Going over this presidential debate is dumb gold 😭

My favorite minor detail in a sketch that cracks me up is how in the Boner Song, when they’re singing, Timmy’s singing voice is an entire octave above the rest of the gang. Something about that gets me every time. It’s a shame he only got like two lines in the whole song, I would’ve loved to hear more of his singing voice, it’s so funny.

Conveniently, I’m already writing them as bickering and overly competitive, so this fits in perfectly with what I’ve already written

But keep in mind it will remain primarily comedic in tone, even the sex part will be played for laughs

This is a super early recording of Trevor Moore doing a stand up gig with lots of material from his first public access TV show "The Trevor Moore Show", plus some maybe never before heard material.

I grew up in the same town as Trevor, and my father, Aer Stephen, was somewhat responsible for getting Trevor this gig which would serve as a stepping stone in his career.

I’m from the same city Trevor was from, Charlottesville, Virginia, but now have a home in a small village in Sweden called Svärdsjö (Swordlake). Found this just now at the local dump that has a little shipping container people can put stuff that they think is worth giving away. Score! Gonna watch it tonight for sure.

And before you ask, there’s nothing sexual in it (besides a glory hole joke)

I am firmly against shipping real people, this is all in good fun and isn’t meant to be interpreted as anything other than a silly tribute to the show and to Trevor. I’m still working on it and don’t know when I’ll be finished with it but I like what I’ve written so far. I’m trying hard to emulate the comedic style and pacing that the show had, but I know that with a different medium and lack of personal experience with the show one can only go so far, but regardless I’m hoping to at least somewhat capture the essence of what made WKUK so great

I don’t exactly expect anyone to love it or hate it, I’m really not sure how the public is going to react, but regardless I’m hoping it’s a way for me to interact with fans as a new fan of the show and to help practice my writing skills, I haven’t written fiction in a couple years so it’s good to test my strengths and see what I’m capable of.

For some added context, the fic takes place during the time of the show (so late 2000s/early 2010s) and is supposed to essentially come across as a very long sketch, the guys play as themselves, and the story is basically just them playing a game of mini golf, but ofc since this is them shit hits the fan pretty quickly. It contains heavy drug use, swearing, mild violence, lots of bickering, and references to past sketches. Won’t be spoiling much else.

I don’t know how it will turn out but I hope that with the right inspiration and execution it will a fun tribute to the show and a good laugh for you guys.
