This subreddit is for the older skaters (anyone above 30). If you are a new old skater you are in the right place as well.
You can post your videos, give and receive tips on tricks you're having difficulty with, your new board setup, what you think would be good for a new skater to get and anything else you find relevant. Skaters of all skill levels are welcome.
There is no age restriction as long as you are not posting your skating footage (See rules below before posting).

There is no age restriction as long as you are not posting your skating footage (videos or photos).
Your post will be removed if it violates this rule.
This is implemented by design to allow the younger skaters to interact with the older skaters but not make the subreddit pointless.
If you are less than [30YO] and want to post your skating footage please use communities which are more appropriate (ex: r/skateboarding).
TITLE RULES:
Your post should contain the following tag at the end [ageYO], where age is your current age in numbers.
For example, I am 38 years old. Therefore, all my post titles this birthday year will be followed by the following:
[38YO]
Common issues:
. You are missing your age tag.
. You forgot to include YO in your age tag after age number.
. You did not enclose tag in square brackets [].
. You did not place the tag at the end of the title. (it should be the last thing, no periods after it).
Note: There is no age restriction as long as you are not posting your skating footage. If it doesn't make sense to specify an age just put [0YO].

Yes he’s okay 🥴
Achievement unlocked! Finally got a 50-50 in the deep end of the bowl of one of my local parks! Something I've been trying for a while now. Pumped to get back there soon to try and dial it in more.
mini boogie.
Beginner level Ollie, only took two years
I hadn't been to this park in about 15 years, went for a little roll yesterday to find the ground has been destroyed..it's like someone had sat with a chisel and chipped away at the concrete.. a real shame!
I managed to find a path to bash out a quick 2 piece to make myself feel like the drive wasworth it.. it wasn't 😂
Having a hard time
Been trying to to adjust from Mongo to Regular. Left Leg dominant, so pushing with my right is odd.
Changing shoes changed my Skating! I know it’s not the cleanest but I’m old!
I bought my first set up in about 15 years at the end of last year. I bought Blind wheels for £9 in a sale, I thought “wheels are wheels”.
Recently bought some Formula Four spitfires. Same hardness to the blinds and the difference is immense. Feels smoother, sounds quieter. They make my Blind wheels feel like something I’ve made by melting down coke bottles.
So buy good wheels. Skating is much more enjoyable with my nice wheels.
Started back up skating about a year and a half ago and it's been going well, but my stamina had sort of plateaued at a few hours or relatively short cruises (1-2mi).
For the past couple weeks, I've been cycling to work a few days a week, and I just did an 8mi cruise without even really feeling it or noticing. Before I knew it, I had made it the 4mi to the skatepark!
I suppose this is obvious, since biking works out those pushing muscles pretty good. Just thought I'd share for any folks getting back into it and having a tough time with regaining stamina.
Hi guys, I got back into skating 2017, been skating my whole life (39 years). I got the basic tricks down but no where near the amount I would like.
I think what’s holding me back is board control - so when learning new tricks or getting things consistent, I would say my body just does whatever and I hope to land whatever trick to luck.
I know the movement I’m meant to do for a variial flip for example but when I roll and actually try to piece the trick together my body just seems to do whatever movement it does.
Is there a way to work on board control or improve kinesthetics?
