Hi, I am an international prospective PhD student and I have had some undiagnosed physical health complications that I am in the process of trying to figure out and require a lot of mental health support. I still want to apply to grad school but I am worried. How is the Vanderbilt healthcare system in terms of mental healthcare? Is there a team of psychologists- do they handle socially progressive issues? Are there doctors available to act as primary care practitioners at the school? I am not sure if there is some form of link or website that I am missing but any input from students would be of great assistance.

Doing poorly in calc-1300, I feel so tired and burnt out every day as a first semester freshman- and I honestly couldn’t be less motivated. Does it get better, like genuinely?

So basically, I went to the stadium pretty early to get the shirt and put it on the bench next to me. When the crowd started entering the stadium, this dude passed my seat when I was talking to my friend and just took it. I yelled at him and he just walked away like he didn’t just steal from me. (Too many people for me to chase after him)

I’m pretty shocked and disappointed to see such disgusting things happened in a university. This guy has no shame for doing this.

If he ever saw this post, I just hope he failed his classes🙄

Hello, I’m a sophomore at Vanderbilt and I’m trying to go to the Texas game tomorrow. I don’t have a lot of money to spend on a ticket and the ticket prices on the resale sites are way too high. I’ll keep looking up until a few hrs before the game starts to see if they get cheaper at the last minute but I thought I’d reach out here to see if anyone has a ticket to sell. I really can’t go much over 75 dollars but I’ll take a ticket anywhere in the stadium I just don’t want to miss this moment because if we win I’ll regret not being there for the rest of my life.

I know everyone says lots of freshman take a while to find their place, but it seems like everyone else has found groups and I’m floating without close friends. My roommate and I don’t get along and my floor is coed and it seems everyone just kinda keeps to themselves.

I’m introverted and don’t really party much but I’ve also always had a lot of friends before coming here. Now I don’t have many friends and am more of a loner even though thats definitely never been what I was like before this. I see people who don’t seem super popular who are also talking about rushing but I’ve overhead my roommate saying she doesn’t think those people are going to get a bid. My roommate isn’t rushing but I know her friends are. They are trying for theta though so I think it’s different for the other houses.

The big question I’m asking is how welcoming sororities are to people who haven’t found their place and also whether I will find my people there.
