I just can’t seem to get my back foot to stay on the board. Any tips???
So currently my setup is: Powell peralta 8.75 deck Krux k5 Nora 8.5 trucks with bones hard bushings Bronson g2 bearings Oj plain Jane's 54mm wheels 86a
I'm wanting to do an all new setup:
Welcome effigy 8.8 deck
Either ace af1 60 or independent 159 trucks and change to harder bushings
Bronson g3 bearings
Ricta chrome clouds 54mm wheels 90a
I'm fairly locked in on the new setup but I simply cannot decide on the trucks. The ace trucks are £80 and I can get a new set of independents for £50, im leaning ace but everything i see online says indy is the better choice.
I've only been skating a few months and I'm only just starting to get comfy on my board and going down banks and stuff but I like to try new things.
TLDR: Doing a new setup, fairly new skater, do I go indy or ace for trucks? Are ace af1 worth the extra £30 compared to indy stage 11?
Is there sizing guide for buying skateboards? I would like to invest in one with good quality and don't want to waste money. Also is it better to buy a pre assembled board or build new one? If I were to build a skateboard is there anything I should keep in mind? Btw I'm 163 cm tall with size 8-9 uk shoes
i can do stationary shuvs but can never seem to land them when i’m in motion, are there any tips i should be keeping in mind?
i cant seem to put my back foot on the board, when i actually try to commit fully and jump with both feet my board dont rotate or flip fully. i have attempts in video when i actually tried and jumped, someone help me out🙏🏿🙏🏿
Hey, I was wondering what kind of wheels and tracks I should get for my bord. It has not been used for a long time, so the tracks are rusted. Because right now i'm running speed demons but the wheels are pretty crap. Anyone who can help.
I ride size 8, 52mm wheels, and my amount is about 60 dollars 😊

I know you're supposed to lift the front leg first and then push/slide forward at the apex. This should help the board rise higher and faster, if I’m not mistaken. However, I find that just sliding makes the motion more straightforward, and I’m able to ollie, kickflip, and heelflip. When I focus on lifting, my legs don’t seem to sync up properly, and I find myself over analyzing the motion. I can only ollie consistently when lifting first. Should I just stick to sliding the front leg?
ive been at this for months now im so close to giving up, it feels like my body dont want to catch up

Ive been skating for a week or 2 now and im still so scared to go to actual skateparks because of the pro skaters. I’m afraid of being called a poser or being laughed at.
I just ate shit from trying to ollie something while going fast because i got scared
How do I land this? Need advice.
So does anyone know and good YouTube channels to help with getting started? I have no one irl to teach me but I’ve wanted to do this for five years but feel like I’m about the faceplant the second I get on it.
these are the first two kickflips that i landed, the order of the videos are cronologic.
what can i do to improve this trick and get better at it? how do i land with the feet separated? this doesn't seem possible in my head

I'm currently staying by my uncle and I'm not allowed to take my board anywhere with me he thinks I'll be attacked and it will be stolen what can I do I would of asked a friend to hold it for me but I don't have one and sneaking it out won't be a option he even treated to throw it in the trash but if he does he owes me money
Haven’t skated for 15 years now, been at it for literally 3 days and surprised to say I think I still got it. Now I have some questions for experienced skaters. I’m trying to learn a 360 flip or a Trey flip. Does it branch from the kickflip? Any advice please.
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to gear (just started researching all the terms and what they mean last night), and I wanted to ask if its possible for me to figure out my bushing duro? I got my board a few years ago from a local skate shop. I gave them a budget ($220), and the guy there set everything up for me, and I've been told by more experience skaters that I got good value for what I paid for, so thankfully he didn't skimp out on me. However, I'm realizing now that I have absolutely no idea what my specs are at all.
I can obviously tell what wheels I have, and I can measure the board width, but I'm trying to figure out my exact trucks, more specifically my bushing duro, since I want to switch to more of a cruiser setup. All I know is that they are Independant trucks. Is there any way for me to tell the exact duro? If not, it's not that big of a deal since it still feels great, but any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Where are good places/terrains to skate on that are NOT skateparks? How am I supposed to act in skateparks? How do I get more comfortable on my board? How often do you clean it? Any tips for literally anything? Any needed gear that isn’t the skateboard it’s self?
(Sorry for all the questions I’m a little nervous)
I was wondering if there's any difference between ankle braces generally commercialized and ankle braces commercialized towards skaters.
Any help is much appreciated 👍
I'm a new skater. I know i should start with cruising but, should I go to my local park and ask for help?
Hi, I've been skating consistently for 4-5 years and I've been trying 360 flips for many years, and probably a 100 hours on them without landing a single one. Any tips?
