme controls such as Monster Hunter World requiring two face buttons pressed at once to do specific attacks.
I prefer simple graphics and old school games. He likes first person shooter graphics. So, we are open to a large variety.
Some humor is a bonus.
Our game Sol Mates is up to 4 players local (or online) and you work together to manage stations on your ship while fighting space pirates and taking on odd jobs like pizza deliveries or finding a lost pet. Coming out of the pandemic we were craving more couch co-op games to play with our friends and so we're making our own to do just that. We just added this hull breech animation which we think is looking really fun. If a hole opens on your ship you could fall in and get sucked out into space lol
