Got this today in a trade at my LCS. How'd I do? Should I send it for grading?
I have a group of higher value bronze/late silver age keys that are currently at CGC being graded. I'd like to sell them at one of the auction places (Heritage, ComicLink, Mycomicshop or anywhere else?) but I'm not sure what's the best deal to get bang for my buck. The comics and approximate grades are below. Any tips? The grades are really approximate, because I haven't seen them since cleaning/pressing.
Incredible Hulk #181 - Approximate Grade: FN-VF
Incredible Hulk #180 - Approximate Grade: FN-VF
Tomb of Dracula #10 - Approximate Grade: FN-VF
Giant Size X-Men #1 - Approximate Grade: FN-VF
Marvel Spotlight #2 - Approximate Grade: FN-VF
Marvel Spotlight #5 - Approximate Grade: FN-VF
Werewolf by Night #32 - Approximate Grade: FN-VF
Detective Comics #359 - Approximate Grade: VG-FN
Amazing Spider-Man #50 - Approximate Grade: VG-FN
Amazing Spider-Man #122 - Approximate Grade: FN+
Iron Man #55 - Approximate Grade: FN+
Uncanny X-Men #94 - Approximate Grade: FN+
Silver Surfer #3 - Approximate Grade: FN-VF
AquaMan #35 - Approximate Grade: VG-FN
I recently acquired a collection of over 300 comic books and I wanted to know how I can go about finding the values and selling them. Thanks in advance!
Any thoughts on this? At my LCS for $200 CAD/$144 USD. Not sure how the marker on the X affects the grade/value, but the price seems solid.
I know it may not be worth a ton given a lot of the comics aren't, but I thought I'd share the oldest of the bunch from the 80's, there's also a Thor from the 80's and a few Superman, but this one looks the coolest in my opinion. I still have a lot to learn about comic books!
Local comic book shop told me I didn't have anything. Friend of mine saw this in my stack and said check again. Does this have any true value to it?
Hi there. I announced the winners of the closest bids in my contest.
I did not hear from the original winner with the closest guess in the Hulk #1 contest so I have selected the next closest guess as the winner.
Since u/moaia66 was closest guess in the Avengers #4 contest I have given them first choice of which prize comic they wanted and they have selected Tales of Suspense #57. Congrats!
And so the new winner of the Hulk #1 closest guess is u/Tonyman121. They will get the other prize comic - Tales to Astonish #59!
If both of you will please DM me your addresses I will get your prizes mailed out to you!
Thanks to everyone that made a gift in my stupid little contest. It made it a lot more fun in trying to get rid of some of these old memories.
Just picked up a raw Avengers 181, great condition, and it’s got a Perez sig on the front, newer collector and I’ve got that itch to get to get it slabbed, but not sure it’s really the best option. On top of that not sure is CGC/JSA or CBCS would be the better choice.
Please someone help me with info.
I used to be a comic collector as a boy and bought this comic new in a sleeve when it was released. It is not graded but in good condition. I know it is the 1st Harley Quinn appearance and has a fair value to it.
What I cannot find out is if there is a known printing error for this comic.
Please look at the images. If you see the images, the ink on the cover is not printed correctly by the spine, but it does not bleed into where it stated Pucket, Parobeck, Burchett: Bottom left.
And on the back the all rights reserved ink is untouched, but the main cover behind it is faded
I bought it like this in South Africa the year it was released.
And up until now can not find out if this is a printing mistake or something else. The comic shops in South Africa could not help.
Can someone with knowledge in the industry help me with this mystery?
This is a last call for u/drsteel and u/moaia66 to DM me to claim their comic prizes. If You don’t message me by tomorrow I will select the next closest guess and that person will get the comic.
I inherited a very large spider-man collection from my Father after he passed and these were among the things in them. I've kept most of the collection but these are very large and i'm not interested in keeping them. the first one is 6ft tall and the yellow brick one at 5'9. I can't find these things ANYWHERE online and would love to have some insight before I up and list them for sale. Thanks and apologies if this isn't the correct subreddit!
I'm ignorant and need some advice, as I'm going through my collection and have to sell some things (both for space and money needs).
I have assorted 2099 titles from Marvel made in the 90's, like Fantastic 4 2099, Spider-Man 2099, X-Men 2099, Ravage 2099, etc. They aren't huge runs - only a handful of issues of each title.
Would collectors be more interested in buying all the 2099 titles together in one lot / bundle?
I could alternatively include these issues with main-series runs of the respective titles (like including the few Spider-Man 2099 with a Spider-Man run, the Fantastic 4 2099 issues with my Jim Lee Fantastic 4 run, etc.)
Thanks in advance for any insights.
Just bought a Jeffrey dean Morgan signed comic and I'm hyped literally paid £40 for it
What do you guys recommend for tracking the value of your books? I know there are some different apps, but would appreciate insights from first hand experience.
Thanks in advance.
