Some of my friends and I are thinking about going to downtown Fort Myers on New Year's Eve because we've heard it's a good time. I was wondering if anyone who's done it before has any advice for going about it? Thank you in advance!
Hello, my wife and I married in September, we decided to honeymoon near Fort Myers Beach as it was a frequent vacation spot for us while we were dating, before my family's condo washed away with Hurricane Ian. We decided to wait until the threat of hurricanes was over, and we'll be staying in Bonita Springs the 3rd week of January, the first 2 days we will spend in Orlando, and the final 3 days we will be in bonita springs. I'm worrying as I see the air and water is usually cold at that time of the year and I feel that may damper our plans to be beach bums and relax. I'm wondering if there are any other ideas we can do while we are there. We rented a convertible, as we love to drive in Southwest Florida and find good restaurants, views, ice cream, things like that. Are there any locations to drive to or anything fun that you guys can think of to make our honeymoon a more noteworthy time?
They shipped my car and damaged it then wanted to have me pay a deductible. Can you believe that? Never again. This year, I shipped with Enterprise Auto Transport out of Naples and it was such a seamless experience. They even arranged to bring my car to the terminal and I got picked up right at the airport for just a small parking fee. Top notch honest people. I know there are alot of seniors like me shipping cars and I just wanted to tell you all to just stay away from the big company names on the first page because if you read their bad reviews they are all very bad companies. I like to work with local companies first when I do business. This way if something goes wrong I know where to find them.
We’ll be vacationing on Longboat Key in January - looking for suggestions from real people, as it seems TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc all recommend activities with sponsored ads. Staying at a beachfront resort so basically looking for half day adventures, good food, and fun evening activities - TIA!!
Also will have a car so going off the Key is definitely an option!
Good Evening! I wanted to gauge the interest of the SWFL Reddit community on a potential Wealth Management seminar. I work for a top National Wealth Management firm and want to begin branching out to our local community members. My firm and I would look to present on numerous topics including our firms offering and benefits, navigating todays equity and bond markets and more. Please feel free to comment any questions, topics you would be interested in or just your interest in attending. Please also feel free to PM me with any questions. I am happy to answer any questions. Let's keep this to positive comments only please
Hello good people of Florida. I need to get from Tampa airport to Bonita Springs after Christmas and so far I've only identified a rental car from TPA to RSW for $160. I I'm not sure that Uber would work because who wants to do a one-way 2-hour trip. Are there any other car services that I should call?
I was looking to get rid of some of my jewelry collection especially turquoise pieces and other stuff. Does anyone know if I could get some okay prices at a yardsale or garage sale?
I'm meeting some friends for lunch soon. They stick to paleo nutrition and are strict about anything that veers outside of that. I simply prefer to eat healthily, with room for the occasional unrestricted meal.
They suggested Panera or Chpotle. Nothing wrong with either of those, but I'm for a step up that's not super expensive. Thanks in advance!
Looking to buy a house somewhere in SWFL and really struggling to find a location that fits for us. We work remote, and already live in SWFL. Looking for somewhere that’s walkable to shops/ food/ downtown area but ALSO where the house has some property (around a quarter acre). I love Babcock Ranch but I wish the houses had property and weren’t so squished together. We love being close to the beach but for the right community would give that up. Basically asking - does a community exist that’s walkable but doesn’t have the homes sandwiched so close together? Open to HOA or nonHOA.
Looking for my lost Husky. He escaped our yard and we have not been able to locate him. We are located in the McArthur Butler Street East area of Lehigh. My kids and family are very devastated and desperate to have him home. Please contact me with any info.

Ever wanted to suit up in full plate armor and fight in full contact tournaments with real steel weapons?
Introducing the newest Buhurt team in Florida, we are interested in finding anyone willing to suite up and enter the list to test their skills and nerves!
- Knights
Fighters, anyone willing to suite up in full plate armor and compete!
- Squires
Supporters, anyone interested in helping out and being around the fun, without all the scrapes and bruises!
- Sponsors
Anyone looking to help the team grow with supplies, this sport isn't cheap! There is a ton of traveling and our gear loves to break all the time!
Buhurt is a historical practice originating in Europe where knights, warriors and mercenaries would fight with blunted weapons to show off their skills, in a relatively safe environment. Modern Buhurt has taken the premise and brought it back to life. We use real steel weapons and armor to fight and compete, with an emphasis on safety!
Buhurt is for everyone! Doesn’t matter if you're big or small, tall or short, male or female. You can do this sport. Currently you must be 18 years or older! There are soft kit leagues for the younger crowd but our team does not currently host anything for children soft kit fighting.
We practice under IMCF (International Medieval Combat Federation) and ACC (Armored Combat Sports) rules and regulations.
This sport is expensive, no hiding that fact but if you are interested in trying it out all you need to do is show up to a practice with regular athletics clothes and water! Contact bellow for information on practice times and location!

Long story short I work remotely and I’m looking to buy a house for my family in the sub 700k range. We have lived in downtown Estero for a while and we are looking for a change of pace and want a house with about 1-2 acres of land.
Assuming the homes are completely equal, which of these two neighborhoods would you prefer to live in and why?
Debating whether to use the mystery-agency booking through Priceline to save a few bucks, but it says "may require shuttle." Looks like the options for the agency are Alamo, Budget, Sixt, Dollar and Thrifty -- I can tell that the first three are on-airport but I'm not sure about the last two. Thanks for any insight!
Hi! I’m Jay. I’m a teen living in collier county and I’m desperately looking for friends. I was born and raised in collier and I struggled making friends through high school, so now I have no one to hang out with. I work at a major shipping company in the early morning hours, but I’m other wise free! I’m currently single but not looking for a relationship. I’m queer (and over 18) and I’d like to find friends between 18-20 to hang out with or just chat online. Im into all sorts of shows and hobbies so please reach out! Thank you:)
Me and my wife are looking to switch to Xfinity Mobile from ATT.
I’m curious if anyone has Xfinity to let me know how the signal is? ATT is horrible in Estero, Bonita,Naples
We are in Ft Myers fyi
My family is planning a trip to Fort Myers and surrounding areas at the end of December this year. It’ll be me, my husband, our daughter (who will be almost 1), my parents, and my younger brother (13).
We’re looking for suggestions on things to do while we’re there. My dad and brother are really into fishing, and we’re also interested in history and, of course, spending time at the beach.
What’s the weather typically like that time of year, and what should we pack?
Any food places that are a must try?
Thanks in advance for any tips!
I am 47F, single and new-ish to Ft Myers/SWFL and wondering where all the same generation of people are. I know my age demographic are mostly married w/families and such but there has to be some singles out there right? I work from home and don't get out too much so I am not sure where to go. Am I just in the wrong area?
Hello, I live 2 and half hours away from there but I want to see what’s there to explore, I play Roblox sometimes when I’m bored and the main server I play is called “ SWFL” and it takes place in Bonita, everything is replicated, I’ve been playing it for months and I’ve been wanting to go irl there, I’ve driven down S Tamiami and Bonita beach blvd in Roblox, please don’t make fun of me lol
