Hi again! I am most likely going to commit to going to csusm. I’m curious to where most of the freshman stay on campus! Thank you!!
hi! i’m a senior in highschool right now and am considering going here, but i’m scared i won’t make the right choice.
here are the things im concerned about: dorms- are they generally clean and big enough? campus- is it small? are their green outside areas? people- is making friends hard? i’m concerned i’ll be alone for a long time
hey! last ditch effort… I lost a small (abt a 1/2 sheet of printer paper) teal spiral notebook the week of halloween either that tuesday before or thursday of halloween. does anyone know where I might go to see if anyone turned it in? or if anyone has seen it (it has a llama sticker on the front and it was five star brand)? 😂
Does anyone workout at the Clarke? I live in east county and I’m struggling to find time to workout at my gym, so I thought I’d check out what’s available on campus, but I can’t find much info on it.
I'm a first year and I feel like all my other classes are manageable, however my cs class professor assigns way to much homework on short notice. It basically eats up all my study time or free time. Whats worse is theres no way to check my grades for sure, one source says I am at a low B while the other source says im at a mid A.
Is anybody else hearing helicopters and sirens around the school? Anyone know what it is or whats going on?
Hi all! I’ve seen a few flyers around campus about getting involved with the csusm republicans and I keep forgetting to get the contact information for that. Does anyone know where I can reach out to get involved?
My daughter has been going to CSUSM this past semester. I've been giving her crap about spending her money on vending machines, and she informed me today that she hasn't been buying anything from them. We looked over her account and there are constant charges from the vending machines, every day. All small charges...sometimes up to $15 or $18 a day. Is anyone else having issues with this? Ive never seen anything like it.
Hey y’all! I’m a second year student at CSUSM currently residing in an apartment complex in Escondido. I live with my brother(also 19 and a second year) and we are on the search for roommates. Rent would be $1200-1500 including utilities however we would be willing to negotiate if need be. Please DM if interested I’d love to set something up and work with you.
As of right now I am deciding between transferring CSUSM and SDSU for accounting. I just want some insight on the program and opportunities available at each school. One thing to consider is that I live a lot closer to CSUSM. A thirty min commute to San Marcos or an hour and a half to SDSU.
Has anyone here volunteered before to be involved in the orientation team? Are they really strict on the time commitments? Do you get paid? I’m interested in volunteering to make some friends and be involved at school but I want more info on it, I have work and a program on top of school next semester so I want to make sure I can commit to it before I waste time going to the interviews.
This is my first year at CSUSM and I was wondering if there is anything special going on Halloween day? If there’s any events on campus or parties around town. Plus do students dress up in costumes on campus? I know it’s a regular school day and I have classes myself but I was wondering that’s all.
Is they any club or group where peoples can join to play soccer here at the university ground?
Hey y’all does anyone do Uber eats around here or any food delivery? Is it actually worth it for the money you make
Hello! I just recently got accepted (unofficially but officially due to how csu’s in state work) how’s it like over there socially? I do cheer so I would be cheerleading at a gym nearby. Also the dorms look super nice so can someone tell me how they actually are :) thanksss
Hi everyone,
I recently applied to the ABSN program for summer 2025. I know that the spring and fall cohorts begin at the San Marcos campus while the summer cohort starts in the Temecula campus but I was wondering if I get into the Temecula cohort, does that mean my classes will only be in Temecula for the entirety of the program? I live in San Marcos and while I can drive to Temecula, it makes a difference to me if I had to drive up there every week for the entire 5 semesters.
Any insight on this is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Is the link not working ??
question for anyone who never did the HPP credit and got their grade marked down for it, is it a stem down (A to A-) on your grade per HPP credit needed? Or is it per psych class.
All of the offers so far have been terrible and the only good one bailed out on me… tbh i might be okay with just taking a B since I’ll probably end with a high B+… unless it’s per credit then I’m 🫡🫡
It’s my first year at CSUSM and I was really hoping there would be something fun going on for Halloween, but I haven’t found anything so far and I’m not actually sure where to look. Are there any fun parties or even events planned?
Hello!
I was admitted to CSUSM for the Spring 25 semester as a transfer student. I chose the MIS major, although I'm thinking of switching it to the CIS one. I don't have much knowledge about the school, so any tips would be greatly appreciated. Whether it's about housing, classes, costs, clubs, parking, student community, professors, programs (like Trio, EOP, TST), stuff to do in the city, how good is the CIS major, etc.
I plan to take this first semester online. I checked and apparently for the upper division GE classes, it's possible to do so since there are more online options than classes required for the major. There's also a CSU Online Program that allows you to take an extra online class, from what I've heard.
Also, I do plan to live there or at least somewhere close in the city next fall, so if you happen to know more about the website where you can find close places to rent, please let me know!
The catalog says that a high school or college trigonometry course is required to enroll; how strict is this? The highest I ever completed was Algebra 2 in high school and Pre-Calc + Calculus with Applications in college
Anybody who lives on campus wants to be friends? (Preferably anyone neurodivergent or queer but I’m really open to anyone) please dm me 🐝⭐️
My son is considering attending SM as a recruited athlete. He also plans to attend medical school after graduating. He likes the campus, the location and the diversity at San Marcos. He is a hardworking kid but not a genius (over a 4.0 in high school but a middling ACT score). Are the classes in the pre-health majors cut throat? Forced grade curve? His concern is being able to go to a school he likes while playing a sport he loves and doing well enough to be able to make it to med school. His other top choice for his sport is notoriously stressful and known for grade deflation. Thanks for any feedback.
I just signed up for a course during the Winter break at CSUSM. It starts DEC 20 and ends JAN 11. That much I got. But what about the dates in between? It's a completely Online - Asynchronous course. It's a given that there are no deadlines or requirements around Christmas or New Years but what else?
Anyone have any experience with this?
