    Why so much hate?

Just started watching, and I actually find it pretty good. I hear some people complain about the CGI and the dialogue is a little clunky, but the action is descent. I'm finally watching it because Black Bolt returned in Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness. I actually kinda hope Kevin Feige gives it another chance with a reboot soon

    Inhumans Season 1

I just finished binge watching Marvel's Inhumans Season 1. I know it got a lot of bad reviews and most just hated it. Even myself couldn't even finish watching the first episode on it's first night. With that being said, I was never big on the Inhumans comic books and certainly didn't know much about the characters other than Black Bolt, Medusa and LockJaw and my knowledge of them was through a friend who like reading their stories. I did enjoy Season 1 and I know all other seasons were cancelled within 24 hrs of the first episode so there's no chance of more season. The story itself was very Shakespearean, a tale as old as time itself which has often been used in many books, many movies or series and usually well received. I know I'm not well versed on the Inhumans and certainly wouldn't be aware of any changes of characters or parts of the story. I found the movie harder to watch and again I'm not aware of what they got wrong. Was it the acting? The script? The actors? I thought Anson Mount did a good job considering he didn't speak, not so easy to do. I certainly did enjoy this more than I did both Iron Fists on Netflix, that was a bad combination on many fronts; script, actors, acting, and no working knowledge of the main Character. Many writers, producers and directors have butchered Marvel Characters, Sang-Chi was the worst. Real-action Comic book Characters need to be more for Comic book fans. A good movie will bring people in, lots of movies I didn't get to see in theatres as a kid in the 70's because of an R or AA rating. I didn't suffer any long term problems because of it. little did we know that VHS was right around the corner. That was my rant and rave.

    Inhumans/Moon Knight Connection

After rewatching Moon Knight on Disney+, and seeing Black Bolt in Multiverse of Madness, I have to wonder what the Inhumans think of Khonshu. Since he is the god of the moon - among justice, vengeance and other things - and the Inhumans live on the moon, is there any connection or relationship between the two? Or have there been any conversations in comics or other media where they've discussed the topic?

Does a rip of the IMAX Premiere version exist?

The IMAX Theatrical release of the first two episodes was edited differently, with different shots and expanded score, than the ones we have from D+ and whatnot. Does the 75 minute IMAX cut exist anywhere online, even as a crappy CAMRIP?

Working on my Inhumans fanedit and found out about this, might want to see if there's some shots I like better in that cut for it.

OK, so AoS Season 6 isn’t the worst season of Marvel TV I’ve ever seen…

…but that’s only because I just got done watching Inhumans. The rumors are true, it’s unbelievably bad.

Like, some good things here and there, the actors are OK, Iwan Rheon is doing his best, what little we got of Lockjaw was fun…. But man, does this show suffer from a terrible case of “we have no budget for this type of material so everything will happen in the forest and the main characters will never wear their superhero outfits and will barely use their powers”.

Everyone was well cast, though. And Anson Mount coming back in Multiverse of Madness gives me hope for an eventual Inhumans MCU reboot with the same cast.

Just watched Inhumans for the first time…

I’m going to be honest, I’m a huge MCU fan, and I had heard on the forums over and over again how terrible the show is. But then I learned Anson Mount is the lead when perusing his IMDB page. So I thought I’d give it a go. I think the supporting characters are all wonderful. And overall the show is decent. But there isn’t enough interaction between Black Bolt and Maximus (there must have been a way to write that story) because their heart to heart in the final episode was a highlight of the series! And I’ve loved Iwan Rheon ever since I watched his masterful performance in GOT, however his takeover of Attilan took an inordinate amount of time and just dragged the series down. I didn’t know where else to share my thoughts, and perhaps I am talking into the void, but I see late bingers share their thoughts for the purpose of discussion in other subreddits and I’d love to hear others’ thoughts.

    Black Bolt Powers

So I watched Multiverse of Madness a week ago and granted, I didn’t really know much about the Illuminati and who they were, so Black Bolt’s powers really interested me, with the way how he could literally say a whisper and the whole town could be destroyed in shreds. So I was wondering like cuz my brain has been thinking about this for a few days. Like if this man can whisper and practically destroy like so much, like how does he even cough or anything? Like if he gets sick or burps, like what happens? Idek if he does. And I know he uses sign language to communicate, specifically his own brand, but like, this man really can’t make a sound or anything and it’s just confusing to me?? Like not even sneezing or what.

[MINOR DOCTOR STRANGE 2 SPOILER] Pretty cool detail!

DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS SPOILER BELOW!

I just saw the movie and I wanted to share this with you because I'm so hyped!! I'll keep it contained to one detail.

!As rumored, Anson Mount showed up as Black Bolt! I think it's awesome that Marvel Studios respects the creations that came before and doesn't recast actors from Marvel Television. Feel free to discuss Black Bolt's appearance in this thread, just make sure to use spoiler tags!!<

Isaac "Ike" Perlmutter did not create the Inhumans Kirby and lee did in 1960s...

Kevin feige would not shit on Kirby and lees memmory over Ike Perlmutter...

    That Would Be Inhuman!

Jack’s Inhumans pretty much seemed to be one of his evolving creations. It began with one character, Medusa, eventually segueing into the Inhumans about a year later, finally leading to their origins about two years later. Although Jack did give a brief one page semi-origin in FF #46’s “Those Who Would Destroy Us!”, he would eventually expand on this to give a more detailed origin after the creation of one of his other races—the Kree—connecting the two races through story. Jack introduced his take on the Inhumans in the back-up story section of Thor (although there’s evidence to suggest that Jack originally did one long story for the first issue of a proposed 1960s Inhumans comic, and when it was shelved, the story was split up to make these Thor back-ups). The story printed here was originally published in Thor #147 and is part of Jack’s multi-part Inhumans origin story.

    https://kirbymuseum.org/blogs/effect/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2012/06/FantasticFour46_p181.jpg

“Those Who Would Destroy Us!”, page 18,
first publication, Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four 46, January 1966

as his margin notes bear out, Jack intended for the Inhumans to be already fully aware of their origins. They know that they are advanced humans, descended from the Kree (through technology). They knew what the Sentry was and have dealt with it before. The Kree experiment that changed humans began to go awry when the advanced race separated themselves, rather than develop along with the non-advanced races. They also began conducting dangerous, forbidden experiments. This brings the Sentry, who comes to warn them of the risk and danger, and attempts to halt it, but he arrives too late. Upon this realization, the Sentry warns them that they will be shunned by their fellow man; in essence they are no longer human but have made themselves In-human. As far as the Sentry is concerned, this was a failed Kree experiment.

Lee, for whatever reason, changes the basics of the story. The Sentry is unknown to the Inhumans; it is he who informs them of their link to the Kree for the first time. It was the Kree who separated the race from the other races. The Sentry is there to observe for the Kree. He witnesses the results of the advanced race’s experiments and is pleased; dubbing them Inhumans, he considers the Kree experiment to be successful.

Thus for the sake of drama (or vanity?), Lee turns a tale of foreboding into a success for the greater glory of the advancement of mankind. Where Kirby’s Sentry warns, Lee’s encourages—two takes on one story. Was it that important to change the meaning of Jack’s story simply for the sake of optimistic drama? You be the judge. If anything, it clearly shows two people “collaborating” in different directions!
