[HOBBY] Looking for writer for a small point and click adventure game

Update :
Found a writer
We could still use a second 2D artist

Hello, we are 3 persons looking for a 4th member to make a small point and click adventure game.

We are looking for someone interested in writing, especially dialogue.

We are already covered in:

Sound

Visuals (we have room for an extra artist, though)

Programming

We have just recently started, so there is still a lot of influence on the game to be had on the game.

Currently the "plot" is :

You are a young dwarf living in the mines with his family (and clan, perhaps?). Start out the game with some simple tasks to get ready for a productful mining day.
Solve small puzzles/minigames throughout the mines.
Something during the day goes wrong, or an emissary comes bringing bad news or something like that, that necessitates, that our hero leaves the mines to seek out a magic gem, a special metal to make a legendary weapon, etc. It might be that the hero has unleashed a demon during mining. The game will end with the hero leaving the mines.

The scope of the game is set to 5-8 different scenes, all somewhere in the mines. We plan to work on it for the next 2-3 months in our spare time.

If we like working together, this could potentially work as a demo/prototype/chapter 1 of a larger game. But the goal currently is to make a short story with an open ending.

Portfolio of our 2D artist : https://joieyong.com/illustrations/
Portfolio of our sound artist : https://marcosantosmusic.itch.io/
Not a whole adventure game, but small halloween game from the programmer : https://belhage.itch.io/hide-or-die

I hope to hear back from you!

(RevShare) Artist and Programmer/Developer

Hello everyone,

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re in the early stages of developing a WWII real-time strategy game, and we’re searching for talented programmers and artists to join us on a revshare basis. This project combines historical authenticity with engaging, tactical gameplay to recreate the strategic depth of World War II. The game is inspired by titles like RUSE and Company of Heroes, we’re dedicated to crafting a nostalgic yet refreshing experience that captures the spirit of WWII strategy games.

Our goal is to offer players an immersive, historically enriched game that not only delivers intense tactical decision-making but is also just plain fun to play. With the revshare opportunity, the idea is that every member’s contributions are rewarded proportionately as the game progresses and reaches the market.

Who We’re Looking For: We’re interested in programmers skilled in Unity, especially those with experience in AI development and UI/UX design tailored for intuitive, strategic gameplay. On the art side, we’re seeking 3D artists skilled in environment and character modeling, as well as texture artists and animators who can bring to life the visual style of the WWII era, capturing the time’s atmosphere and realism.

If you’re excited about collaborating on a WWII RTS project and have a passion for historical gaming, we’d love to hear from you! Let’s work together to create something extraordinary in this ambitious, immersive strategy game. Please feel free to DM and we can continue to discuss the project here or on discord as well as provide some more details on the status of the project.

[RevShare] Artists and Programmers to make game

I’m an experienced freelance 3D artist & programmer looking for 1 or more people who would like to build a game or start a studio. So the partnership would be equity based in the beginning

I prefer Blender and UE5 personally. I’m pretty set on Unreal so that’s non negotiable for me

I built a basic prototype of a 3PS with weapons / 8 different guns recently. Also made some concept art for 9 ‘all ages’ characters in the last 2 days. I have a lot to contribute in terms of ideas, skill and assets. Going to upload a clip of the 3PS to YouTube for anyone who wants to see

Im not set on building a shooter. I have plenty of ideas, and im open to hearing yours.

The main goal is to make a great game that people love. And if we can make some money doing that, to keep working for ourselves and invest in making better games with more people

I’ve been playing video games since the mid 90s and I’d like to make some positive contributions to a gaming industry that’s dominated by soulless corporations

If you’ve read this far and are interested, please feel free to message with some details about what you bring to the table and how you can contribute. Experience is great but not necessarily required

It would be nice to have someone who can contribute by modeling characters or environments so I can focus more on programming (or vice versa).

I also have personal / professional experience writing / recording / producing music, web and app development. Willing to do whatever it takes to make a good game

Thank you for reading

Seeking Game Developers & 3D Designers to Build a The Cycle-Inspired PvPvE Game! 🚀

Hey Game Devs!

I’m looking to put together a team of game developers and 3D designers to create a game inspired by The Cycle—a project aimed at capturing that unique blend of PvE and PvP mechanics in a way that feels fresh, exciting, and approachable. I’ve been searching for a game that balances engaging PvPvE elements without leaning too hardcore or overly "anime," but there’s not much out there that really hits the mark. So, I thought, why not try building it together?

Who I'm Looking For:

  • Game Developers with experience in multiplayer mechanics, survival elements, or FPS/TPS gameplay. Knowledge of Unreal or Unity and familiarity with networking and optimization would be ideal.
  • 3D Designers who are comfortable crafting realistic environments, gear, and creatures in a style that’s grounded yet slightly futuristic. If you have experience with asset creation, texturing, or environmental design, that’s a plus!

Project Vision:

The goal is to create an immersive PvPvE game with engaging, accessible gameplay—a middle ground where casual and more experienced players can enjoy the challenge without an overwhelming learning curve. We’ll focus on approachable yet strategic mechanics that allow players to dive into both PvE and PvP experiences.

Interested? Let’s Talk!

If you’re interested in contributing, have suggestions, or just want to chat about the idea, DM me on Discord at djmaxbase! If Discord isn’t an option, feel free to reach out here on Reddit. I’m open to discussing roles, project vision, and commitment levels to see if we’d be a good fit for building this project together.

Let’s connect and make something awesome!

Looking to Start a UK-Based Game Dev Team!

Hey fellow developers! I'm aiming to create a game development company in the UK and am looking for passionate team members to join me. Here's a bit about me: I have 2 years of experience in Unity C# and have released several games on itch.io. While programming is my main skill, I have a solid understanding of other game development areas, such as design, art, and sound. However, like the Game of life, I’ve realized that mastering every discipline is nearly impossible, and it’s best to focus on my strengths while collaborating with talented individuals.

I’m seeking team members aged 21 and older who are based in the UK. Being in the same country is crucial, as it ensures that when we eventually draw up contracts for revenue sharing, we’re all operating under the same legal framework. This setup helps keep everything clear, transparent, and fair for everyone involved, fostering a sense of trust and accountability.

Skills that could really benefit our project include:

  • 2D/3D Artists: Bring our game to life with stunning and visually appealing artwork.
  • Writers: Craft engaging and immersive stories, dialogue, and in-game content.
  • Music Composers: Create captivating audio experiences that elevate gameplay.
  • Marketing Experts: Help get our game noticed by a wide audience and increase visibility.

You don’t need prior experience—just a willingness to learn, grow, and collaborate creatively. I’m happy to guide and teach as we develop our project together. We’ll be working on a profit-sharing basis, with opportunities to shape our game from the ground up.

If this excites you, DM me about yourself! Let’s chat, share ideas, and start building something amazing together.

[RevShare][Unity] Looking for a team to work on mobile game or start project from scratch

Hi INAT!

I'm looking to join or build a team to work on innovative game projects, ideally in Unity (though I'm currently learning UE5 and could be open to those too). My previous project—a mobile game—was in development with a partner who recently left, so I’m open to either continuing with it alongside a small, motivated team or diving into something new together! It's a topdown mobile game shooter which was supposed to bring in some revenue before working on larger projects and setting up a company. The game is quite advanced, shoot me a message if you want more detail.

I'm particularly interested in creating games with small yet realistic playstyles, balanced with complex and unique mechanics. It would be great to work with at least one other experienced coder, along with a diverse skill set—there’s something inspiring about collaborating with others, sharing ideas, and building something we’re all proud of.

A bit about me c:

  • Background: I’m a senior software engineer based in Singapore. Timezones aren’t an issue; I work remotely and can be very flexible. I have a master’s degree with a focus on AI, and I’ve been coding in C# for over 4 years.
  • Experience: I’ve put in a few hundred hours in Unity and have some Blender experience, though I haven’t yet tackled a larger game project—excited to change that and make this my first!
  • Availability: I’m ready to dedicate solid hours to a new project, although with a full-time job, my primary commitment would likely be a couple of hours on weekdays and additional time over the weekends.
  • My Vision: I have a few ideas brewing for quirky, smaller-scale games that could be fun and rewarding to build as a team. I’m also open to any project that blends realism with creativity and innovative mechanics.

About you:

  • Skills and position: I'm looking for a team, preferably an experienced C# developer, and a game designer. Having some public communication skills (being able to set up and update a social media account, communicate about the game development, ..), graphic designing or composition skills would be a big plus.
  • Timezone: Any timezone is appreciated, as long as you can meet halfway when we have some catchups.
  • Contract: Revenue will be shared equally. Intellectual properties and exit clause will be discussed so that any contribution can be valued even if you leave the project later on.
  • Availability, experience and background: Let's catchup in dm for that, any background and experience is welcome!

If you’re interested in creating a game to add to your experience in a friendly, collaborative environment, drop me a DM! Whether you have a project underway or want to brainstorm something fresh, I’d love to chat aswell.

Take care, and hope to connect soon!

[Hobby] [Paid] Looking for collaborators for a short film.

Hi everyone! I will be directing a short film in the coming months and was wondering if there are any folks here who want to collaborate. Essentially looking to connect with creative folks with a great eye or ear / niche taste (artists, actors, writers, cinematographers, photographers, music makers, graphic designers, editors, etc.). If nothing else, can opine on the script and give any suggestions or references. Depending on the collaboration I am open to making this a paid endeavor as well. The topic has to do with friendships or relationships, amongst adults, in today's day and age.

If anybody is interested, do dm (with anything you've made, been a part of or what caught your eye recently!). You can also email me: nimbuxpani@gmail.com

A little bit about me. I am based in India, I freelance in the Indian film industry. I have been working since the last 10 years in different departments such as art, vfx and direction. I can share my IMDB page once we connect. Genres I lean towards include independent films, world cinema and non-fiction. My philosophy would be less words more visuals. Some films I have liked recently: Blood Simple, Body Heat, Leave No Trace, Blue Ruin, You Won't Be Alone, Only Yesterday, The Summit of the Gods, Apollo 13, The Miracle Worker, A Prayer Before Dawn. While the film would be shot here in India, I would love to connect with artists from all over the world with a unique vision.

Suggestions are welcome!

[For Hire] Script Writer and Editor / Storyboard Artist / Project Manager - Flexible / Open Rates

Hey all!
My name is N.L., and I'm currently looking for both short and long term projects to sink my teeth into to help fund my personal works.

I've been a script writer for about a decade now for a few comic and animation projects, and I've picked up storyboarding and paneling my own scripts within the last few years!

You can check some of my self-published works through these links -

and

( Lancers is the small art studio I run to help publish indie comics and projects, including my own webmanga and webcomic! I have written the scripts for the works currently published under the Lancers banner in their entirety. )

Here is what I can bring to the table:
- Script Writing, both short and long-form

I can help create One-Shot style stories from the ground up, or I can help create massive stories with vast amounts of world building, character variety, etc.

- Script Editing

I've worked with a plethora of other creatives in the past, and have a great understanding of a story's framework. I can help correct typos within a script, guide plot threads or steer clear of plot holes, and give feedback on any given piece!

- Storyboarding

I can do anything from layout the very barebones framework of a page for a comic, to getting the exact posing, paneling, and details needed to help guide the final design. I work through Clip Studio, borrowing their 3D models to help make up for my lackluster talent as a traditional artist.

- Project Management

I spearhead, and help co-manage, many other projects, even outside of the scope of Lancers! I can help with all sorts of odd jobs around the digital space. I have a lot of experience when it comes to this stuff!

I am open to any and all genres, and I can work in any medium, not just comics!

As for my rates, I am open to discussing this on a case-to-case basis. I have been on the other end of the hiring process, and understand that everyone's budget is different. Creativity shouldn't be barred by your wallet 😎
( I do payments through Paypal mainly, but am open to discussing other methods. )

You can contact me through here, Discord, or my email! ( I will respond quickest through Discord, as it's where I handle most creative projects through! )

[RevShare] Need help lifting weight of this project.

Hey there! I founded Nexo Games Studios, a small team passionate about game development and storytelling. To clarify, we aren't anything official yet, we are just a small online team based on a Discord server.

We have been developing a game called No Return: Invasion Chronicles, or NR:IC. It is a voxel Sci-Fi Military RPG, being made in Unity as well as our in-house game engine The Golden Engine, which may sound confusing to you, as to how we can use two game engines however our game engine is highly compatible with Unity assets.

Logline: In the year 3020, Earth is under occupation by an advanced alien species known as the Solori. To liberate their home, humanity must travel across their purged home, plough through hardships and vanquish the biggest threat the galaxy has ever seen before it’s too late.”

We wish to build a rich and deep universe from this game, depending on its success.

However, certain complications have arisen and I realise I need someone or some people who can aid in the project's direction.

I'm looking for:

-- Project Manager, overall command of the project, you will work with me to bring this project to life.

-- Creative Manager, you will lead our writers and story developers into building a rich universe of stories.

-- Design Manager, you will work with our Director of Game Development, programmers and modellers to design and build various levels.

-- Casting Manager, you will work with me when recruiting people for the project, whether that be voice actors, animators, programmers, etc.

-- Publicist, you will work to advertise the project.

If you wish to fill up one of these positions, message me on Discord, my name is mastergolden82, or you can email me at MasterGoldenNGE@hotmail.com

If you have any questions, please just ask below in the comments or message me and please, if you wish to leave criticism, let it be constructive, thank you.

[ForHire] [RevShare] Requiring Voice Actors, 3D modellers and 3D animators to work on a sci-fi series with me!

Hello! I am called F.M.M. I am a science fiction writer that has just decided to try and make a science fiction series on Youtube for people to both admire my work, to be entertained, and to have a new, good science fiction series on Youtube, free to watch for everyone there. After a channel for the series is made, a Patreon for the channel is made, the trailer for the series is released and the first season is finished (or at least have made three episodes) the revenue obtained through the Patreon will be shared between the people working for the project. The first season will be, probably, around seven to twelve episodes long. This is hard sci-fi (or,well, relatively hard sci-fi),but there's still a lot of space for creativity to thrive in there. IF someone knows how to also draw or model (in 2D for drawing,3D as of modelling),but don't want to work for the series, you could do some concept art for the series based off a prompt I could give you. No pressure on doing this, for it is a really ambitious project that I wish to finish soon. It doesn't have a release date yet, but it may have once it begins to be worked on. I'm currently working on the script and there's a couple of voice actors,a music composer and two sound designers in the project. If you wish to join us,just DM me on Reddit! That's all. Farewell,r/INAT. Oh! And I almost, almost forgot to link some of my work! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1v2G_ZA3LiHgp-UfCJe2Qywp5KmaEN7V3S7QbRG_ENWk/edit?usp=drivesdk Currently working on it. I know there's rough sides of the writting and spelling mistakes, but I'll slowly fix it. Slowly. I hope that you join the project,if you're interested. Now,actually,farewell,r/INAT. Have a great day.

[Hobby] Turn base PvP Game looking for testers Saturday Nov 2nd and onward

Hello everyone, I am the creator of the game Rune Tactics: Arena and I will hosting a playtest on Sunday Nov 2 to test out the 2v2 queue system and matches. As well as testing out newly implemented features such as

- text bubbles within combat
- character build system
- a bunch of tweaked spells/passives

The short blurb of the game is an isometric turn based PvP tactics game with character classes and progression!

You'll be able to pick from among 5 classes:

Ezilitref
- a farmer who's main mechanic is planting seeds that grow into powerful buffs as turn progress. They thrive in the mid to late game, setting up a field of buffs they can step on at any time to give themselves an advantage.
Kipe
- a fisherman by trade they strategies and take their time. Applying a hooked state to their enemies and then luring them into traps that have added setup ahead of time, hidden from the enemies.
Bubostrig
- an owl librarian who's knowledge transcends our understanding. They gain clarity the more damage they deal to enemies and then consume it by opening their third eye. Increasing spell abilities to make devastating combo attacks.
Masoner
- a tank of a character, he builds houses and walls to help solidify him and his team while apply shields by sacrificing his own health. He is a truly impenetrable armor.

[Hobby] Looking for testers to publish game

My friends made a game for a game jam on itch.io and I offered to use my Google Play access to publish the game for them and handle the legal stuff.

However Google Play has a policy of needing 20 testers opted-in for 14 days

Opted-in seems to be to just download the game and interact with it for a bit and it counts you as a opted-in tester

We have a list of testers but it's not at 20 yet and not everyone is opted-in, so we need people.

If you want to help out, send me your gmail that you use on your play store and I'll give you a link to download the game. We also have a small server for testers to give feedback but it's quite barren.

A little bit about my friends and their game, This was a combined effort between my best friend who's a beginner programmer and my artist friend to create this game for the game jam, they put so much effort and sweat into it to make it to the deadline and make it what they envisioned it to be. I'm happy to publish it for them! The game consists of you and your childhood friend going to a Halloween party, it has multiple endings which are all quirky in their own way. The game is not too long and doesn't have a lot of choices but it's great overall.

You can also check out the itch.io page https://marisolearl.itch.io/halloweenspice

Thanks in advance ❤

[Hobby] PHP/JS Developer looking to cross over to game dev and help your project

Hello, I’m a web developer with ~10 years experience. I’m looking to get my foot in the door of game development (maybe for personal projects, maybe for a career down the line).

I have a lot of experience working in teams, semi management projects, working on Kanban boards, in sprints, to hit deadlines and make deployments for the websites I’ve worked on. I use version control for deployments, I do code reviews etc.

I’m happy to help as a QA Tester, which I think with my general programming knowledge, experience working in Agile teams and passion for games I could be quite helpful.

I haven’t touched C++ since University 5 years ago but if you’re looking for help on the programming side I could maybe help too, I’m looking to learn and use my adjacent programming skills to cross over into games development.

I’ve flirted with the idea of starting my own little project, but I think playing a support role for someone who has an established project may be a smarter start for me?

If anyone has any suggestions, advice, or thinks I could be a valuable asset to their team/project, please let me know!

Looking for a Beginner Partner to Develop a Game

Looking for a Beginner Partner in game development

Hello there,

I'm a programmer that's new to gamedev, my languages are Python and Go. But I've only used them for work related reasons, nevertheless I've really gotten into gamedev and I wanted a partner to collaborate with that's also a beginner so we can accrue some experience together, learn as we go and build our portfolio.

I had in mind a simple project, an rpg, it's supposed to be in 2d style, simple party mechanics, looting, but well polished. The aim is to complete the project and have a unique, well done game in a couple of months.

The mechanics of the game are your typical rpg/final fantasy game with a gripping story and vast exploration, to keep the scope of the game under control, we're gonna try to make a linear game with a set story with minor choices along the way.

I'll take care of visual scripting and I can help expand the game using Javascript if needed, but I would really like help from other people with the art, tiles or inputs on my code.

The team I'm picturing is of 3 people since it's supposed to be an easy project and once we do finish the game and release it, whatever profit the game makes equally.

I'm going to be pretty serious about this project and would appreciate it if my partners are as well.

Id appreciate any feedback, and DM if you would like to know more about the project, and or about the outline of the story of the game, planned mechanics. I also plan to create a discord server if needed.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my request, I hope for an equal partnership where we could grow, learn and make a good game.

[RevShare] Looking for Level Artist in Unreal Engine

We’re currently a small team of 3 working on an ambitious stylized open world, sci-fi survival game with focus on exploration, resource gathering, base building, and third person shooter mechanics. Inspired by games like subnautica, no mans sky, astroneer, etc.

I’m relatively a generalist. my skills are primarily in design, BP, anims, ui, & some level design.

We have a tech artist generalist who’s good with materials, env asset creation, Houdini, some level design.

And finally, we have a hard surface / character modeler.

We’re very dedicated and consistent towards this project and we’re determined to reach our pitch/demo goals in the coming months.

And so, We’re looking for a level artist who can breathe some beauty and wonder into our alien planet.

We’ve done a majority of the landscape layout and design, and we have built a very powerful system using PCG which gets a good base down, and fills in a lot of the wilderness areas nicely,

but it could be a bit more ‘artist driven’ and could use some hand placing as well, especially in the specific content locations, along paths/roads, scenic overlook areas, etc.

XP with PCG is a big bonus, but not required, the system is very easy to use and edit.

We also have a lot of environment assets already, and we’re steadily pumping out more as we need them.

Here’s a link to a little bit of the progress and tests so far:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/17_zg2AuTN7JLSAZ7K2d1BDncL0IeuuX6ORMwiwZ5G7U/edit?usp=sharing

If you’re interested in joining our team and project, or have any questions, please reach me on discord, and include your portfolio Or any screenshots of your previous work.

My discord: GoatLicknGud

Thanks for checking out the post!

[Hobby][RevShare] Looking for a 2D artist / Animator co-founder for an educational software startup (Beginners are welcome)

About the project:

You can think of it as a platform with educational programs for schools. It's built using the Godot game engine. My aim is for it to be an alternative to traditional textbooks. Once downloaded, the program allows learners to access various programs as downloadable content. These programs contain all the necessary lessons needed to learn the subject. It's very gamified with achievements, points, interactions, animations, etc. There is a lot more to it but I would rather go over it in a call. The animations would be created in Godot to keep the file sizes to a minimum, its okay if you've never touched Godot before, you just need to be open to learning it. I'll handle all the programming.

What I'm looking for:

I’m mainly looking for someone that is interested in 2D Art and animation as there will be lots of that in the project. You don’t have to be good at it, even if you’re just interested in learning it that's fine. I'm not worried about your skill level at this stage. Just looking for someone that's a good fit with an interest in the animation side of things. I’d like to work on the project with someone to bounce different ideas around and to be accountable. Currently I am just a solo dev working on the project on the side.

What I can offer:

Although I haven't got the money to pay a wage, you would obviously get a % of the company. If you're a complete beginner I can also pay for equipment and resources that you might need to learn.

So if you're interested in co-founding a startup, have some extra time on your hands and are into 2D Art and Animation then please reach out.

Hey everyone!

My name is Eleftherios and I’m an ambient music producer with a growing portfolio, currently looking to work on game soundtracks. Some of you might have come across my ambient rework of Hide CS01, which trended in the dark fantasy genre on TikTok. I work across various styles but have found a real home in ambient soundscapes.

This year, I’ve focused on building my Spotify presence, reaching 190K monthly listeners. I’d love to bring my music, and even marketing expertise, to your project, whether for atmosphere, immersion, or emotional depth.

I’m primarily seeking paid projects, so if my music feels like a good fit for your game, I would love for you to DM me here on Reddit or reach out via email at Eleftheriosaudio@gmail.com

[REVSHARE] Looking for Unreal Engine 5 Developers for Mascot Horror Game (Only passionate/Serious people looking to start a team).

I'm looking for experienced Unreal Engine Developers for this exciting Mascot Horror Game, as I'm the only Unreal Developer in the team (And I just started learning Unreal).

About the Game:

I can't say much for now. All I can say is that this game was inspired by FNAF, Poppy Playtime, Indigo Park, among other games, and now, with the recent release of Finding Frankie, we also find it inspirating. For more details about the game story, you must join the team and agree with our NDA (NO PREVIEWS, ONLY AGREE IF YOU WANT TO WORK WITH US!).

What we are looking for:

Unreal Engine 5 developers who can cover some (or most) of the areas related to Unreal in which I don't have much experience, like for example,; cinematics, optimization, and any other area outside implementation and level design (I also don't know much about building levels in Unreal as I am a Unity dev and there's so much different things and steps to have in mind).

Our Team:

The team is composed by:

  • 3D Modelers x4
  • Artist/Designers x4
  • Musicians / Soun Designers x4
  • Writers x2
  • Unreal Developer (BP Coder Mostly) x1

My actual contribution to the project:

I'm the only engine developer in the team actually. I work together/help the writers to build the story. I do everything related to the engine. All the implementation from the GDD/game concept/ides to the game, etc... I also try to make some soundtracks for the game from time to time, as well as other resources (Art, 3D Models, Etc...).

My previous work:

Even thought I have not yet published any games by myself, here's some of my previous "work"/games I'm still developing as a solo dev, including an actual published game I work for.

Workflow:

These are the apps we use for better workflow/organization:

  • Discord.
  • Trello.
  • Drive.

Project Goal:

We are first aiming for a small DEMO, showcasing some of the stuff that will be later added to the full game.

Once the full game is in development, it will work the next way:

  • The game will work as chapter based, mostly so we can keep developing the game as people play it and so we have more time to sort things out.
  • The DEMO will last an hour of gameplay or so, (depending on the player this will take more or less, but the base duration of the DEMO will be an hour).

More info about the project:

This project has been through a lot. Also a lot of changes, a lot of people that came, leaved and left me alone working on my own again. I started this project because I wanted to finally be part of something big, and because I wanted to make my own team. I've been a solo dev for 5 years now, and I finally realized how important it is to have a team that backs you up.

Actual project state/progress:

So far I managed to learn some Unreal Engine 5 by my own hand in the last days. In this time, I've been working on a main zone to test how the game would look like, since originally we were going to do it in Unity (And I actually made some stuff there too). Since I had no previous experience with Unreal Engine 5 nor blueprints, I'm using Horror Engine Framework to help me fasten up the development of the preview (and what will be the game in a future). So far Horror Engine is great and we plan on using it for the game, by just editing a few things, adding some more and that. I can say that for now we are close to having finished the first steps for the DEMO, the first character sheets and models, and even a first zone/map of what will be the place.

RevShare Conditions:

You will be paid for your work with the money that the project makes when released. No beforehand payments, only money from Sellings/CrowdFunding!

If you are interested in joining this exciting project, and create a Game Dev Team, please add me on Discord: skythedragon_official (ID: 693849801921527910).

And make sure to join the development server: https://www.discord.gg/Sd7CGVYgAC

*AN NDA IS REQUIRED TO BE AGREED WITH IN ORDER TO JOIN THE TEAM.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Looking forward to collaborate with you!

[Rev Share, Blender] Seeking 3D Keyframe Animator for ‘The Wild Blue’ Sci-Fi Comedy Series

Hello!

I am building a team to turn my slice-of-life sci-fi comedy web comic, "The Wild Blue" into a 3D animated series. Our previous keyframe animator has accepted a gamedev job and won't be able to continue with the project, so we're looking for someone to pick up his work where he left off. There is already a secondary animator who will work with you, but will primarily be in charge of in-between frames. We'll be using Blender primarily for all 3D aspects of the production.

The project uses character models from VRoid Studio, which automatically rigs the characters, but custom rigging maybe required, depending on what's needed for a scene. We'll be using a very simple method of animation inspired by Max G's Brain Dump, with blank character faces that will be added in 2D afterward. Our aim is to simplify the animation process to maximize efficiency so that we're able to release episodes relatively frequently. Animation will be at 12FPS and at 1920x1080 resolution.

I don't have the resources to hire a team outright at the moment, so, at least to start out, we'll be working under a revenue share agreement where any money made is split amongst all contributors. Our current goal is making a short scene as a proof of concept for a crowdfunding campaign, so ideally, this one scene will be the only unpaid work that will be required. There is a rough breakdown of which roles will be receiving what cut of any revenue, but a few positions have been added recently and it needs to be updated.

The original scene we're working on is 2 minutes and 25 seconds in length, it has a completed storyboard to work off of, and the previous animator has already blocked out about 50-60% of the scene.

The comic this will be based on already has a modest following, with enough support on Patreon that I'm able to do it as my full-time job. On top of the fact that the audience for an animated series is certainly quite a bit larger than that of the comparatively niche medium of web comics, so I'm confident that we would be able to get the project making decent profit before too long.

I'm just the guy that makes comic we'll be adapting, so I don't have much experience directing this kind of a project, so I'll occasionally be looking to you for insight on how long things are expected to take, what is realistic, how things can run more efficiently, etc, and there may be things that slip through the cracks early on as I find my footing as a director and we establish a routine as a team. But I'm always open to feedback and I'm always looking to improve and do right by the people who are so generous to give their time to this project.

You can take a look at the comic for reference here.

And just as a content warning for those with reservations: the comic being adapted has sparse elements of violence, sexual themes and dialogue, plot lines involving LGBT themes, and anthropomorphic characters, but none of these elements are the focus of the story. If you find any of this offensive, this project may not be for you.

[Hobby] composer looking to score a project! (free)

Hi everyone!

so recently ive been dreaming of scoring a game after being absolutely fascinated reading "A Composer′s Guide to Game Music" by Winifred Phillips (Composer of God of war, The Sims, Assassins creed and more!).

I just loved how much thought goes into making the music work so effortlessly with the game as a whole to create such an immersive experience! be it the subtle transitions, the ways themes are reused for characters in different situations, or the subtle ways psychology influences how a person will even experience the music.. game music is not just a stand alone bunch of tracks!

Musically I grew up listening to hip hop, pop, and metal and since then ive come to appreciate all styles - even all the dead folk! lol, there really is no bad music for me, if your open to it all you can learn so much! and this has served me well as a professional musician.

Below ive shared a link to some recent snippets of pieces Ive been scoring. Ive been on a real melodic orchestral writing kick lately so this is mostly what youll hear, but rest assured I can do most styles.. just ask! I just want to mention - I’m still building experience with programs relevant to the industry, but I'm eager to learn and adapt as needed. If my style resonates with you and you’re open to working together, let’s chat and see what we can create!

Drop me a DM, and Ill look forward to hearing about your project!

my demo reel: https://youtu.be/RsiKvv9cTOM

edit: as a commenter pointed out - in the demo reel AI images are used to simply give a "backdrop" to the listening experience, but absolutely NO AI music is used, its all original music by myself. If anyone would like further proof I can send also, thank you.
