Artist is Aaron Kuder for those who may be unfamiliar. He also was lovely!
I’d never heard of this book before, but the cover art is fantastic. And it’s black light reactive!
This week we've got...
Action Comics 315!
Apparently Zigi and Zagi would be recurring characters? Anyone know if where they ended up? When I see these young "juvenile delinquents" I think of the movie STAND BY ME.
For grade I'm pleasantly surprised with this one - I'm gonna give it a 6.0.
I've also started trying to clean these silver age books (cotton pads, white pencil eraser, Absorene sponge pad) and am pretty happy with how it's turning out. You can see the before/after here (not a huge difference for the front cover, but definitely for the back):

Explanation: I've started collecting Superman Silver Age comics (Action / Superman / Jimmy / Lois) and every Saturday I "reveal" a new purchase to myself. I try to keep what I purchased a mystery by buying them in bulk lots on eBay. And because I do one a week, by the time I reveal a new issue I've completely forgotten what I bought.
This one is from a lot of 25 books I bought off eBay for roughly $200 (so paid roughly $8 a book). Most are in fairly rough shape and there are no major keys. I love looking at the covers and thought folks on this sub might get a kick out it. Each week I reveal a new one, log it in my CLZ Comics app, give it a grade, and put it away in a nice new Mylar bag.
You guys inspired me
No price, they said they’re auctioning it next month while it’s still 1/1.
The did have an AF15 in an 8.0 for a cool $550k though.
I got this today. I knew it was signed but didn't expect a sketch on it! Anyone else pre-order artist cove?
I was able to get this Jordan Gauntlet C2E2 Variant. Ltd 500
Got it for a pretty good price as well. It even looks like it'd grade at least a 9.2 or better if it got pressed.
Does anyone know of a complete list of all Gun Honey covers and variants? Thanks!
My favorite humor book. I’ve been looking for this for years. I have the more recent one but it was definitely neat to find this. Second printing from 1996. It’s so rare. This one has color pages near the back. Anyone else a fan of the dog and the rabbity-thing?
Almost couldn’t believe it when I saw all these in the $1 box. Felt bad so I gave the seller a little extra.
This is a pretty cool find, especially for 12 bucks. It's super low population on the cgc census, but it's also not that popular of a book. I just really love sketch covers, and love Jack Kirby and love Alex Ross so this was a no-brainer for 12 bucks.
Still trying to find an Avengers 57 in 9.0 or 9.2 for a good price, so I thought I’d buy this while I’m waiting.
I was sorting some comics earlier and looking at several runs that I’m slowly putting together. I wondered if I’d buy anymore comics after those specific runs are complete. I don’t buy current comics / new releases so there is an eventual end to the books I like.
Anyone ever thought of this? Will you just stop after you consider your collection complete?
Can anyone verify if the signatures on this look legit? Top-Chris Claremont Middle- Scott Wilson Bottom- Jim Lee
Thanks
