Recently i bought an Iphone through fb market after getting their whatsapp no. We video call and they show me some iphone (btw they are selling second hand iphone as they said). I told them i will purchase the iphone 13 with 128 gb which they told it was 20k and after i paid 300 rupee as advance they told me it will arrive after 5-6 days. But i was hesitant about buying as i didn't really trusted them but i took the risk. And i know i was very gullible for trusting a complete stranger through online but i just thought to myself maybe there might be some good people and i was very much wrong. When the phone arrived it is the thing i was scared to be true and yes it was none other than iphone clone. I learn a lesson the hard way but is there no way of me getting my money back.

So, I matched with a girl on Bumble few weeks back and one day, we decided to meet. Now, this is from December.

Post that, she spams my WhatsApp saying that she needed a place to stay, she could have been in trouble or something. And then came exactly 9 voice notes indicating what kind of jerk I am, and I should be respecting women and be concerned about their safety in the city.

So my question, consent works both ways, I guess?

Soooo I’m a student and I do cinematography and photography and also bits and pieces of voice over. I am not a professional but have won good amount of awards and gotten recognition.

I’ve been to the ADTT in Hari Nagar twice now. First time I attempted the test 4 times (cleared till parallel parking) but they kept saying they’re facing technical issues so I’d have to reattempt.

Same story today. 2 attempts and they said technical issues. Blamed the color of my car for it. Is this the first time someone with a blue car has driven on these test tracks? Last time they said it’s the shadows from my car. The sun has risen for the first time it seems.

It was a Monday afternoon and I had woken up a few hours ago after a long night shift. I live in a PG so there are a lot of MBA students who live around here and I have only met a handful of them before.

So there's a knock at my door. I open the door and find this guy in his 20s, he smiles and greets me. He says his name is Aryan, he lives just at the end of the block and him and his friend were filling out a form but they ran into the daily UPI limit. He tells me he urgently needs some money to fill out the form and he will return the amount in cash. There was nothing suspicious about the guy and his story didn't seem wrong. He said he works for an event organizing company called "SE organizers", they organize events in clubs and pubs around Delhi.

I asked him how much he needs and he tells me ₹5k. He tells me to wait for him to fetch the cash from the ATM but calls after some time that the ATM near us isn't working and he needs the money urgently as only 5 minutes are left for filling out that form. I get skeptical so I go to the room he told me was his and there I found a guy, it looked like a double sharing room so while I am talking to this guy on the phone desperately asking for money I ask his roommate if he knows this Aryan guy and if he lives here with him. His room mate said, "Aryan? Yes." I followed up with, "Did you guys need money?". His roommate replies, "Yes, but I don't know, I can't reach him on the phone."

I thought I am just overthinking this situation and maybe they really need the money. He then asks me to pay the amount in two installments, first payment of ₹3k and the second payment of ₹2k...I couldn't understand the need, but he said tax issues as it was a business account named Subodh Garments with a UPI ID subod88779360@barodampay.

I made the payment.

He tells me he will return the amount via UPI by 3pm when the daily limit is reset. I, like a fool, trusted this. I asked him if he was coming back to his room but he said he was near the metro station and needed to go finish the remaining work for the form. Later, he tells me he will need to go to Lucknow tonight and won't be able to come before the next weekend. My doubt is only getting deeper and at this point I am convinced that I am scammed. I tell him to return my money ASAP. He calls me after 3pm and tells me the limit hasn't reset yet and if I can provide him with my bank account number and IFSC code he will transfer the amount via bank transfer or net banking. I refused to provide any information about my bank account and asked him to come back to his room before going to Lucknow so that we can settle the payment. He says, "Ok".

It's 8pm and he's still not at his room. I called him but the number is now switched off. He keeps rejecting my WhatsApp phone calls. So, I ask his roommate again if Aryan is coming back. He asks if I know the guy. I tell him I met him today I don't know him, he tells me that Aryan just moved in today and they don't know each other. He says he made a payment of ₹6k to help Aryan too. I go straight to the caretaker and ask him if there's a new guy in that room. He tells me there is no one by the name of Aryan in the PG and that room only has one person.

The caretaker tells me Aryan was here to look for rooms today and he liked a room and told him he'll move in by tonight but he hasn't come yet. The cameras are not functioning either in the PG. He calls the guy from the room Aryan was supposed to move into and I find out that Aryan told him to transfer ₹6k for the same reason and he hasn't done it yet until I came to his room. Aryan told him that I was his friend and that I am there because Aryan asked me to remind him to make the payment.

I want to share his phone number in the post too if it's allowed. Also, please let me know what can I do to get this bastard in jail. I have decided to file an FIR in the police station for this today. Please stay safe and avoid people like these.

TLDR; A guy named "Aryan" knocked on my door, claiming to be a neighbor and urgently needing ₹5k to fill out a form. His story (see bottom "Long story" for his story) seemed believable, so I transferred the amount via UPI in two installments. He promised to return the money after his daily UPI limit reset, but later claimed he was heading to Lucknow and would settle it later.

By evening, his phone was off, and I realized he wasn’t even a resident of the PG. Turns out, he scammed multiple people, including his supposed "roommate." The caretaker confirmed no one by his name actually lived here.

I'm filing an FIR today. Be cautious and don’t trust strangers blindly. Stay safe!

With the coming Delhi elections, each passing day brings us an even more ridiculous news. Lies, embarrassing acts where politics seems to stoop new low every second.

But then I came across this vid of Trump family (along with few other political clips). Now I think American politics is even more of a circus (Biden was a one of a kind character too). What an absolute tragic-comedy show we are having worldwide.

Is there any group or club that is an aggregator for filmmakers who want to collab and learn. If you are aware of any such groups please point me towards them, if not and if you are interested to be a part of something like this, let me know because I would love to set up something like this.

I am not exactly looking for professionals, I can't dedicate all my time right now for it but I want to be a part of the storytelling mechanism in my own capacity. For example, I am an editor who can help edit your short films but am also very interested in the pre production and scripting part.
