[REVSHARE] a Small Game Studio or Co-Founder for an Innovative Indie Hack-and-Slash ARPG - Equity Opportunities

Hello,
I'm a Junior Web Developer venturing into the gaming industry with a strong vision for a new indie hack-and-slash RPG project codenamed "C2024." This game aims to combine intricate RPG mechanics with a unique dual-world setting, dynamically responding to player choices through advanced technology. The engine specifics are open for collaboration, as we aim to select the best fit for our dynamic gameplay needs.

Vision for "C2024":

  • Dual-world Dynamics: Players will navigate between a vibrant fantasy world and a darker, technology-driven realm, each influencing gameplay distinctly.
  • Hack-and-Slash Gameplay: Intense action and combat dynamics, integrated with AI-driven questing, skill attribute balancing, and a responsive feedback system, designed to adapt fluidly to player actions.
  • Player-Driven Narrative: Unlike traditional RPGs, "C2024" will empower players to control the narrative and directly impact the world through their choices and actions.

Entering the gaming industry from a web development background has equipped me with essential tech skills and project management experience. I am now seeking a co-founder who has extensive experience in game design, particularly in creating immersive hack-and-slash experiences.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in game design, especially in hack-and-slash RPGs.
  • Flexibility in working with various game development engines and tools.
  • A passion for iconic games like Ragnarok Online, Final Fantasy VII, Diablo, and Path of Exile.

Location: This is a remote opportunity, welcoming talent from anywhere in the world.

Compensation: While there is no initial budget for salaries, significant equity shares in the project are available, with potential for long-term profit-sharing as we develop and monetize the game.

If you're interested in co-founding an innovative hack-and-slash RPG project and share a passion for game development that breaks new ground, please PM me or connect on Discord at noex4313. Let’s make gaming history together!

[Hobby/RevShare] 3D Character Modelers Wanted for Multiplayer Arena Action Game

Greetings! I'm a general modeler/animator, with experience in the industry and with developing an indie game or two myself; what I'm seeking are fellow character and environmental modelers who are looking to sharpen their skills. I currently have an IP that I wish to potentially make into a game.

This is intended to be a game involving both shooting and swordplay. If you've ever heard of:

  • GunZ: The Duel
  • S4 League
  • Anarchy Reigns

or other such games, you've got a general idea of what we're going for here. The idea is smooth and fast combat with heavy impact. The programmer currently on board is skilled in this element and has a prior codebase to pull from, allowing us to focus on the artistic elements early. Examples of the programming work done are https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfeY6H-hSOQ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbLhOBLbwGs, wherein we will be using this prior work as a base in Unity. Progress is coming along on that front.

Character concept art and limited environmental concepts are available on request. As this is intended to be simply a POC, I'm not worried about anything beyond the main four characters' models and some props at the moment. It's overall intended to be a somewhat anime and cartoonish style. Any modeling software is welcome; though Blender and Maya is what most will go through.

After the POC is done, we can discuss whether we worked well together, if the POC came out well, and if we want to continue on this path. Should we, then from there we can discuss payment plans and whatnot.

If you are interested or otherwise have any questions about the project or resources available, please, reach me either via PM here, or DM on Discord at PFlare#8230. I'd love to see your portfolio. Thank you for your time!

[paid] want to build a prototype with any kind of frontend (web / app) 2d gacha game

Hello,

i am backend dev by trade and looking for someone who can help me with the frontend side of things. I would provide an API / backend.

You dont have to be an artist, goal is to have a prototype to iterate on. No art involved, except placeholders

As mentioned in the title, its about a 2d gatcha game, i think web technologies would be the best fit because the ui will be all about text, tables, drag and drop and buttons but i am open for anything practical tbh

as this is paid and i am not trying to convince to you to work for free ill not bore you with game design details but there are no secrets and i will answer any questions you might have (in comments or PM). But non the less a little bit of concept to set the stage

in this gacha you can collect cards with random content, based on the contents your "card" will have different attributes. On of this attribute is also the element , based after real world atom each elements represents a configuration of electrons and is able to form a bond with other atoms resulting in compounds altering and enhancing traits of the original single atoms. The idea is to have 256 different elements / atom with different configurations resulting in .. a lot of different combinations.

prototype will involve things like:

  • draw new "cards"
  • manage your cards
  • assemble / manage a team of 5 cards
  • fight other teams of 5 (result will just be a text battle log)

what this game is not and never will be

  • bad stuff that i cannot mention here because this post will be removed by automod ...

(Rev Share) (Hobby) Director and Sound Designer looking to start a team!

Hey all, my name is Shanks and I am a sound designer wanting to start a team for a video game! I have worked on games in the past, but none of them have ever been released sadly. I was in a game jam in 2020, which is the only game I have worked on that has reached the web. I am now looking to start a team for an rpg style game!

Though I am a sound designer by trade, I am also a great leader, and concept designer. I am looking for everything else! Programmers, voice actors, writers, artists, other sound designers, designers, and the like are all welcome! I hope to have a decently sized team, as the game I would like to make might be pretty big!

The game I wish to make is an rpg with a vast leveling system in a fantasy setting. I want there to be fully voiced characters, and an open world with things to actually do in it! If that sounds like a fun project for you, keep reading! That all being said, if we as a team decide to go somewhere else with our game, then that is fine by me! I just wish to make something enjoyable to the right player base!

To contact me, message me here on reddit, or on discord at longshanks1222. If you have any questions about joining, what we still need, or anything like that, then feel free to contact me

Thanks for your time!

Help Needed

I am trying with everything I have to break into the gaming industry at the worst timing to get into the gaming industry!

I am in need of some advice or some directions, I have finished university from game design back in 2022. I have been working on solo projects (I have one project with others in a game jam), my passion within the gaming industry is: Level design (Grey boxing, blackouts, mapping) and Narrative design (Dialogues, Mission design). I have applied for a ridiculous amount of jobs within the UK and Europe. I have had a few interviews with one where I past the test and met the team and still got rejected last minute.

I have worked in Auto desk Maya and substance painter: Make props.

Worked in photoshop for mapping out levels and concept ideas.

Project management I tend to use HacknPlan, Miroboards.

For narrative design I use Articy draft and Twine.

I also have a website set up and LinkedIn page.

I have worked in Unreal 4/5 and Unity.

My question is what should I be doing more of? I'm basically trying to network and find people who can steer me in the right direction as it's time to get into the field.

Also I would like to connect with anyone people in the industry and people who are wanting to join the industry. I think knowing and being in communication with different people can help both of us.

All comments will help in some way and I do appreciate the advice given.

Thank you for reading (I hope the question doesn't break the rules)

Travel App Team needed

Drawing from my extensive background in project management and marketing, I have been nurturing a groundbreaking concept over the past year that promises to transform the travel experience. This idea is fueled by the ambition to utilize technology to streamline the process of discovering events and activities, enabling travelers to seamlessly immerse themselves in the richness of their chosen destinations without the traditional hassle of sifting through countless online resources.

At the heart of this venture is a vision to redefine travel planning with an intuitive platform that resonates with the unique preferences and needs of each user, integrating a vast array of information into a simplified, user-centric interface. As this project is in its embryonic stage, the primary focus is directed towards evaluating its viability and the technological framework required to bring this concept to fruition.

Given my professional journey in steering projects from conception to successful execution and my prowess in crafting compelling marketing strategies, I am invigorated by the prospect of developing a solution that stands to redefine the paradigm of travel planning. However, as the blueprint of this concept is still being delineated, I am keen on forging partnerships with individuals who harbor a passion for travel and innovation. Whether your expertise lies in development, design, or any other domain that could be pivotal in breathing life into this vision, your contribution could be instrumental.

I am mindful of keeping the intricacies of this project under wraps at this juncture to safeguard its uniqueness. If the idea of pioneering a novel solution in the travel industry excites you and you are inclined towards a collaborative venture that challenges the status quo, I encourage you to connect with me. Let us embark on this journey to materialize a vision that could potentially reshape the way we explore the world, making it more accessible, enjoyable, and enriching for travelers everywhere.

[HOBBY] Experienced Sound Designer (FIFA, MTV, Nike) looking for in-development indie games - willing to exchange sound design services for learning about audio implementation in game engines (UE, Unity)

Hey! I'm Ben. I'm a sound designer with 4+ years' experience designing sounds for clients including FIFA, MTV, Nike and PUMA who is now looking to transition into game audio!

Game audio reel here: REEL -- Resume/CV here: Resume/CV -- FIFA 2022 Project: s://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYsi5QuOJNE

I am trying to develop my audio implementation skills. Whilst I have a good working knowledge of audio middleware Wwise, I have a lot to learn when it comes to working with game engines. So I figure the best way to develop my knowledge here is to work with a game dev. With this in mind I'd like to offer my services as a sound designer to an in-development indie game (preferably in UE as I have less experience here, but happy to do a Unity project too) in exchange for helping out with and learning about how my sounds are implemented into the game engine. Sound good? Get in touch via DM on Reddit or via my email: ben@offgrid.studio :)

[HOBBY] Writer wanted for a game dev partnership

Hey, I'm ZomboMau and I'm an amateur game dev in need of a writer.

Basics: Currently, I work in UE5 and am interested in creating horror/narrative-based games. I think I'm pretty good at making character models and building environments, but when it comes to writing, I know I'm not good at all (I am somewhat okay at worldbuilding, but with actually trying to write a story, I faceplant and fail). So, I'd like to team up with a writer who also wants to make games.

Skills: The programs I use are...

  • Blender: I use Blender to create all of the things I can't find in marketplaces. If I want a remote control, but can't find one in the ArtStation/Epic martketplace that fits what I wanted, I'll make it myself. Same goes for any other type of prop/thing I'd need to make a game.
  • CC4: I use Character Creator 4 to make all of my character models. Be they the protagonist or antagonist, they will be made with CC4.
  • ZBrush: I use ZBrush for sculpting the faces of my models and making the normal maps for the model's faces. Also sometimes use it to alter to model's body shapes so they fit their clothing a specific way.

I have around 5 years of experience in digital art but am still trying to improve my work.

What I'll Do: I'll provide character models, environments, props, and some worldbuilding ideas for you to create a story with.

What You'll Do: You'll create the story that the game will be based around. Things like objectives, plot, characters, twists, etcetera will be done by you (with help from me, if needed).

My basic thoughts about this are that we'll create games using both of our ideas. If I have an idea for a game set in space with an evil alien as the villain, we can create that. On the other hand, if you have an idea about a haunted abattoir with the ghost of a butcher hunting down the PC, we can also create that game too.

Sorry if this is unusual/odd. I just want to make games.

If you're interested, leave a comment below or DM me. :]

Potential video game testing business poll

(I’m not sure what flair to us) I am a high school senior who is attempting to create a made-up business for my economics class final (that I may or may not develop into a real business). This is a poll to help me figure out about how profitable it could be, if at all.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScpx25hOYVcf9VBidiCoTu93m-usjkdHGXL9ADl3TUxbmpPGw/viewform?usp=sf_link

now I am simply writing a bunch of random words to meet the minimum word count of 250 for this subreddit, I am hoping that this doesn’t get me banned for trying to get around the limitation because this post doesn‘t really need 250 words to properly convey the point of this situation, as it is rather self explanatory and simple. I am not keeping track of how many words I am adding to this post, so I’m just hoping that I don’t undershoot it by a single word. So now I guess that I will just reiterate that I am a high school student in the data gathering phase of my Econ final to make a business and I hope that I’m not breaking any rules on this subreddit. As I stated earlier this may or may not develop into a business, if of course there is any need of it, there very well might not be, but it would be nice, I thank you for any time that you waste while answering any of my questions. I’m just guessing that this is about 250 words now, so thank you if you read this, I’m sorry if I’m breaking any rules, and I hope that I get a response from you to help with my final.

Looking for a team for a heart project

Greetings everyone

I'll get straigh to the point. I'm an aspiring game developer, as well as a hobby author and i want to put all my knowledge and already done work into one big project, an own video game. But i know that my capacities are limited, so i'm looking for like minded people to make a team together.

Whether you are an artist (pixel artist would be best but open for everything), actual game dev, musician or just another aspiring game dev, i'd love to team up with you to create something t´great.

Unfortunately my situation makes it impossible for me to pay anyone, so this would all be more like a hobby fun project than actual labor, though i'm looking forward to invest a lot of time into this project.

I believe that by working together we can learn from each other and live out our vreativity in this project, to make a little dream of ours coem true.

When it comes to game dev, i'm only as far as knowing a bit of game maker, though the end goal would be to be able to use unity or unreal engine.

This whole thing would require a lot of patience sicne there is no half finished game to start off from, it's really all from scratch and almost zero in terms of coding experience and that kinda stuff. In mind is an undertale like rpg with lots of game mechanics and an own touch of Meta storytelling (i've been practicing that shit) so if that appeals particularly, one reason more to join in.

BTW: Can speak german too, from germany

I guess that's about it, so if you are interested in making this coem to reality and join the team, hop in.

[RevShare] Frozen Sword Games is Looking for an Unreal Engine Combat Designer/Blueprinter for a 3D BeatEmUp, Lane Based RPG.

Frozen Sword Games is looking for an Unreal Engine Combat Designer/Blueprinter that can create an interesting and engaging combat system for our 3D BeatEmUp game.

Check out some of our current progress: https://streamable.com/3yiepl

The Game: A 1-3 player co-op, SideScroller, Beat Em Up, with RPG elements where players will be able to pick a class that suits their playstyle, increase their power by leveling up, learning new skills and obtaining better gear. It will utilize a lane system for movement in the Y axis (similar to Viking Squad). This lends itself to interesting mechanics and lessens some of the positioning confusion that can happen with traditional beat em ups. A lot of inspiration from Castle Crashers, Streets of Rage and Viking Squad.

The Team:

  • 1x UE Tech Designer (Myself)
  • 1x 3D Prop/Environment Artist
  • 1x Composer
  • 1x Sound Designer
  • 2x UX/UI Designer
  • 2x Narrative Designer
  • 1x Marketing/Community Manager
  • 1x Level Designer
  • 1x QA
  • 1x Animator

Tech Stack:

  • UE5
  • Perforce
  • Jenkins (CI/CD)
  • Google Drive
  • Discord
  • Steam

The Plan: We're planning to release a demo with 4 levels and 1 Boss fight on Steam this summer and attempt to get funding at the same time. I've just registered the business and have contracts ready to go. We're all working hard to make this thing a success however since this is a rev share project its understood that it won't be anyone's first priority. I've been putting in 20-40 hours a week on it and will continue to do so until its as polished as possible.

My Experience: I graduated as Valedictorian from Full Sail's Game Design degree in 2019 and worked at a major AAA studio for ~5 years as IT/Dev Ops. I've run many teams for various scoped projects and have released a game previously on Steam. Please check out my itch.io page here: https://hexnite.itch.io/ to see some of my work.

Feel free to contact me on here or on Discord at hexnite if you're interested.

looking for a programmer for a quick mobile (pc maybe) game

What can i do:

  • 3d modeling
  • Stylized texturing
  • Animation
  • Level design
  • Average knowledge of unity

Some of my old stylized work that I had https://imgur.com/a/eLHoRfN
What might the game look like https://imgur.com/a/m4XGxAm (web images I found that fit the theme)
Ive also have worked on small other games before so I have a bit experience

What im looking for:

A Programmer who also knows how to use unity and its features and someone who I can work with for the entirety of the game, from small features to level design

Stuff you might be doing:

Fixing or making a new system for the camera and ball movement/physics
changing levels, making different powerups work, main menu and other UI buttons, switching or selecting levels etc...

Im expecting the development to last 1-3 months max wouldn't mind if it lasted longer I got a lot of time to spare, I can put 5h per day on this project

Game theme: Stylized. Going for a Putt Party theme but the levels can be filled with more details like grass, sand, water, more unique levels like rooftops, space...etc. and poweruls

[Hobby][RevShare] In search of a couple people looking to contribute to a Survival/Exploration project/offer some guidance.

Hello everyone!

Firstly, if you clicked on this and are reading it, I appreciate you taking the time and investing the interest. I'm in search of an Unreal Engine developer and a 3D artist. For the dev, confidence with UI would be great, as it's where I'm finding I struggle the most, as for the artist, currently the need is for rigged models and animations. I'll mention right off the bat this is a revenue share project, and while I'd love some full time help, I know I can't expect as such. I've been eyeing this sub for a little while and I know how all these rev share posts usually go, so I'm hoping I can provide a little bit more info or clarity than those. And I'm open to any advice or criticisms, truly, for me this isn't a money grab or some try to make the next big thing project.

Now, a bit about me and the project. I'm not a game dev, like many of these posts generally go, I'll be honest. My professional experience involves 6 years as a sales manager doing primarily B2B wholesale. I hated the job, but I was young and directionless and it paid extremely well. I eventually left that job to pursue a genuine interest of mine, logistics, where I have spent the last 4+ years. I know logistics is a bit of a broad term, but during this time I've found myself in positions handling many different aspects of supply chain from raw materials procurement to on site inventory management. And while I loved the job, I needed a break. I had been working since immediately out of high school, pulling 10+ hour days for over a decade + college early on. I married my high school sweet heart and we had 2 kids in our early 20s and it felt like I kinda speed ran through my 20s. I never had the time to pursue genuine passions or hobbies or really be myself. Now, my wife has found herself in a position where she can support us on her own, and she has basically forced me to quit my job and take some time for myself, though really I didn't take much convincing, and I actually knew exactly what I wanted to do.

I've been a gamer since I was like 7, and got into computers and tech shortly after, but my family was poor growing up, so my access was limited, otherwise I have no doubt I would have gotten into coding. For years now I've had this idea in my head for a game, and I have on occasion tried to bring it to life at least in some aspect with unreal engine, but I could never devote the time and if I'm being honest, the task seemed too daunting. But with my current situation I find myself tackling it with an unbridled enthusiasm. For the last couple weeks I have been neck deep in unreal, blender and youtube tutorials spending an unhealthy amount of time on it actually. But the joy I have gotten from even simple things like animations blending together through state machines, or UI bars updating is unparalleled.

What I'm working on is primarily going to be a Survival/Exploration game with a heavy emphasis on crisp, fluid combat. 1-4 player co-op, no building or crafting, no armor or weapons, but it will have some RPG elements such as levels and stats and a slightly complex mechanic which I'd like to keep to myself and any future team for now. Which is why well rigged models, clean animations and an intuitive/clean UI is what I'm looking for. My plan for this project is as follows:

  1. Create a functional prototype with core mechanics and features to showcase the idea.
  2. Recruit more talented help to flesh out and optimize what I've worked on. (we are between 1 and 2)
  3. With new help, create a small section of the map, finalize art style and mechanics, create a small slice of the game with 50/50 free/bought assets and original/modified assets but showcasing at least 90% of final features.
  4. Use slice of game to create trailer, gameplay videos etc, create kickstarter for project or attempt to acquire funding.
  5. If kickstarter succeeds or funds are generated, use funds to pay current help and hire a few additional hands to finalize asset creation, optimize mechanics and complete the game.

While this is a "Hobby" project, I've never been the kind to half ass anything which is why I've been at this full time, at times pulling 12 hours because I genuinely feel I can do this. My only issue is I'm not artistic at all and I can devote all the time in the world to gameplay and mechanics but blender and photoshop hurt my brain. For anyone still reading, I'm not expecting this amount of commitment from you. In fact I'm expecting very little, from the artist, just some assets and animations here and there to help me flesh out things like attacks and abilities, for the dev, just look over code and tell me how to clean up my undoubtedly shitty 30 nodes that could actually be 5 and an event dispatcher, help me with multiplayer replication and help design UI. For anyone that does want to join the project, I will have a collaborators agreement drawn up by a lawyer and notarized. I am not going to take a cent from any funds raised until the game is released, those funds will be purely to pay collaborators, as well as percentages of profit or set amounts, whichever is greater. I apologize if in terms of the game itself I'm being a little vague, but truth be told I'm just being cautious, it may just be a bit of a Baader–Meinhof situation, but I've seen a lot of people talking about concepts or ideas for a game they wish were brought to life that are extremely close to what I'm working on. If you've got this far, I appreciate it, if you have suggestions, advice or criticisms on my approach I also appreciate it. This whole thing is a learning experience for me, I'm not looking for someone to do it all for me, just some guidance and a helping hand here and there and who knows what we'll have in a year's time.

[HOBBY] (Level) Designer/Ideas on how to improve person!

Project Name: Bushy Man
Check out our game progression on our twitter: https://twitter.com/bushymangame

Project Description: Hey! I'm creating a 3D platformer/collectathon as a passion project together with a tiny team. The game is a 3D platformer/collectathon based/inspired of of the older era games such as Banjo-Kazooie, Spyro, Mario, etc etc. The game itself is in a super cartoony and playful style. We're slowly entering the 'levels' part of our game and it's a bit of a grey area.

As of right now i'm doing all the art and level designing by myself and the others are doing all the technical stuff such as mechanics coding, technical art, music. You know all the stuff that makes the game flare!

I've been getting a bit stuck on the level design, but also cool ideas on how to fill up an area. So i'm just gonna throw a post out there and we'll see where this is going. But i'm simply looking for someone or maybe even multiple people, who have a little bit of knowledge in the level design aspect. Sometimes it's good to get a fresh look on things i've been constantly busy on.

I notice that a fresh pair of eyes never hurts to have. Small or big ideas, feedback is always welcome since it's just handy to have! If you have 2D skills (or 3D) is a big plus, but technical skills on limits and foreseeable problems is also extremely helpful!

If anyone is interested please dm me on Reddit or Discord (LordTimmy)
I'd love have someone like you who could maybe give cool ideas! You're always welcome to help out <3

I do want to disclose this project is for hobby so i won't be able to pay anyone sadly :(

[Rev-share/Hobby] Looking for teammates to make a 'Hearts-like' game

About me:
I've been making small games and prototypes in Unity for a little over 4 years now. Mostly hobby projects but I want to take on something larger. I'm a programmer. I've dabbled in writing and level design, but they're not my specialties. I've tried on different occasions to work on games like this solo, but I've just had to face the fact that I'm not good at retaining all the skills I would need to finish a project this big [Namely the artistic skills]. One of the things that inspired me to try and take this on is my full-time job as a Librarian in my city. I've learned a lot about its history throughout the years and began to fall back in love with it. So, I want to make a game that celebrates it since it tends to get shafted in the media.

About the game:
TLDR: The game is a hearts-like love letter to 90s-00s urban America for 'the culture'.

Links to some early documentation and the story docs
"One pager" that started the idea

Story Process sheet

Last attempt. I made a prototype geared towards mobile.

Gameplay:
The gameplay takes direct inspiration from KH2 and other hack-and-slash RPGs as well as games like Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero. The standard focus is on close-range combos and taking on a bunch of enemies at once. It's the satisfaction of walking into a room and knowing that you can beat up everyone and then proceed to do so.
Instead of having their allies with them at all times, players assign Unions/Summons at certain points that call allies to perform one of two assists on a cooldown. The player also has access to Techs which can be spells or abilities the player can use at any time also with a short cooldown.
Characters can unlock more abilities and companions as the story progresses and they proceed to level up.

plot synopsis:
Players explore the water-filled city of post-earthquake Memphis, connected by makeshift bridges. The enigmatic pyramid in The Weird Zone grants magical powers. Main characters Amara, Kasia, and Cameron face challenges, uncover lore, and confront Zombie Elvis and his strange minions.

The Team Currently:

The current team is the writer who wrote our story process sheet, a musician, and myself.

What we're currently looking for:

Concept Artist

3D artist/modeler

UI/UX designer

[FOR HIRE] 2D artist - Steam Capsule/Cover

Hey
I am a 2D artist specialized in creating key arts and promotional materials for games.
My work is done with vector, which means I can create pieces that adapt to various sizes without loss of quality. Make your project stand out on platforms with eye-catching illustrations.

If you need someone who delivers quickly and I am always available to meet the needs of your project that are within my reach.
I can make portraits, covers, characters, model sheets, expressions, cards, logos and more.
check my previous works here where some games are already running and if you want to see a greater variation of works you can see it here too

8 Bit FPS RPG Demo

Hey, my name is Marcus. I'm from a collective called Guttersnipe Interactive. A new coalition of people trying to get their names out there in various forms of media. We're looking to make a demo for an 8-bit FPS fantasy RPG in the style of Tales of Phantasia, just with a first-person twist. We have writers, a composer, and a programmer. We're specifically looking for artists and modelers. We're a relatively small team, so we don't want to take in everybody, so if you're at all interested, please send a resume with an email where we can contact you.

Although we don't fully have the story or anything fully ironed out, we definitely know the direction we want to go with it. A lot of the music is inspired by a combination of the Tales series and the 8-bit style of Undertale. Although it's in a first-person perspective, all the assets: the locations, characters, voice acting, music, etc. would be 8-bit. Whether that means pixelated art or bit-crushed music, it would all have a consistent style. Set in the fictional fantasy world of Gundrim, you can choose to play as different characters with different abilities.

For now, we're going to have AI control the rest of your party, but in time we may be adding multiplayer. For now, however, we're just looking to craft a demo to show off. So if anything you've read interests you, please feel free to DM me with your resume and an email to reach you at! Thanks all.

[Hobby/RevShare/Paid] Music Composer looking for Final Fantasy-esque project

Hello fellow creators! My name is John, and I am a music composer looking to join a team of creators to make a video game like Final Fantasy. Out of all the games I ever played, the Final Fantasy games left the biggest mark on me. The combination of story, music, art, and pure magic really sets them apart in my opinion. I find myself wishing the series would go on and on and on, perhaps even building further in the direction of specific releases (FF8, FF10, and FF13 in particular <3).

I have the ability to write electronic based, yet also orchestral, which makes for an incredible fusion. Not only that, it allows my music to complement a video game/story that itself has to do with two different worlds. Orchestra expressing perhaps the heart, convention, tradition, and electronic expressing perhaps moreso the mind, the future, technology, etc.

I am currently in KU's School of Music, but the semester is ending and I will have all summer to really put in some great time on a project.

Above all - I want to use my music to help a team of other greatly talented and skilled creators create a magical, high quality video game where we tell an amazing story that grips the hearts of people.

https://soundcloud.com/feraluce

Above is my soundcloud showcasing my past 7 years of writing.

https://on.soundcloud.com/qtZKbWJ1kt6xsSPs8

^^Here is a private link to my latest track I have been writing. Although unfinished, I feel like it showcases the peak of my abilities thus far in my journey.

Look forward to hearing from you guys!

-John

[Hobby/RevShare] I am looking for a team to help design a board game project

Hello, my name is Drake McCurdy and I am looking for skilled people to help make my dream project a reality.

Tales of Astaria is a series of six games, three fantasy and three science fiction. Each game can be played stand alone or as part of a grand campaign. Tales of Astaria is a living system where the games that are released will connect into eachother seemlessly either through tools to give quests or as a progression of wealth and power from one to the next.

Merchants fortune the first game in the series is a rpg/skirmish game where players will take on the role of a ships captain, they will hire a begining crew and officer and set sail on a ramshackle small ship. As they complete quests and gain fame the players can upgrade to bigger and bigger ships before getting their first airship no longer issolated to cities and kingdoms that they can connect to via the sea. Players can then gain more and more riches. Notable paths players can take is the merchant path, pirate path, the mercany path, or pledging you're ship to one kingdom in particular and being part of its navy.

What I require:

1 3d Artists

1 2d Artists

1 other Story writer (I will be helping here)

1 Unreal Developer who is profiecent in unreal blueprints

1 Website Designer

What I hope

This game is a hybrid between actual play on a table and digital play on the computer(maybe console in the future...see how it goes)

On the website will be slimmed down methods of quick character customizion and quest creation so they can be accessed from anywhere. Where people can order stls of their creations for print.

A living map of the game where players can see all that is currently available to them as new towns/cities/kindgoms are formed and what kind of amenities they have in those cities.

For the tools and models to be customizable so even if I do not have the same team going forward that the art is able to be replicated easily across the franchise and easy to update and maintain.

While i hope for the same team moving through out the franchise I have to plan ahead and as much as possible.

Seeking Front-End Talent: Join Our Startup Team!

Hello everyone. My name is Berkcan, and I'm (23M) studying Industrial Engineering. My team and I have decided to start a startup, and the process has become more serious than we anticipated. Currently, we have some gaps in our team, so in short, we are looking for team members. First, let me introduce my role and my team.

1- Backend Department: We have 2 Software Engineers with an average of 1 year of work experience. Previously, one of our team members and I developed and sold an automation integration application for a textile factory. One of our team members also has one year of experience in C# and Flutter.

2- Social Media Manager: Our social media team consists of one person with 2 years of experience.

3- Graphic Design Department: Our graphic design team consists of two people, both with over 3 years of experience. One specializes in Adobe Illustrator, while the other is proficient in Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

4- Industry Department: One of my responsibilities is to create workflows and manage the process. Additionally, I conduct market research, competitive analysis, optimal pricing calculations, and break-even analysis. I have actively worked on production planning, stock management, and cost analysis for 4 months in a dynamic company, and I also have 2 months of experience in Data Science within the same company.

5- Frontend Team ( :( We are looking for team members here.)

I believe I've introduced myself and my team briefly. Before starting the project, we prepared a short survey (18 questions) asking, "Is the process we solve and the innovation we bring a process that people need?" 58% of the 100+ participants identified a problem, and 80% have hesitated to try due to biased perceptions or bad experiences with these problems. Participants range from 17 to 54 years old and have different cultural backgrounds, yet they tend to give the same answers because the obstacle we address is significant for people regardless of culture or region.

The survey also revealed that while every innovation creates new problems, when we asked how much people are bothered by the remaining problems after a major obstacle is removed compared to the chaos in the initial process, the remaining problems are deemed unacceptable as problems compared to the initial chaos. Although our project is not as complex and complicated as anticipated, we are looking for a "front-end" team member. Our requirements are briefly:

  • Adaptability to teamwork.

  • Respect for cultural and personal differences.

  • Proficiency in front-end development (Experience is not necessary; they will gain experience with us.)

  • Preferably skilled in JavaScript and proficient in HTML/CSS technologies.

  • Possessing unique thinking ability and discipline.

  • Punctuality in attending meetings and willingness to contribute to the assigned tasks.

  • Eagerness for research and learning.

We are looking for team members. We are more excited than you are. We want to gain real-life experience together by completing a team project, and if we are satisfied with each other, we want to have you permanently among us! Thank you in advance for your participation.
