Hey, I'm an independent developer who has recently started exploring the ditherpunk genre. I'm running a very small event called DITHERJAM on itch.io. This event runs from 6-13 December 2024. There's no rules or limitations on game type, format or content, other than creating the game in the timeframe. If you've ever wanted an excuse to make something small in the spirit of the ditherpunk aesthetic, I'd be very honoured if you'd consider joining in!

Anyone down to game jam?
Itch has got this zombie girl themed game jam going on right now and I’m an absolute beginner but I got big ideas and I’m ambitious so I signed up. I’m a code guy, with limited experience in pixel art and I’m also a musician so in theory I have experience in that as well but in practice I have no experience in video game music. Basically I’m asking if anyone wants to go in with me and help me out on art and music and I can do all the code. Originally I was thinking about doing a game boy studio game because it’s easy but I also have experience in renpy and game maker studio and limited experience in unity. If anyone is interested hit me up!
I am very excited for this game jam I organized to make games using the LittleJS Game Engine. Managed to secure some great sponsors and just hit 300 people joined! https://itch.io/jam/littlejs-game-jam

No matter your skill level, everyone’s welcome to participate. The jam has already begun, but there’s still plenty of time to hop in, brainstorm ideas, and bring your concepts to life. Let’s make this jam one to remember! 🚀
Good luck, and happy dev-ing!
We are running a month long jam in the honour of a certain annual event
Howdy y'all! Is anyone participating in the game jam starting in about 10 minutes? I just stumbled on it, and I'm a composer wondering if anyone is wanting somebody to help work on music for their game? Message me and we can work out some details! :)
I would love to do another jam in November / December, something of a similar size to the other two I mentioned. Can anyone give me some recommendations?
"Lyko Horror Game Jam" is a two-week jam where you make a horror themed video game. Your game can be any genre, made in any engine, for any platform (though making it playable on PC is preferable so that it can be shown on the live stream) the only fundamental rule is that the main theme is "Psychological Horror". The possibilities are endless!
The deadlines are October 30th - August 6th,
and the voting deadline is August 6th - August 10th 12:AM EST.
We also have a discord server listed in the description of the jam but is not a requirement to join. After the two week period, every game submitted will be played on livestream for the Lil Lyko youtube channel. We hope everyone has a fun time, and overcomes any challenges you come across.
Good Luck everyone, - Lil Lyko
