Weekly Google play points, is there a strategy??

A while bsck i remember reading something about google doing a study to see if there was any correlation between the way a user uses the screen to accept the free google play points and how eager they were to get points.

What i read didn't really resonate with me until a few weeks ago. I was passenger in a friends car and opened the page to claim my points just as we arrived at a friends house who was outside and i got distracted. Normally these points aare claimed on fridays, this was a day or two later. Distraction caused a gap of several minutes before asking them tapping the prize to open it. First and only time I've ever gotten 500 play points.

I've been taking advantage of the Google play points every Friday for about a year now. Any other week its a few points, usually under 15. Now i keep wondering if a study really happened and if some algorithm was made to keep desperate players wanting more while rewarding nonchalant players in hopes they use the points and develop a habit of buying play points. Anyone else notice something like this happening? I definitely plan on paying more attention and trying different timing to see if there's a noticeable pattern somewhere. Tia!

Other sites like Glassdoor/Fishbowl

I've been a paid contributor (Sparks Program) on Fishbowl/Glassdoor since last June, earning the maximum every week. I would love to find another similar beer money gig. I spend about an hour a week and make $62.

smores no longer reward points for running ads nor unlocking lock screen multiple times

The title says it all, I used to run some ads in the lock screen so that I could get points, but for the past week it never rewarded me any points for usage or running ads. I can still do surveys for points but that's about it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as clearing the cache, but no dice. I'm frustrated, what could I do?

Who Paid You For/In January 2025? Here is my list and a personal message from me

Lets have a chat

AS I sit here i think back on my beermoney journey, There is a bit of a bittersweet feeling. I feel accomplished that I have grown out of it... but for a few years, as weird as it seems, It gave me a sense of purpose (and an income lifeline) when I needed it.

I started making these posts 9 years ago this month. This subreddit seemed to be mostly negativity then. Complaints about programs not paying.. and people sneaking in ref links to stuff. I decided I wanted to highlight the positive and started this monthly post.

The mods did a great job since then cleaning the sub up and making it one of the most popular on reddit. /u/Threw_it_to_ground and /u/Mikazah have worked hard to make this sub the amazing place it is. (Can one or both of you DM me? I lost the group chat and apparently am too dumb to figure out reddits changes)

Anyway.. This sub has helped me in so many ways over the years... The support people have showed me, especially when I got sick and had my amputation, helped keep me going through some tough times. And when someone I helped get started in beermoney tells me that I helped them through a tough time in life.. that means more to me than anyone would ever know.

But, for the most part, I have now left beermoney behind. Im still working Swagbucks to get to the final level. Mostly doing cashback shopping there but a few other things as well. I have shut down Mturk and Prolific. I now run a futures day trading discord and youtube community. With that and my affiliate marketing, my income level is such that working beermoney actually costs me money because its terribly ineffiecient.

Over the past 9+ years ive made approximately $140K from beermoney sources. But it used to be a lot easier. That said there are still amazing ways to make money online. But I no longer really know what those are. At one point I was one of the biggest sources of knowledge of the programs of beermoney. But I am not any longer. I looked at my reddit inbox for the first time in months and saw people asking for help. Im sorry. Im no longer the one to ask. As much as I wish I could stretch myself further and still be of help to this amazing community, I already struggle to find all the time i need.

That leads me to January's earnings. As you can see, 1 program. Next month ill have two because Rakuten will credit from Christmas shopping, But I dont think a 1 or 2 program post does this thread justice. If I came to this sub and saw a post about earnings and only 1-2 I would probably leave. So I will hopefully talk to Threw and Mika and see how they would like to proceed. Like if there is someone they would like to take over.. or just do it like they did when I was in the hospital with a mod post.

I dont know if this is goodbye. Will see after talking to the mods. But know that those of you that have been with me through this journey over the years like my buddy Roads, I value and care about you and even if I never met you but youve read my posts and replied.. I thank you and appreciate you. If anyone wants to find me off of here... I have a youtube and discord called MightyOxTrading. And my discord username is the same as it is here. But be careful, I have a bunch of imitators that try to trick people with scams. I started a subreddit too a couple years back but kinda abandoned it. I may hire someone to resurrect that.

Sincerely with all my heart and soul
Brian aka TheMightyOx

Has anyone had any trouble cashing out on Verasight surveys? I've cashed out before too a gift card and it went through fine. Now my second cash out to PayPal won't go through. I've tried twice, emailed them twice... no response

Cash back for dining out

Are there any good cash back or gift card back apps/sites for dining out? I have 4 kids doing extracurricular activities and meals aren't always on the table at home these days. If I'm gonna buy out I might as well earn something on it. I use Ibotta and Rakuten already.

Quick Mechanical Turk Questions

It is my first day on Mechanical Turk. There were only 4 tasks that I qualify for, which is fine. I completed one. The other three come up with an error message saying "there are no more qualifying surveys", even though the job is for watching a video etc. Is this an example of the types of tasks we are supposed to be reporting?

I wasn't sure if these were a trick task to test my 'worthiness'? To be honest, I thought I could work on here all day. But instead it seems like 5 minutes of work is all I am going to get until I get more hits?

Does Datacy only count Facebook as data usage?

Maybe I'm using the extension wrong or something but I've had Datacy installed for almost a year now and noticed a pattern where I only earn pennies from my browsing activity whenever I'm using Facebook. Is this the same for anyone else?

I even tested it a couple times just by casually browsing my usual go-to websites or random ones and didn't use Facebook as well as vice versa and still earned only after being on Facebook each day which is weird to me since my YouTube is linked to Datacy per their own recommendation but I've never earned anything from browsing there.

Respondology Users

Hey everyone, I'm running into some issues on Respondology. Most days, there are barely any comments to moderate, even though the dashboard says otherwise. Sometimes, I have a bunch to work on, but then they suddenly disappear, and I have to wait a while again.

On another issue, I'm sticking to the guidelines, but my R-score still drops a lot.

Are you facing any of these issues or do you know why this is happening to my account?

Auto-cashback apps via linked credit cards does not always give cashback

I use 4 such apps that should give auto-cashback via linked cards - Pogo, Benjamin, Frisbee, and Bridge Money.

3 of the 4 apps do not generate any cashback. I believe all of them use the 3rd party service (Plaid) that links your credit cards to each app. I'm wondering if Plaid will only allow cashback on one app, but not all. Relinking my cards didn't help either. Anyone that uses multiple auto-cashback apps have issues receiving points through your linked cards? Is there a troubleshoot i'm overlooking? Thanks in advance.

Signing in for e-receipts on various apps?

I started scanning receipts as part of my weekly routine, over about 10 different apps - but I've held off on a lot of the e-receipt options as most want you to manually sign in to various accounts while in the app. Is this any different than just linking an account? How much of a security issue is it? Have any of y'all had experience with this?

Merryfield Removed Bonus Points from Scanning Receipt

Not sure if this is only happening to me but I found out that Merryfield is no longer giving points per scanned receipt. Now the only way to earn points is to buy from qualifying brads.

Star Trek Fleet in Pogo

Does anybody happen to have a screenshot of the rewards for playing Star Trek Fleet in Pogo? The game disappeared from the Pogo app and unfortunately I didn't get a screenshot so that I can submit a ticket to reimburse reaching the next level. I really thought I had taken one! Lesson learned but thought I'd ask here just in case.

Also has anybody experienced this? It said I had 30 more days to complete, but do these apps stop offering rewards on a certain date and include current progress for players when they cut it off? My other games don't have an expiration date that I can see. This is my first time using an app like this. Thanks!

Rewarded Play Increasing Point Requirement for Cashout

First they cut the reward for completing the activity group from 10k to 5k points. I guess so many of us complained, they backtracked on that & increased it back to 10k after just a few days.

Yesterday, I went to cash out my next $5 gift card but the point requirement has increased from 45k to 55k.

Previously, USD$1 = 9k points.

Currently USD$1 = 11k points.

Love how they claim this is to "better reward their long term users."

It already seemed to take a lot more time & effort to earn with Rewarded Play than Playwell. I liked the 2500 bonus every day, though, the easy to complete activity groups, & only needing one game to earn the bulk of my daily points to get the bonus. I make 7500 points daily with just one game that I only play 10-20 minutes per hour for about 8 hours. It was better than needing to use up all my free space on as many games as possible since most other reward apps issue a lot of reward for playtime & cap it at 120 minutes per app.

I used to highly recommend Rewarded Play but not so much anymore.

Plus, with only 24 hours to complete activity groups, waiting on support when RP doesn't see you've completed a task is nerve-wracking. It's risky if you wait until you only have a few hours to complete it. I don't think support will retroactively reward the points for an activity group since you could install a new app if you didn't get credit for the required task completion.

I find it funny that EarnHoney is still up even though it doesn't work

I saw a post about a website called earnhoney.com (not realizing the post was several years old) so I signed up to it. Immediately I realize that the site has clearly been abandoned long ago
I'm surprised someone's still footing the bill to keep the website running, considering 95% of it doesn't actually work

  • Earn pages don't work, the video just never loads

  • Leaderboard? Sent to error page

  • Support? DNS error (1016)

  • Zendesk page? Doesn't exist anymore

  • Social media pages? All went dark February 19th 2019

I didn't even get a verification email. seriously, who's paying to keep up this website? not like I can email them though!

Amazon shopper panel

Hey yall. I have been using the amazon shopper panel app for almost two years. I have never missed a survey opportunity but have not yet received the ability to upload receipts.. I am wondering how long it usually takes to get approved/accepted for the receipt upload access.. it always says the same thing about it being currently full and I will be notified when it becomes available.. I am just curious as I am getting impatient with this lol thanks in advance!!

Has anyone successfully received a cashout from the Frisbee app? I requested $21 on December 17th and still haven’t gotten anything or heard back, despite messaging support 3 or 4 times. I’m starting to wonder if this app is a scam or if they’ll ever respond or actually send my cashout.

Got an offer for money to virtually meet with a business, is it legit?

I got this message in my inbox from a company to do a one hour meeting with them, they seemed to have read my post history and admittedly it seems to have been written for me. Is it possible for them to not give me the money with no repercussions though?

Hi! I came across a few of your posts on the r/ zen_browser.

I'm the co-founder of an open source software project opfn.co where we're building a new kind of software device called a "personal cloud computer." Instead of being stuck with a corporate Internet, we believe it's possible to take back ownership of websites and make them faster, more flexible, and more useful.

Would you be interested in chatting with me about your experiences using different browsers? We have some early prototype ideas we want feedback on, and from your posting history, I thought you'd have very relevant thoughts. If you're interested, I have a calendar link here: [redacted]

The video call would be 60 minutes long and we're offering participants $100 as a thank you. If you want to chat more before deciding, my personal email is [redacted]

Thanks! [redcated]

Looks like WeWard made changes to their rewards and added more opportunities to earn points

Latest update includes a bunch of different rewards added to their redemption section, so the grind won't take as long to receive the lowest reward. However their leveling system is still infuriating as mentioned in a post i made several months ago.

Looks like you can get additional easy points from watching ads (max of 3 ads daily) on top of spinning a point wheel afterwards. And i noticed surveys and games although i'm not sure if they've always been there.
