Who knew a dance-off could settle scores? 🕺🏼🕺
Check out these two Great Slaty Woodpeckers (Mulleripicus pulverulentus) in a territorial display dance-off! A peaceful (and stylish) way to resolve their differences—humans could definitely take notes! 😬

I spotted this beautiful birds in the Coronado Tidelands PK near San Diego. I was absolutely fascinated by the iridescent colors.
Even though it's an older photo, I still want to share it with you. I spotted this beautiful bird of prey in the Myakka River State Park in Florida two years ago.
Even though it is one of the most common breeding birds in Switzerland, I am always happy when I can photograph one of these beautiful birds. That’s why I’d like to share this photo from today’s walk through a forest with you.
I went on the short hike to the Hawkings Point Lookout on Magnetic Island, QLD. On the way back I heard something rustling in the bushes and a short time later I discovered this cute rock wallaby. I took a few photos very carefully so as not to scare it away. As quickly as it jumped on to the rock, it disappeared back into the forest. Even though it may be something everyday for the locals, for me as a tourist it was an unforgettable experience. 😊 I especially liked that I was able to see it in its natural habitat; it was not attracted by food from tourists like the rock wallabies at the old ferry dock near Arcadia.
These saltwater crocodiles are the largest living reptiles and males can grow up to a weight of 1,000–1,500 kg (2,200–3,300 lb) and a length of 6 m (20 ft). Unfortunately, we didn't see any fully grown ones on a boat tour on Copper Creek in the Daintree National Park. Instead, we spotted this young one in the water. 😊
This is probably one of the most common bird at home. Nevertheless, it is not so easy to take a picture of them as they are hardly never sit still for a longer time…
Close to peak fatness before hibernation. Eating in a blueberry field as fall is setting in.
