I dug a 40 year old box of ARAH toys out of my closet and started cleaning up my old figures. I was pretty rough with them back in the day resulting in a lot of rust, damaged O-rings, and general grime. Because of this abuse it turned into standard procedure to take all the figures apart, give them a cleaning with warm water, dish soap, and a toothbrush, and replace the screws and O-rings.
Thing is I'm ending up with a lot of figures with floppy heads. I'm using I'm using screws and O-rings that match up to original factory as close as I can tell, and while I torque the screws in pretty hard but I don't want to overdo it and damage the plastic. But about a third of my figures are going back together with their heads flopping all over, including some that were perfectly good before my surgery. Because of the frequency of this happening, I have to assume its something I'm doing wrong, but I can't figure out what and why it isn't all of them. I know I can fix it with something like nail enamel, but I'd rather not damage them in the first place, especially ones that were fine before I touched them.
So what could I be doing that's causing this issue? And how do I fix it without further damage?
For starters, I’m fairly new to GI Joe. I collect action figures and about a year ago I picked up a couple Classified figures just because I thought they looked cool and got totally sucked in. Of all the lines I collect, Joes are now the third most populous, and I’m totally getting sucked into the lore and trying to find ways to watch old movies and episodes of the tv show. And amidst all this I think my favorite class a trooper is EASILY the Vipers… But I’ve got to ask, what purpose do those goggles serve over their mask??? It looks cool as shit, but is there any functionality within the lore or is it strictly aesthetics?
Today was a Good Day
Just got in my Dragonfly and spotted this decal misprint with the arm on the upper portion. Just throwing it out there so you can check yours.
Do I put them with the dragonfly or with my night force figures and just use other standard figures on the haslab
Title really says it all.
I know GI Joe has the score soundtrack for the tv show but was wondering if ever there was love given to the GI Joe movie soundtrack.
*NO SPOILERS* So I've been way excited for this issue and have really enjoyed the Energon Universe in general. That said, having just finished issue #1 from Image, I wasn't really, well, anything. Maybe I got my hopes up too high but I feel like this could've been a homerun but it was just OK. Your thoughts?
Just finished the entire Skybound digital collection of the old Marvel Comics. I heard IDW picked up where they left off but I’ve never read them.
Where can I read them digitally ?
