[Post-game Thread] UCLA:20 Fresno State:13

Bruins win! Bruins win! Bruins win! Nice win to finish it out! Well nice win ( ugly as hell how we got there) but it's a win. I am so happy we got this W here to cap it off. Snapped the losing streak against Fresno State, and we have some momentum hopefully going into this next season.

Now, it's the end of the season I hope you enjoy me being here as much as I enjoy all of you. This Sub just makes my gamedays so much more enjoyable! A big thank you to u/Eat_Cats for this place for all of us to connect. Hopefully next year is more fun!

For the last time this season, Go Bruins!!!!

[Pre-Game Thread] UCLA vs. Fresno State kickoff from The Rosebowl @12:30 pm PST.

Hello Bruins, here we are in the last week of the season that, quite hoestly.........I hated, then loved, then I don't know. All I know is I'm down with what Coach Foster is doing. This team seemed lost and a joke the first few weeks, then turned it around. So here we are, last week gotta get this one. What do you all have to say? Here is your pre-game thread for all predictions, expectations, game day plans, and any and all pregame chatter. Go Bruins!

Fair SC game assessment

The part I most agree with is that Beinemy isn't the OC solution. As a one-time proponent of him as a Chip Kelly replacement, I'm eating big time crow.

My wife is an Iowa grad and I am an UCLA so I figured a commemorative ticket from the game would be a nice keepsake.

The front is a nice glossy image and the back is blank. I was hoping that it would have included the box score so I added it myself.

I don't regret it but I wouldn't recommend it either since you could get one of equal quality off esty for less than $17. If you do get it, definitely buy an acrylic stand from amazon for $7 instead of paying $43 for the frame version.

Can Fos beat Fresno for the first time in 20 years?

At this point our season is busted.

But we can have ONE MORE MORAL VICTORY!

UCLA hasn’t beat Fresno is 20 years (last 5 meetings). They may be a little beat up, but they’re still a good team.

I’m gunna try and hype myself up for this game and say that Foster and Co. have a chance to prove themselves here by beating Fresno State.

To me - this has the same feeling of getting utterly owned by Stanford for a decade. Break the cycle boys and let’s end strong!

[Post-game Thread] UCLA: 13 $c: 19

Well.....guess we aren't going bowling this year. This one slipped away when I honestly thought it was ours. Nice run to try and get to a bowl, but this squad just isn't there yet. I think what pisses me off the most is those fuckers are going to a bowl and we won't. They are trash as a program, and I feel like we are getting better. So, whay say you Bruins?

[Game Thread] UCLA vs $c

Bruins, it's gametime!!!!!!!!! Man I've been antsy all freaking day for this one! I'm so pumped for it, our march to a bowl game continues with a win tonight! I hope we run the shit out of the ball and break their hearts early. The pass rush needs to get home, and no stupid PI penalties to bail them out. I hope we blitz the shit out of em. So, here is your game thread folks for all in game talk, cheers, jeers, and hot takes.

Roses are red, violets are blue, and fuck $c!

GO BRUINS!!!!!!!!!!

[Pre-Game Thread] UCLA vs $uc kickoff from the Rosebowl @7:30 PM PST

Hello Bruins! The battle for the Victory Bell is finally here. I'm so pumped for this game! I feel like (even though we stumbled against Washington) our team is on its way up, while $c is heading downward. Alot to be excited about tonight, it's not just about the bell, we need this win to keep our bowl hopes alive. A month ago I wouldn't have believed I'd be saying that. Huge one tonight folks! Here is your pre-game thread for all pregame predictions, expectations, game day plans, and just overall expression of hate for $c. Go Bruins!

UCLA vs U$C Tailgates Recs

Bruins, I need some help. This is my first time back this season; let's party for a bowl birth! I am wondering if anyone has any info on any ongoing tailgates or areas I should look into. My parking pass is for LOT A, but is that the only place for open tailgating? Lot A used to be the spot when I was a student; I didn't know if things had changed.

Who all is going to the game this Saturday?

I’ll be there with my brother. Would be cool to see other people in this thread there! If we’ve got enough people, might be cool to do a little meetup or something before the game.

Selling Tickets is Not Allowed on the Subreddit

We do this every year…I remove a ton of posts, and some of you still ignore when we literally send you a message. READ THE RULES!

We do not allow the buying/selling of tickets for ANY game without PRIOR MOD APPROVAL.

None of you who are posting are asking, and honestly I’m tired of removing the posts. Consider this THE warning - any new posts selling or trying to buy tickets will get a temp ban until game day.

Thank you all for your prompt attention.

HEY BRUINS! It's $uc week! Let's talk rivalry!

Hello Bruins! As I said it's $uc week, and I want those rivalry flames burning bright this week! Come Saturday I want every person on this sub chiming in on the game threads! With the new folks that have joined us let's all share our fondest memories from this rivalry. Whether watching at home, at the game live, or just anything UCLA vs $uc football share it. I love hearing this stuff! I have 2 that come to mind specifically

13-9 need I say more? I mean to crush their Natty hopes and seeing Cheatey Petey totally dejected on the sideline was priceless! When Pat Cowan popped right up after almost getting his head taken off with the late hit......I knew we were winning.

Then there's well this....... I believe it posted it on top.

Honorable mention, the Cade McNown years, we freaking owned them! It was beautiful!

So, I'd love to hear all your memories and stories! As always Go Bruins!

Which players from the current roster do you think will make the NFL?

By make the NFL, I don't mean becoming an All-Pro or even a starter, just making an NFL roster. It might be more players than you think. All of the following players from last year's team were on an NFL roster the last time I checked: Laiatu Latu, Darius Muasau, Carl Jones Jr, Carson Steele, Colson Yankoff(this one surprised me), Duke Clemens, Grayson Murphy, Gabriel Murphy, and Alex Johnson. Only Latu and Muasau were drafted.

Likely Draftees:

  • DT Jay Toia: NFL teams are always going to be interested in a big defensive tackle who can impact the run game
  • LB/DE Oluwafemi Oladejo: Teams might be interested in him as an off-ball LB or an edge rusher. I think he'll put up great combine numbers to boost his stock.
  • TE: Moliki Motavao: 6'6" 260 lbs with great hands. Need I say more?
  • ILB Carson Schwesinger: Even if he never becomes a starter, I could easily see him having a long career playing on special teams. He's also better than Muasau was, and he got drafted.

Possible Draftees/UDFA:

  • LB Kain Medrano: Athletic, rangy LB. I think the fact there's been some downsizing amongst NFL LBs will help him.
  • WR J. Michael Sturdivant: I think he's put enough on film to get drafted as a 6'3 deep threat, but he might want to use his last year of eligibility to transfer somewhere where he will get utilized more.
  • RB Keegan Jones: Lacks NFL size, but teams might be drawn to his speed and pass-catching ability as a gadget player/pass-catching RB.
  • S Bryan Addison: I know he's like 35 years old, but is it crazy to think teams might be intrigued by a 6'5" guy in the secondary who has shown some big-play ability?
  • WR Logan Loya: Consistently outperforms expectations and has shown the ability to get open against zone coverage. Problem is, he's listed at 5'11 and might be even shorter.

Underclassmen who may be future prospects:

  • OT Niki Prongos
  • RB Jalen Berger
  • WR Kwazi Gilmer
  • WR Rico Flores
  • CB Kaylin Moore

Our leading rusher had 33 yards against a defense that allowed 162 rushing yards per game

Team rushing offense: 33 carries for 52 yards, 1.6 Y/C

If you take away Garbers stats, the numbers are 19 for 50, 2.7 Y/C

[Post-game Thread] UCLA: 13 Washington: 31

Well, this sucked. No other way to say it. I'm pretty disappointed all around with this one. That first half really sucked, and was hard to overcome. And oh yeah, establishing a run game would have been nice! On to $uc week I suppose. What say you Bruins? I'm just pissed. Go Bruins!

Edit: Washington: 31 UCLA: 19 Sorry, I got ahead of myself.
