I've seen comments about there being a longer story plan before it got cancelled. I'm doing a rewatch and there is clearly new scenes with young Tandy and Ty in season 2. Did they film more with them to lock in their ages since kids grow so much from year to year?
i'm genuinely surprised, like most shows when they try to integrate multiple belief systems in a plotline it just becomes a convulated mess or end up disrespecting one or the other.
however, this show seems to respect the difference in beliefs and they blend seamlessly with the plot that they don't feel like being pushed down our throats. instead, they feel educational.
not to mention the de-demonization of voudoo as a practice which is SO rare to see in modern shows. this show humanizes practicers (regardless of their religion) and i think it's genuinely one of the strongest aspect of the show because of just how respectful & tolerant it is.
I know this edit is Fan Made but this would of been awesome if we gotten to see Characters of Defenders, Agent of Shield, Ghost Rider, Punisher, Cloak & Dagger and The Runaways in the endgame portal scene I would lost it if that happened hopefully we get them in Secret Wars.
Such an awesome scene. She went through that place like a wrecking ball. And the best part was Tyrone showing up the same time to try to save her. Not that she needed it. Loved their reunion.
What's everyone's thoughts on Cloak and Dagger Season 2???
so recommend me some won't ya💅
I don’t understand what happens when she takes someone’s hopes is the person now hopeless? If that’s the case and I know it’s a bit dark why aren’t people killings themselves if they’ve lost all hope? Is she only taking their greatest hope and leaving the rest? What happens to her when she takes the hopes what does she feel?
Would anyone happen to know if the figures from towards the end of season one might be available for sale anywhere? Or does anyone here have 3D printing capabilities to then sell this?
In season 1, one of the major plot points was the divine pairing. I mean almost every episode had Anti narrate a divine pairing history while it played out infront of us.
It was made out to be this very big deal and one of us has to die etc, but then in the end the power of friendship or whatever stopped that from happening.
I think part of it is because TnT did not find out up until the last episode or two so that "burden" and wondering about their fate was not heavily on them and in their thoughts. Another part of it was, I mean...they are the main characters and it is season 1...do we genuinely believe that one of them just has to die?
What do you guys think?
(side note: kinda sad that in s2 Ty's gf had to marry legba to save Tyrone.. I mean if she had waited juuustt a few mins longer... I mean it looked like Tandy was getting to him)
i'm planning on making a "marvel's cloak and dagger but tandy stole the context" video so if you feel like contributing please comment below some quotes/moments that you find amusing :D while this show is pretty grim in the subject they deal with i found that there are quite a lot of scenes that made me chuckle
ps: am on my 4th rewatch, how's everybody doing?
Cloak and dagger is my 2 or 3rd favorite marvel show and it drives me insane that it ended the way it did and didn't get renewed. Has there been any rumors or hope that they will return?( preferably with aubrey johnson and Olivia holt)
I notice that Aubrey (cloaks actor) loves to put things like voice notes/voicemails and other stuff through his songs sometimes. Mostly at the end. It’s usually people that are hyping him up like a friend/family or in this instance I’m about to use, what seems to be an interviewer segwaying into his introduction onto whatever show or whatever they were going to do this interview on. I thought it was cool that he included someone mentioning that cloak and dagger was claimed to be superhero show of the summer back when it was on by critics, cause while yes he wants to share his achievements in life, it also is just nice to hear it being mentioned, especially in his brand new album after the show being canceled so long ago. To me it displays that he still cares about it (but also how couldn’t he). This is also my way of saying to go listen to his new album called Welcome Back. His name is Aubrey Omari for those who didn’t know. You can hear this part I’m mentioning at 3 minutes and 48 seconds into the song also titled “Welcome Back”. Probably my second favorite on the album. 24: a letter to Breeze is definitely one of a kind.
In season 3 episode 8 of the Runaways the duo do a cameo and I do not like the fade or whatever Aubrey is sporting. Tbh my favourite haircut of his, was what he had in Season 1. I dunno if he maybe had an akward haircut between season 2 of CnD and ep 8 of the Runaways so the stylists try to make do or they simply didn't care so much since it was a cameo. Anyways...
Side note: he totally put on some muscle between season 1 and season 2 of Cloak and Dagger and he had a bit of a baby face in season 1, it might not be prominent but it's there. Just part of working out and growing up lol and here I am...

So I was just reading the TV tropes website for Cloak & Dagger & it turns out that in the trailers Aubrey & Olivia's characters were played of to be this romantic couple. I never watched the trailers cause I binged watched the series. (and apparently it was put in the romantic genre too?)
Personally I like their platonic life partner relationship thing they had going on. However I'm not against them being a romantic couple, but I just prefer the platonic dynamic duo thing they'ce got. Since, the show is canceled, I'd like to know how it was in the comics. From the little I've read about the comics, they weren't a romantic couple but might have been very close to being so. Plus with the way they pop up in other heroes comics you never really see them on their own to fully determine their relationship???
They even make it a whole thing in season 2 when Tandy & Ty are kinda facing their fears?? from Dre I honestly still don't get why they used Tandy's dad for that episode.
Because how does Tandy have all these fond memories of her dad, who died when she was like 6/7? & it just changes all of a sudden because of what she saw in her mom's head? I mean majority of Tandy's storyline in season 1 was clearing her dad's name from the Roxxon issue.
I'm currently rewatching parts of the series. I honestly liked the series. I particularly like how they learn to depend on each other & learn not to leave the other behind. Olivia & Aubrey's chemistry was great. (I mean I even watched S3 of the Runaways, a show I'm not following, just to see them cameo in one episode) Since our dear producers have canceled yet another show, I just want to watch a series similar to that dynamic. It would be great if the characters had opposite powers (like they do in C& D) but yet have to be in tandem for their powers to "make sense" or "work". And just have that duo dynamic. If they don't have powers too that's fine. Also be of the opposite sex like in C&D.
PS: glad they at least didn't end the show on a "cliffhanger" and tied up all ends that needed to be tied up. That's the most you can hope for from a canceled show.
Noticed something quite funny in Season 1 Episode 3. Detective O'Reilly goes to speak with Rick while he's in the hospital... Anyone else notice the heart monitor??... I mean.... Dude is at first resting comfortably (but the heart monitor is legit in the 120's). I could see it being that high when she starts to question him about his pants... Showing that she knows something's up.... But a resting heart rate in the 120's is NOT normal for a dude his age.
I know it's a small thing, but having worked in the medical field, it's a little annoying when they don't pay attention to things like that.
in your opinion, which character do you think could have been better written and executed?
for me, while i love how these characters are written, especially complex character like tandy, i do wish they flesh out her relationship with her mother more ;;
i know it's like a really important plotpoint for her to be like her aunt, but i feel SO bad for her :( all she wanted was to be a doctor. i hope evita knows she's able to help people regardless of her job, afterall she was the one who saved tyrone and tandy.
as for the marriage part, it hurts so bad because she was basically forced to do that :( she must've loved tyrone a lot, if there was season 3 i'm sure they would've explored with how she coped with being lonely in the human world
it's just THAT good, to emphasize i'm not on my 4th rewatch since i first watched it a couple years ago. the themes explored in this, the way the storylines slowly unfold and executed- there's this rhythm to it that i fail to find in another show. i absolutely will forever be in love with the protagonists' dynamics, as well as the side characters, particularly evita and brigid/mayhem. everyone is so flawed yet loveable.
