Who Paid You For/In October 2024? Here is My List

I smell turkey. Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving

##Sept summary

My beermoney semi retirement continues as only 3 programs on the earnings report this month.Continuing to work it though. The prolific total is not just from this month but over several months. Figured it was time to cash it out now.
If you are reading this post and thinking beermoney isnt worth it.. please look in the comments. Im sunsetting my beermoney career, which has done great things for me, but others are still making lots of money with this. Ive just turned my attention to futures day trading, my youtube channel and the MightyOxTrading merch store.. these things are now a better source of income than beermoney

There are two general things I want to chat about though that dont have to do with earnings.

The first is Mturk. I get a lot of questions about Mturk each month. And I dont mind helping and answering questions so dont think im complaining. BUT.. I have written an Mturk 101 that might answer a lot of questions you might have. Its linked on the right hand side of this subreddit.

The second thing is people from countries other than the US contacting me. Again I certainly dont mind, but I really have no idea what works in other countries. Its just not something I have the time to keep up on. And I hate that there arent many options for people outside of the US/UK/CA. Its heartbreaking when someone says just $25 a month would make a big difference and I dont know where to refer them to. SO if you arent from the US.. I honestly dont know how to help you but wish I could

So thats my Oct. How did you do?

FOOTNOTES

  1. Does not count Ref earnings

FAQ

I live outside the USA. How can I earn?
Unfortunately most of the stuff I do is either USA only or US/UK/CA/AU. So its hard for me to advise whats available to people outside of those areas. If you live outside those 4 countries I really dont have advice for you. And I dont have much advice for even outside the USA.

How Much Time do you spend with this?
Its Hard to quantify. I am in front of a computer ALOT but its not always focused on making money. I have games I play and have scripts that watch for HITs ON Mturk so if something pops thats good I switch over. Plus Im often doing multiple things at once. That said.. there are people who make more then me with less time. Im actually very inefficient.

Why dont you get a real job?
Health issues.. and I can nap at 1PM.. and I dont have a boss looking over my shoulder... and I can work naked (I dont.. or do I....)

You must have a ton of referrals to make that much!
All the totals above represent only personal earnings. I seperate out ref earnings.

OMG! You must cheat somehow to make so much!
I do nothing outside the TOS of any of the programs. I consider this income to be a blessing and wouldnt do anything to jeopardize that. Plus cheating just kills programs and defrauds the companies that are allowing me to make this income.

Do you have to pay taxes on all of this
Yes on most of it. There are some exceptions but the majority of this income is taxable. Most of these companies dont issue 1099s but that doesnt mean you dont have to pay taxes. Please consult a tax professional if you have questions on how to handle taxes on "beermoney" income

Can I use SerpClix in a different location?

Hi! I have Serpclix extension installed on my laptop. I'm going to travel 6 hours away to go visit family and I plan to bring my laptop with me. I'm just wondering if I can use Serpclix while there?

I'm just worried since Serpclix tracks IP address, and if I use it at the other location, will I get in trouble for that since the IP address is different?

Does anyone have experience bringing their laptop and using Serpclix while in a different state/outside their usual home spot?

Thank you in advance!

I secret shop refusing to pay me ?

I did my first shop yesterday for i secret shop. I signed up for two daycare tours. Daycare 1 informed me that they aren’t allowing tours at this time. So I called and left a voicemail to tell I secret shop this shop couldn’t be performed. I did shop two including filling out the forms and taking photos. When I tried to submit shop two I was locked out of my account. When I emailed to ask why they says I “ violated” the rules by not completing a shop at daycare 1. I explained that daycare 1 didn’t allow tours and that I had the full report ready for daycare 2. I got a rude email saying my account will not be unlocked. What do I do? I was supposed to be paid 50 for this shop.

Applying for loans as a secret shopper

Thanks to this post I found secret shopper and I’ve been doing mystery shops a few times a week to get free meals and a little extra cash (this is very little money but if you can eat for free it helps a lot). A shop popped up today offering 40 for an hour of work and I jumped at the chance but it expects us to use our real pay stubs and ID to apply for a specific loan at a bank to evaluate their customer service. It warns this application will show up on your credit history. Has anyone done a shop like this before? Did it lower your credit score or cause any issues ? It’s a well paid shop, but I don’t want to cause credit problems for future me for 40 dollars. What do y’all think?

Attention 25Clicks members who are having issues PSA

There's a previous thread about not getting tasks from 25clicks and not being able to log into the site. Solution was to email them and it solved it. I emailed multiple email addresses the first time until i suddenly found the right email addy and no response but the next day i got a task and got all my back pay. Now i have not gotten any updates on pay and no new tasks in days so i emailed again and it seems they have it figured out. So this is just a PSA directly from 25clicks. This is probably the issue. I followed the steps and i am good now again. I will copy and paste the reply from them below. Hope this helps some people.

"Attention T-Mobile/Sprint/Assurant/Boost/Mint/Metro users.  Your account is being closed by the system as they are blocking our text messages.  Please do the following to keep your account open:

According to T-Mobile/Sprint/Assurant/Boost/Mint/Metro, this is a setting called "Shortcode Blacklist" which is intended to block text messages from short codes, toll-free numbers, and certain 10-digit phone numbers like the ones we use to send you tasks. In turn, our system closes your account when the text is returned as undeliverable.

To fix it, you have to call 611 directly from your T-Mobile/Sprint device - or if using another device, call 1-800-937-8997 – and request that the "Shortcode Blacklist" setting to be removed/turned off from your account. This will allow our text messages to be sent to you."

Are there any websites that lets you write whatever you want for money?

I love going down little rabbit holes and researching random topics. Is there any way I can make a little money by publishing my findings? It could be writing articles, doing ranking lists, whatever. I just wanted a little extra money to help with the holidays. I have a degree and experience in writing if that helps.

New OnMyWay update guts casback from restaurants & gas

The On my way app just released a new update and basically gutted all the restaurant & gas deals.

So now you could only cash out from resorts, air travel and a new game.

Note: This new game is called “crack the vault”, where you could possibly win $5 million, BUT it cost $10 OMY dollars and you can only play the game 3 times per day.

Cheddar.tv running random long videos

Anyone has cheddar.tv running. As of today it's running random long videos from different channels. Before I used to puck up a channel with short videos up to 1 minute like the Donino channel and it would run only videos from that channel. Now is switching random channels with videos up to 60 min. If you let it run and not pay attention you get 2.5 points in one hour! That's ridiculously!

Don't Do Intellizoom Live Interviews

I've been on for 3 weeks now. Gotten some card sort ones and some regular surveys.

But I have tried for 2 live ones that paid very well - one for $112 and one for like $120. Well both times the moderator canceled less than 24 hours before, I mean literally canceled 15 minutes before.

Now, they are owned by UserTesting. I am a member of them and made a very good amount of money. I got deactivated for missing 2 live appointments, which one was technical on their end and one was an emergency. But when they canceled on me I got paid at least at a little.

So basically UserTesting expects you to show up always, and if the mods don't then it's all okay.

I don't need to hear poor me it's just a rant. Hundreds of dollars fucking with people who may need it is a bad formula.

PSA: Make sure to check Amazon Shopper Panel every so often for surveys. You won't always get survey alerts.

Those who have the app are aware of ASP's changes. To match or surpass the auto-$2 it once offered, you'll need to check the app every so often to catch as many surveys as possible. Yes, sometimes you'll get an alert for new surveys. But that's not always the case. Yeah it's extra annoying steps, but this is where we're at unfortunately.

This week's grocery haul: I got paid $3 to take $30 worth of Yogurt, Corn Bread Mix, Hot Cocoa, and More!

###Here are the goodies.

Wal-Mart Pickup only this week! Not my best haul, but still a money maker, and it didn't take very long.

^(Edit: Forgot to change the link. Whoops.)

####Total: $29.74

####Coupons: None!

####Total Cash Back: $32.85

####Final Cost: -$3.11 - Money Maker

The complete breakdown is in the imgur gallery above. The stores are listed in the breakdown image. I don't include sites that take any receipt on my breakdown.

Note: Individual deals vary by user for most apps. If you don't have the deals right now, you can try checking back later.

####My Guides

  1. All rebate apps/sites I use and/or know about

  2. How I do my hauls

  3. Beginners guide to using rebate apps/sites - for those who don't know where to start

If you aren't interested in this kind of thing, please keep your comments to yourself. If you don't like what I buy, you can buy different products. If you don't like hunting for deals, you can do surveys, microtasks, games or whatever else you like instead. There is no need to discourage other users just because you aren't interested in the same things!

If you don't need feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, soaps, etc - consider donating them to your local women's shelter, church, or school! Don't need pet food? Give it to a shelter!

####Some Additional Deals

###Afterthoughts

This week was just pickup orders. I usually prefer in-store, but I had a minor surgery, and I'm not allowed to strain myself at all. (All's fine, it's healing well, I just don't want to re-open things by pushing a grocery cart. Should be business as usual next week.) Unfortunately, that does mean I probably missed some good deals, but I'm just refusing to look at them right now, haha.

I did run out to Wal-Mart to get a couple things earlier this week as I expected. Luckily, I got a midweek bonus this week, so I just put in the pickup order that way. Unfortunately, that did not get picked up by Ibotta. Not a shocker since they're having issues at Wal-Mart and I had issues last week. I contacted support, but my bonus was expiring in the early afternoon on Sunday so I wouldn't have time to wait for them to credit the offers, and to let the offers I have been getting reset, so I had to find new ones. That definitely put a damper on things. I'm quite enjoying those yogurts and cocoa mix. Ibotta did end up crediting me (while I was out getting today's pickup order, lol) Today's order went through as it should though! I made sure to re-link my account before doing today's.

I got a text letting me pick my November bonus. I ended up choosing the $30 for 71 offers. I had a higher one for $40 for 93 offers, and since we should get all of the Thanksgiving offers, I should be able to finish that. However, I hardly ever finish 93 offer bonuses for one reason or another, so I decided to play it safe rather than stress it.

I also submitted all of my October receipts to Amazon Shopper Panel and that came to $6.85. Such a shame remembering that I used to only need 10 receipts for $10. Since Home Depot receipts are $1, I decided to drop by and grab a couple of the $0.20 carpenter pencils to bring me up to $8.85. I bought three, but the one receipt isn't crediting. I used three different cards to ensure the receipt is obviously different, but I'm guessing the time stamp is causing problems. Good to know for next time.

###Time Spent

This week I spent a total of around 20-30 minutes planning my haul while also brushing my cat. The pickup orders took just under 10 minutes each. This included getting my regular groceries as well.

###Food From Deals

The other week I made some taco meat. Deal items included taco seasoning and ham (I substituted half for the beef, couldn't taste the difference). I served it with pasta instead of the tortilla shells. Not as tasty, but I have way too much pasta that needs to get eaten. Although, there are some decent stacking deals on hard shells between Ibotta + Fetch right now.

I also made a lasagna. Cottage cheese, ham (subbed half the meat), noodles, pasta sauce, and most the seasonings were deal items. Beef wasn't, and the "cheese" wasn't. I used bettergoods plant-based "cheese". It's pretty decent. I wouldn't use it on a pizza, but in lasagna? I can barely taste the difference, and my stomach is much happier.

Here's some things I've made in the past: High Protein Tomato Crackers, Hot Sausage Cups, Peanut Butter Fudge & Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge, Chocolate Cherry Pie

Do you guys want me to continue showing things I've made using ingredients I got from rebate apps on these posts? Let me know in the comments, or you can vote on this poll if you want to remain anonymous.

###Mini FAQ

  • If you're new or confused - check out the guides near the top of the post. They go into detail about everything.

  • I'm from the USA and these posts are tailored as such, but this post of mine does list things from other countries that I know about.

  • My posts are tailored to being money makers to suit this subreddit. There are tons of great deals that aren't money makers but can still save you a lot of money.

  • A lot of what I get is given away to friends, family or is donated. I do this more as a hobby than anything.

  • I generally do not share my spreadsheet since the one shown in this post is not the one I actually use (it's put together with a script from my usual spreadsheet) and there are a ton of little things that will give you wrong values if you don't know about them and even then you have to be careful. It's super easy to make a spreadsheet with Google Sheets though.

Miles increased cost of rewards

Miles app has increased the cost of rewards to 10,000 miles for $5 rewards. Just last week (that’s when I had last checked) it was 5,000 miles.

So they have doubled the cost of rewards.

Once I am done withdrawing all my rewards I am done with this app.

Kashkick Donations

I downloaded Kashkick the other day and other than getting ms hooked on monopoly go it's been pretty chill. I've earned a few bucks doing surveys which are basically all the same political survey with the questions in different order. However I'm wondering what is their motivation behind donations? Right now if I donate $20 to the American Cancer Society why would they give me $50? Is it so they can get my debit card info? Yesterday I saw a similar one where if I donate $20 to the ASPCA I would get $35. What is the catch here?

Be weary using PlayTime through the S'more app.

I've been using S'more for years and recently decided to give Playtime a shot via S'more. I've played and completed ~12 games. I've been rewarded for all but 3 apps. There is no way to reach out to Playtime support and S'more support will just direct you to Playtime support, which is a chatbot that just goes in circles and tells me to wait up to 72 hours. I've waited over a week and got nothing.

Is anyone having problems with some of the Branded Survey surveys?

Im doing some surveys but after i complete them i never get redirected and the redirect button takes me to a screen that just says {"error":"missing session"}. Has anyone ever experienced this before? I've filed tickets in the past and have gotten my points but i would rather not have to file a report and then wait some days. Is this a problem with other sites as well?

OneForma users, I need some answers.

I'm in need of some money because I'm unemployed at the moment so I stumbled upon oneforma which seemed legit/not scam.

So, I've two questions, first one I can't get the OneForma UHRS working, not sure why although I have both Payoneer and Paypal linked to my account.

Second question is: I can't find the links for the following certifications, can you help me find them?:

1- General LLM Prompt and Response Authoring Certification en-US

2- Helios Certification

3- Ares Certification

4- LLM Readiness_Safety

5- UHRS_Test_New_Grammar_EN-US

6- UHRS_Test_New_Reading_EN-US

Walking/Traveling App lists

I downloaded a bunch of walking/traveling apps and here are some information. So far I've only redeemed from Cashwalk and Miles. I've redeemed WaklWork but it's currently pending. Also I don't have GeoSmile on this list as it was KILLING my battery when I was using it.

Cashwalk - 20,000 steps gives you 200 coins. You will need 3,000 coins to redeem $5 dollar gift card. Assuming you walk 20,000 step every day, 3,000($5 gift card) / 200(coins per day) = 15 days to get 5 dollar gift card. You will need to enable their lock screen which has the step counter and a treasure chest with a number on it. You will need to click that number to redeem each coin. Every 7 coins that are redeemed a pop up ad will show and you will need to close it. I've redeemed twice successfully into my Amazon account.

  • If you can get past the annoying lock screen and having to click for the points and the ad popping out every 7 clicks, it's worth it.

Macadam - This is a very passive and slow one. You will need 20,000 steps for 200 coins. There are different transfer amounts and also different tier (bronze, silver, gold). One of the bronze offer takes 45,000 for a $20 dollar (looks to be paypal). 45,000 / 200 (per day) = 225 days to get 20 dollars. You just need to log in end of the day and click a button to convert your steps into coins.

  • very passive.

Miles - This is not a step counter but a traveling app. When you travel from one place to another you get to redeem a trip for 40 points, if you watch an ad that will double it to 80 points. There are 3 different plans, the one I'm using allows you to redeem 5 trips. So that's 5 * 80 = 400 every day. There are only gift cards for this such as AMC, Chiptole, etc... most are 5,000 for a $5 dollar gift card. $5 Amazon gift card are 7,500 same with Paypal. 5,000 / 400 = 12.5 days to get a $5 dollar gift card So far I've redeemed a $5 Chipotle and AMC card and it works.

  • Here's the annoying part about this, there's only limited amount of giftcard and you'll have to redeem while it's available. It gets restocked every so often.
  • it's also kind of annoying to watch and ad every time you redeem, but the double point is definitely worth it.
  • If you travel a lot this is pretty good. I just turn on my location when I'm traveling, and turn it off when I'm going home. But I'm sure they are still able to tell where I live.

WalkWork - This is a step counter app, you get max 100 coins when you hit over 10k steps. In the US you can only redeem paypal, even tho it shows gift cards like Taco bell, chiptole not sure if it's a bug or not. The $5 dollar paypal can be redeemed with 3,500 coins. $15 dollar paypal can be redeemed with 10,000 coins. 10,000 / 100 = 100 days to get 15 dollars. I've redeemed the paypal but it's pending. They say it takes about a week to process, so we will see. FYI, when you redeem the coins you can just hold the treasure chest and it will redeem it faster then if you were to keep clicking it.

  • This is pretty good if I'm able to redeem the paypal amount. Very straightforward and only 100 days to get 15 dollars, if it pays out!

Winwalk - 100 coins for 10k step. It'll ask you if you want to watch an ad to redeem the whole thing. Usually I just click the coins 100 times it's faster then watching ads. it's 10 dollars giftcard for 16,000 coins. So it'll take 160 days to redeem a 10 dollar gift card.

  • kind of slow , but redeeming the coins is fast , you can just keep clicking it, and close the app once you finish because it'll show an ad.

WeWard - This one is kind of weird because you level up the max step you can achieve also goes up in addition with the reward. Which can be good or bad, for example when I first started the max step was like ~20,000 steps I forget the exact number for 28 coins. But now that I levelled up it takes 33,000 steps to get 41 coins. But some days I don't hit 33,000 steps , so I have to redeem the next lower reward which is 20,000 for 17 coins. There's also a WeCard element that I didn't look into. It takes 3,050 coins to redeem 15 paypal/venmo. Because of what I said above the coins you earn everyday may not be the same. So let's assume at least 17 coins per day 3050/17 = 179 days for a $15 dollars. To redeem you just click a butotn.

  • This would have been a really good one if the max step doesn't keep going up. But it's still ok kind of passive since you just need to click once to redeem the coins.

Moneywalk - 10,000 steps to get 100 coins. You can also claim coins for every 1000 steps, up to 10,000 so ten times. It's usually about 1- 3 coins sometimes higher if you're lucky. The redeeming process is kind of annoying. You have to manually click to redeem and it'll pop up an ads right over it so sometimes you'll hit the ad. You can also check in every day and you get bonus coins for streaks. $5 dollar gift card for 8,125 coins. 8125/100 + ~20(for the extra claim) = 67.7 days for $5.

  • This one is annoying because of redeeming the coins.

Walkfi - 10,000 for 100 coins, automatically redeem when you log in. If you log in 7 days in a row you can claim 100 coins. 40,000 for $25 paypal, 400 days for 25 bucks (which is about 80 days for 5 bucks).

  • Takes a long time but you just need to open app and it'll redeem for you.

Noom Vibe - You can claim max "vibes" of 225 per day. I think it's 22,500 steps to reach that (not 100% sure). You have to click the button once to bank it. It's 20,000 vibes for 5 dollar gift card. So 20,000 / 225 = 88 Days.

  • Takes a long time but just need to click once to redeem.

Evidation - I connect my fit bit to this. You will get 8 points per category walk, exercise, vital, nutrition, sleep. I automatically get walk, vital (from tracked heart rate), sleep. For exercise, I just add a workout in my fitbit, and for nutrition I just add that I drank water today. Points are automatically redeemed when it syncs with fitbit. 10,000 points can redeem 10 dollars. So if you get 8 points for 5 categories, thats max 40 points per day. 10,000/ 40 points = 250 days for 10 bucks.

  • Takes a long time, have to manually add the 2 categories in fitbit every day.

I'm going to rank these with my preference. Assuming that they ALL will Pay out. Because I'm not 100% sure that some of these are legit.

  1. Cashwalk
  2. Miles
  3. WalkWork
  4. Macadam
  5. Weward
  6. Moneywalk
  7. Walkfi
  8. Winwalk
  9. Noom vibe
  10. Evidation

Feel free to ask questions and post on your experiences as well.

UPDATE : walkwork paid out the $5 to PayPal, But the reward went higher , it's now 4000 for 5 dollar and 11,400 for 15 dollars. This is either from redeeming or updating the app. I've also now started getting ads when redeeming coins, which is kind of annoying.

-Miles also updated their reward to 10,000 essentially doubling it. So it'll take 25 days to get 5 dollars.

10/31 - I redeemed 5 dollar Dunkin donut from Moneywalk. Took 3 days for them to send gift card to my email
