Hi,
I got a job offer today for Appen Transcribing as a Freelancer doing "File conversion projects", and was wondering if anyone had any insights into the legitimacy of this whole scheme.
The employer is asking me to make an upfront payment of $50 USD, in return for a $550 USD payment with the completion of the project (whilst also refunding the initial $50).
I live in Australia. I don't really want to give away 75 odd dollars if its not legit.
Does anyone have experience with these guys? Please let me know your experience(s) with this company if you have any, or if you recommend any other freelancer jobs online that are more secure.
Thanks.
That isn't programming, becoming an artist or anything like that. More like a quick event were most of the time is spent perfecting your skills. That AI wouldn't take your job (except if someone was cheating).
Poker tournaments, competitive gaming, what else there is?
hey, so i was really excited cause i thought i found something i could do (unfortunately very desensitized) and wanted to really do content moderation but im having a hard time finding anyone that hires and ugh nobody even responds to resumes anyways. is there a job like content moderation?? or if someone knows anything i just dont want to talk to anyone..thanks
Long story short:
I'm currently trying to apply for a transcriber position and for two days I've been stuck on the first test, why? Because Polish version of the test is a lot harder, the guideline doesn't have most of the information I can find in the English version of the guideline.
Yesterday, I've contacted the support and today two questions were removed (which were impossible to answer) but they gave new ones that aren't possible to complete also sooo yeah...
The support doesn't give a damn about the current state of the test, I had to compare it to
"How should I know how to bake a cake without the recipe and ingredients?"
And, well, the mighty support FINALLY understood what I meant but still couldn't help me...
Well then, that means I wont enjoy earning some money through transcribing. But seeing how dumb the website is and how they don't give a f.
Im happy to not actually use this site
I work full-time, but would like to do a P/T job starting at 9pm CST. Any companies that offer that?
I had someone suggest Appen to me because they actually made money on it years back.
It was very confusing, but eventually I figured out they had an old and a new website, and they only use the old for the occasional user submitted work (don't bother with those btw - they are very pedantic and buggy as all get out)
Finally got accepted in Vuoksi. They wanted you do some tasks to set up, but not ones that seemed unreasonable on the outset. You had to install the Twingate VPN (which is is legitimate from research I did - they have their own subreddit). Their instructions for it though were out of date. I think I only got it set up because I have experience in tech. The vpn makes no attempt to be approachable to anyone that hasn't worked in IT.
So Vuoksi started sending emails of these practice tests - they only function to make sure you read the guidelines. Fine.
The problem I am having now is that throughout this they do a terrible job of giving you "next steps." They act like there are is work IMMEDIATELY to do, and email you constantly about it, but that's it. Finally after a lot of needlessly complicated clicking through pages - I finally get a url, https://review.intern.facebook.com/intern/review/. This only came when they sent an email about work that didn't require a practice test. Finally was able to do some work! But wait? How am I getting paid for it? No idea. Finally searching through more scattered documentation and FAQs, it seems there is supposed to be an option in appen to submit hours, but there is no such place. Finally I said screw it.
It's a lot of one hand not talking to the other. They really need to step back, slow down, and look at it from the user point of view. I am not sinking any more time into it until I know how and when I am getting paid. It feels like these AI training sites are taking advantage of the fact a lot of people are desperate for work and have no incentive to be the least bit competent.
Does anybody have a legit source for a wfh/remote job that I can do from india? I'm an MBA graduate in finance and I'm ok with working in any field as long as it's paid! Plsss help me find a job online :((
I'm currently taking payments from my private students in Korea using PayPal, however I can't send a payment request in Won, I have to request USD (or other supported currencies) which gets converted into Won for them to pay.
The issue is that most of my students want a fixed rate in Won, rather than something that is constantly changing to to exchange rates.
I just want to send a payment request asking for Won, so that their hourly rate never changes, are there any payment platforms that will allow this?
I'm not based in Korea, so setting up Kakao pay isn't going to work for me.
I've been accepted to this job and I don't know anything about it. Is it a scam or a real company?
I recently got hired at Conduent as a WAH Customer Experience Associate. I've just got an email for scheduling onboarding, however, it also says that I will have to take a Skills Evaluation, and I see that it can be failed. Has anyone that for Conduent had to go through this? And if so, what does it consist of, and is it difficult and easy to retake?
So I am trying to find work as a data entry clerk of some sort, no experience, entry level, that sort of thing. I’ve never done remote work before, but I do need a good job of some sort.
I was speaking to someone about their job offer of bringing attention to online products. And I got a little bit concerned about their commission breakdown, which is basically one to 100 ratio, for every $100 product that they help draw attention to, we only get one dollar on commission. And I thought to myself that that did not seem like a legitimate way of doing things. So I shut down at that point because I’m extremely suspicious of being scammed into something.
So I wanted to ask
what are some red flags I should look for when searching online remote jobs?
What are some basic questions I need to be ready to ask in order to make sure that the business is legitimate?
What is the legitimate process for them to ask for bank information for direct deposit?
What do legitimate job opportunities in remote work look like?
Things like this seem pretty reasonable questions to ask regarding finding online employment. But maybe I’m just paranoid. So if anyone can guide me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Hi!! I want to add more language to my profile in order to take more task. Do you know if it's possible?
Where to find Data/image Labelling, Data Annotation jobs out there?

Hi there, I am currently applying for a part-time position as a teacher of German, English and Spanish at Weg2De.
Does anyone of you have working experience related to this company they'd like to share?
Also, I am wondering what hourly wage one can expect when teaching there. If they only pay like 10-15€ like other online teaching platforms, I'd definitely find another job that's more worthwhile considering my yearlong experience in private tutoring and foreign language teaching in public schools.
In case the wages this company offers turn out to be crappy, any suggestions for other employers in the same field who pay more decently and worth recommending?
Can't wait to read about your individual experiences with that company.

I've tried the KnowMore platform and passed the exam. May I ask, how is the interview process? I'm feeling a bit nervous right now. 😭
Any tips? huhuhuh
Hi everyone,
I recently applied for a Remote Life Insurance Agent position with KC Wealth Management Services, and I’m starting to notice some red flags. I’d love your input on whether this job seems legitimate or if I should steer clear. Here’s the situation:
.com
. However, when I searched for the company, the team’s emails on the website end in u/kcwmllc.com
.The job description includes a lot of buzzwords like “flexible schedule,” “no cold calling,” and “paid training,” but the lack of transparency is making me hesitant.
I have an interview coming up soon, but I’m starting to wonder if this is a legitimate opportunity. Has anyone else had similar experiences, or does this sound like a company I should avoid? Anyone here who actually work for this company maybe?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
So to explain my current situation, i'm trying to move out of my parents house but no job i have so far would ever get me into a place around jax. Since i have experience with Retail, Fast Food, and Warehouse would i be able to apply at all? I keep seeing people asking for people who already have experience and have x degree so idk if it's still okay to apply or not?
I was wondering if anyone has ever worked with the online hotel business? (In the US)
When I look up hospitality WFH jobs a lot comes up, and it’s hard to pick which ones are legit reservation companies and which ones aren’t.
I’ve worked in hotel management for almost 10 years now and am moving soon, so would like to do a reservation type gig.
Any tips for this kind of work? Any absolutely not companies? I’d love any information anyone could give me!

Anybody know what this means? I have 2 invoices for the same project, both are the exact same amount for the same project, one of them is ready to be paid, while the other one says deferred payment. Never had this issue before, I had never received such a big payment before as well from Oneforma but Im afraid they are trying to pay me in 2 parts or who knows.
I am life/health licensed and immediately was approved to join their insurance gig.
Any experiences? Are there hours? I'm licensed in 7 states but I'm worried about lack of calls. Just looking at this for part time.
So on Monday I got invited to a interview for the role of customer support executive starting pay is 120,000 and it's from the Marbel group which i done my research it's link to a company in India called gold and diamonds. Hello! Are there any companies that accept people with no transciption experience?
I have see lately many nob offers like customer service at some big companies but I am just too septic about it so if anyone knows anything about just tell me Thanks
So, I had a fairly easy two-question interview and job offer, but I don't see the company anywhere else online.

Anyone in Irael familiar with the company?
Hello all,
I'm in the midst of filling out a job application for online scorer at Pearson, and I'm coming across some questions that have me, for lack of a better word, sweating.
The last job I had was more than four years ago, working at a Meijer's as an overnight stocker. Thanks to a stupid mistake on my end - restocking meat that was returned by a customer right before my shift ended rather than putting it in a little purple disposal bin behind the meat section doors, something I'd just learned about the night before, I was terminated from my position. A week later, I was arrested for violating my then-probation and ended up serving a four year suspended prison sentence for a non-SO-related crime that I don't feel the need to disclose.
So I'm a felon with a massive time-gap between jobs, and my last job ended not due to a layoff but because of performance problems on my end that resulted in my termination and blacklisting from working at another Meijer's throughout the entire chain. I was quite the retarded and useless cretin a few years ago.
I've worked a scorer position before, when I did it under ETS around 2016-2017. I was decent at it, but ended up losing that job because during that time I was diagnosed with Bipolar Depression and because I was told by my psychiatrist to take my Latuda in the morning instead of at night, I was fighting off sleep all day long. My work performance suffered greatly because of this and by the time I figured out that the Latuda was what caused my all-day drowsiness and started on my own to take it at night, it was too late because I'd never thought to share with my supervisors my situation - I assumed they wouldn't care, either way, tbh.
For lack of a better way to say it, I've made my bed with a terrible work history and a felony stamp on my forehead, but I have changed overtime for the better. At this point, if my aging mother didn't require someone to be present in the home to help ensure no falls or accidents happened, especially after her foot surgery back in August, I would have made my peace working at temp agencies by now, but I can't reliably leave the house because of aforementioned conditions. As such, where online-opportunities are concerned, scoring jobs are my only real chance at some decent income that can go back into the household.
The only thing i have even remotely going for me with regards to scoring is that, as I understand it, having a college degree is still a desirable trait; useless as they are now, I have a Bachelor's in Small Business Management and a Master's in Marketing & Communications.
If anyone can give me advice that might help my application thrown in the metaphorical trashbin, I'd greatly appreciate it.
If I'm being stupid in trying for this sort of job with my work/criminal history, let me know now so I stop this pointless errand.
So I've seen their name pop up here and I thought I'd check them out and on their website under careers section hen you look at a job position it talks about benefits and 401K and all employee things.
However online everyone says their 1099. I've never once been 1099 and I have no idea how any of that works at all. So which is right? If they come back to me will they clarify or just expect me to go with whatever they say? If I do proceed if I proceed, all 1099 stuff is like a different launge to me.
I was recommended by someone here to check up Data Anotation Tech (training AI by reviewing responses), but they only hire in some English-speaking countries and I'm not located in any of them. Found Outlier instead and did a little work there, but currently I have no tasks and I saw in their own sub others have experienced that as well. Does anyone here know of any other similar companies?
