In a society where we talk about feminism, women's empowerment, and even address injustices done towards men, it's shameful to see eveteasing still happening so frequently. And to witness harassers thinking it's normal to pass random comments on passing girls. Today, I experienced something very disgusting, and as I write this, I feel even more angry and disgusted. I was heading back home just a few miles away when two men on a motorcycle had the audacity to pass vulger comments and make disgusting expressions. Their literal words were, 'Uff, Kitna Payas lg rhi h payas buja do something like that,' and they made sounds and vulger gestures. As soon as I realized, I tried to call them out, but they ran away. I still don't understand what they get after doing such stuff !! Government should wake up and smell the coffee rather than dirty politics do something for women in society please 🙏

Any idea what property is this and is it accessible to the public?

I carry a couple of expensive gadgets with me because of my work. So I need safety in the sense that the place should not have a chronic burglary problem.

Secondly, privacy. There are landlords who come to the room whenever they feel like, ask around if girls are coming to ur come, use the room as storage for their stuff, moral policing, etc. Some people are decent enough to tell these stuff before and you can avoid doing business with them. But most landlords want money first and "culture" next, so they take your money first and moral police you later.

Third, reasonably calm. not expecting CR Park-kinda peace here. Calm in the sense, that ease of access to your house, less bottle-neck roads around, etc.

North Campus area is unreasonably expensive for tenants. But it seems to be the only place where I can find independent single room sets without much restrictions and risks. And it feels every other place like this is in South Delhi.

Will be going to attend the ziro music festival happening in arunachal from 26-29, I've booked tickets for the last day. If anyone up for tagging along, you guys are most welcome, the music event is gonna be amazing

I think i might have been plummeting in my depression deeper and deeper due to a whole lot of various factors. I tried to talk with my loved ones and asked for their support/help but they just told me to stop whining and be real. The self harm thoughts are uncontrollable at this point and i have no one to talk to, Im not much close my friends or other relatives either. I feel like shit, a burden. I break into tears so easily these days, when im travelling, sitting alone, bathing, eating, conversing, etc....its doesnt even take me a second to cry (and that is given that i rarely ever cried infront of others my whole life but now idc whether im alone or in company.) I really used to dream but nowdays im having nightmares where im stuck in a timed puzzled and im about to die, they are suffocating and so weird amd i always wake up before either dying or being saved. I keep having hallucinations which im fully aware they are hallucinations like animals running near me or rats/ bugs etc jumping at me ( however im not afraid of them, it hurts my head and exhausts me)

Today i bought some anti depressants (escitalopram 10 mg) based on what i researched on the internet amd took two pills today (i couldnt stop crying so i took two instead of one). Online people say that in the initial dosage for about 4 to 8 weeks the symptoms, headaches, nausea, overall condition would worsen. It would take at least 6 months before i start getting better.....

Im not sure i would last even this long. Idk what to do. Sorry.

Was having headaches , nausea n dizziness since 2 weeks. Neurologist suggested for MRI but I'm scared af coz I feel I'm little claustrophobic.

I find myself increasingly disillusioned with society and its systems of justice and liberty. It seems to me that capitalism, while it has its merits, has also amplified the darker aspects of human nature - corruption, greed, and an insatiable desire for more.

Consumerism and entertainment, rather than serving as outlets for creativity and relaxation, have become tools to keep us sedated, distracted from the realities of the world. We are so caught up in the cycle of earning and spending that we often fail to question the system that perpetuates this cycle.

Politics, which should ideally be a platform for change and progress, has become a stage for manipulation and deceit. Politicians often resort to low-level politics, exploiting religion and other sensitive issues to mislead and betray the people they are supposed to represent.

In light of all this, I find myself harboring an unrealistic wish to leave society and civilization behind, to live somewhere embedded with nature. I realize, however, that I do not possess the skills to survive in the wild and might not make it out there. But the urge persists.

I wonder, am I alone in feeling this way? Do others also feel this unrealistic urge to leave civilization behind?

I am a 4th year undergraduate student and need to visit California for a Summit organized by Google (I am not directly employed by Google!).

Google will provide hotel (for 2N only), food and travel (round trip airfare upto 1L) for the visit. They will also provide a business invitation letter.

I will stay for 2-3 days more to visit some places for which I will book my own hotel.

My question is that will the consular officer offer me a visa approval if they know that I am a student with no property or current employment in India (I do need to join back my college to get my degree). For bank balance proof, I have average yearly balance of 3-3.5L.

Also, any ways to get early appointment for US B1 visa?

I recently tried a pack of Haribos and while they were addictive, they were also hard to the point where they cause gum pain and you have to ship the pack from Amazon. Costs a pretty penny so I was wondering if there's any stores around Delhi or any brands which have good stuff.
