Does anyone know of public firms still hiring for this tax season?
Ideally in Tampa Bay area (FL), hybrid/remote, for $29/hour or $60K/year (negotiable)
My significant other recently became a licensed Enrolled Agent after passing all 3 exams in just 3 months. She has a liberal arts degree and no prior tax experience beyond studying for EA and completing her own returns but, she’s currently finishing Intuit’s Tax 1/2 courses with practice returns and working on her QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor cert.
I’m trying to get her into my firm, but spots may already be filled for the year.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Open to the whole East Coast of FL from Port. St Lucie to Boca (maybe to as far as Fort Lauderdale).
Two main concerns:
I have a young family, 2 young daughters. How do I know if I’m picking a safe area and building. I’ve fallen for the trap of a lot of areas that I’m told are a lot of common areas folks coming out of rehab. Trying to ensure we raise our kids in a family friendly environment. Are town homes safer than condos?
Hidden costs - what buildings are selling because they’re going to be a money pit? How can I find this out in advance. Again would town homes be a better bet?
Budget $550k and under but more importantly monthly HOA no more than $500.
Hello! I recently moved to the Boynton Beach area and I’m looking to establish care with a primary care physician. Over the past few years, I’ve been pretty transient—moving and traveling a lot since I work remotely—so I haven’t had a primary doctor in quite a while.
I have fibromyalgia, which I’ve been managing successfully for the last 15 years. I don’t need a new treatment plan or anything drastic, but I’d like to establish care with a doctor who is kind, attentive, and understanding of my situation.
I’m a federal employee, and my duty station is in DC, but I’ve been able to work from home with no issues thanks to medical accommodations related to my fibromyalgia. However, with the new administration’s potential return-to-office mandates, I want to make sure I have a supportive physician in case I need updated documentation or assistance to maintain those accommodations.
If you know of any doctors in the Boynton Beach area who might be a good fit, I’d greatly appreciate your recommendations! Thank you so much.
I love to walk at these parks and was looking for new ones that I never have explored yet. I'm willing to drive all the way to West Palm Beach or Miami.
Looking to get our living room, dining, kitchen & foyer painted.
What’s the typical cost down here or are there any recommendations for the palm beach area?
Hi! We are a late 20s-early 30s couple moving to Fort Lauderdale for a new job. We would like to purchase a single family home. I'm trying to read up and understand the market and I hope some of your answers will help accelerate my research.
Also welcome to any other thoughts, suggestions, tips, etc (other than don't move here lol).
Hi,
I recently moved to Florida (Miami) just two months ago, so I’m still very new to the state. I have a group of 15 people visiting over the holidays, including kids aged 7–16 and adults in their 40s and 50s.
I’d love some recommendations for places to take them sightseeing. They aren’t into the party scene, but they’d enjoy family-friendly activities and memorable experiences.
For a beach day, they’d love a quieter spot—South Beach felt far too crowded when I visited. Are there any less busy or more private beaches nearby? We don’t mind driving a short distance since they’ll have rental cars.
I also think a water-based experience would be wonderful for the group. Is it possible to rent a boat or catamaran for the day to explore scenic areas accessible by water?
Finally, if you know of any activities, fairs, or fun events happening during their visit (Dec 31–Jan 3), I’d really appreciate the suggestions.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Anyone know where to get vegan tamales??
Might seem weird to some, but chicken feet make the best chicken broth. I’m wanting to see if anyone knows where I can find organic or free range chicken feet. Publix sells chicken feet but it’s not good quality. I’ve checked with Whole Foods, Sprouts, Milam’s, Aldi, and a bunch of other places, but the only place I’ve seen that sells chicken feet is Publix and it’s not that good.
Anyone know any place in South Florida or even central Florida? Could be a store or an organic chicken farm or maybe free range chicken. Not trying to buy whole chickens, just the feet.
I was just stopped at a light for almost 10 minutes for a police-escorted procession of sports cars. This was on SW. 10th St. between the Sawgrass and 95. Does anyone know what this is?

Would love to do a beach day but need help deciding looking to enjoy a day. We are in our 60’s and are staying in Orlando I plan on driving so it isn’t a problem. Just need somewhere that has parking near the beach. My choices are and not in any order.
From looking at google maps they are within 4 hours. Please list Pro’s and Cons for each
We've been supporting the same tree stand for many years, a lovely family who came down from North Carolina; unfortunately they don't seem to be down here this year. I know it can be a may be more expensive than Home Depot but I received a free tree from an independent stand a couple years ago and I'd like to pass on the good karma.
I’ve found myself switching from those thick solid deodorants to gel based ones as they don’t ruin every shirt I’ve ever worn while using it. Also yeah, it’s hot, it’s Florida… but I just can’t seem to get a good deodorant I keep switching brands. Trying to find the perfect one that lasts really long but maybe im out of luck haha.
I take medication that makes me perspire a lot more and in turn will make my shirts and armpits sweatier. I don’t smell (thank goodness) but my armpits will obviously smell after a few hours of walking around parks etc.
The best I’ve found was a degree women’s deodorant it works well but I have to reapply throughout the day. At times when I’m out with people it’s pretty difficult to part ways and do that, and even that feels unhygienic.
Any recommendations for long lasting deodorants?
Edit: sorry I meant secret not degree Also thank you, you guys are surprisingly straight forward I appreciate that

Anybody interested in going kayaking in Stuart, it will be in the inlet or a river not in the ocean as my kayak wouldn't survive
Hey all, I received a citation after running a red light and I need to pay online, but I lost the letter that was sent to me in the mail. How can I recover the citation info or pay online without the info thay was in the letter?
I'll be moving over to that area next year and I'm scoping out neighborhoods now. I was wondering what neighborhoods you guys would recommend for someone in their mid 20s and also walkable to the beach. Most of the time I won't have to drive into work so commute times isn't super important, but I do go to the gym every day, however I could choose to go at non busy hours. I'm initially thinking either the mid beach area or Hollywood Lakes area. The closer to Miami the better because that's where my gym is, but I already drive 30 minutes to the gym right now so as long as it's not any longer than that I don't mind. I'd be living with 2 other roommates and we want to keep it under $5000 which, I *believe* makes us pretty flexible in terms of rent prices.
Sure it was just a radio show.
But what a show it was. Jorge too. Gone way too soon.
Moving from NYC to South Florida and trying to decide the cheapest way to get to move done.
Anyone here do the move in the past 12 months and have recommendations on the best way to get it done?
We have a 2 bedroom. Biggest furniture is an ikea couch that can break down.
Any recommendations from personal exp would be a huge help.
Did anyone do it with U-Haul? What did it cost after miles and gas? Anyone use a mover? I’m thinking about U-box. Two boxes is about 3k.
I want to help a friend who is looking for an engagement ring. He needs a reputable jeweler who won’t overcharge.
