1. Sensui

Sensui is just one of those kinds of villains you love to hate, but there's also interesting aspects to him. He seems evil and vile at a surface level, but when it boils down to it he's one of the most complex characters, with all his lore.

2. Mukuro

Mukuro even though she's a villain she doesn't feel evil, and her story is very moving.

3. Kuwabara

The character starts as comic relief, his character development throughout the series, and even at the end shows that he's potentially outgrown the main character.

4. Elder Toguro

Well, Elder Toguro is just one of those characters that is really relatable in the sense that he suffered great loss, and starts to fear weakness and impotence. His lore is great, and his motivation even though it's one dimensional seems Nobel enough that even though he's a fiend the character compensates by straight forward morals.

5. Minoru Kamiya

He's written so well that you just want to punch him in the face. But by the end of it all, he grows a conscience which shows how the writing manages to sway you from one side to another.

Honestly, what a great journey of 112 episodes that was and realising that it’s over and I’ve experienced it all makes me so happy yet so sad that it’s over but now I don’t know what to continue on after this masterpiece honestly. What did you guys end up watching after you finished Yu Yu Goatkusho? 🫡

The idea just came to my mind, and did a little bit of research so SSJ was introduced at Bu saga released between 1994-1996 and Yu Yu Hakusho manga was from 1990 - 1994 so, it could be possible, didn't saw any posts about this so idk if it was ever debated.. What do you think?

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place to ask but I figured I might as well take a shot.

growing up Yuyu was me and my older brother's favorite anime and one of the first animes we watched together from start to finish.

We're both full grown adults now and he recently got promoted to a managerial position at his job leading a new department.

As we all know, Christmas is around the corner and I wanted to get him something that he could use at work like office supplies and things of that nature, but with the twist of it being related to yu yu hakusho.

He already has a yusuke figurine so I didn't want to get another figurine and wanted to get him something that he might actually need.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

So I'm binging the show for the first time. Incredible dub. Great show. Gay for kuwabara now,l. Etc etc etc.

Does anyone know if there a change in the animation team or studio around episode 56? It feels like everyone got a little rounder and stretchier, and almost a little more fluid.
I could very well be imagining it, but i pay really close attention to art, animation, and backgrounds and something just feels a little different.

Also just all of hiei's black dragon animations are genuinely unsettling and so so good.

I know its on Netflix but my laptop is old and doesn't support Netflix unfortunately. Does anybody know where I can watch the English dubbed version of the live action Yu Yu Hakusho series ? Its been about a year and I still can only find the original Japanese versions online and its distracting for me to have to try to read the subtitles when I'm hearing something else. Please help me

AS I finished writing, I couldn't find the post. So here it is.

PART ONE: BATTLE STARTS

Battle starts, Karasu stands still, as does Kuromomotaru, Karasu talks about he finds his enemy boring and plain, and ugly. Momotaro makes the first move, trying to phisically engage Karasu, who effortlessly and elegantly evades with his eyes closed, hands in his pockets. This go for a few moments until Momotaro finally thinks he has Karasu cornered, and will land a hit, but Karasu humilliates him by evading last second, and with a light push, dropping him of the arena in an embarassing way.

PART TWO: MOMOTARUS 1st TRANSFORMATION

Momotaru returns to the ring, Karasu mocks him and says he is not a worthy opponent, but suddenly, Momotaros smiles and shows confidence. He says he has an exact read on Karasus speed now, and takes a dumpling, changing into a Cat like beast. After it he engages Karasu again, viciously, and Karasu suddenly sees the situation out of hand, pressured, his cool stance dropped, evading by a minimal margin with difficulty and not having the opportunity to counter. eventually, Momotarus draws first blood, tricking him with a suprise, Tail Whip, and then hitting him os his arm, cutting him with his claws.
Momotaro laughs thinking he is winning, but then Karasus attitude changes, and he congratulates Momotaro on hitting him, but for that, now, he is going to have to die. As Momotaro hear these words, suddenly the sound of an explosion. Karasus first bomb explodes, cutting Momotarus tail, the same one it had got the best of Karasu a few moments earlier. As Momotarus scream in pain, Karasus starts his offensive, back to his cool stance, he slowly walks as bombs materialize in the air around him and fly towards Momotaru, situation reverser, now is Momotaros whos is cornered, pressures, and giving his all in just evading and trying to escape with his life. But in vain, a few bombs hit Momotaro and he gets injured, and bleeding, as Karasu prepares a cluster of bombs to finish Momotaro, gestures to the bombs in the air surrounding Momotaro to close-in and finish him, we see a glimpse of Momotaros eye in panic, as the bombs hit him, and explode.

PART THREE: MOMOTARUS 2nd TRANSFOMATION

As the big explosion occurs, Momotaro is assumed dead, and a cloud of smoke lies in the bombing site, but, as Karasu turns his back on his enemy, ready to leave te arena, Momotaro voice can be heard. "Im not finished, you are". As Karasu turns back his attention to Momotaru, the smoke dissipates, and Momotaru is alive and with minimum damage, in a new form. He ate a dumpling and transformed into a Rocky monster, with a round shell on his torso with only his arms and legs and head protruding out of it (think Golem from Pokemon). Momotaro says Karasu is finished because he now knows all his tricks, and has adapted to them. Karasu attacks him with a bomb, but Momotaro head and limbs retract into his shell, and he absorbs all the damage, unscathed. As his bombs seem to have no effect in his ball form with limbs and head inside his shell, Momotaro starts rolling to strike Karasu. Karasu evades his attacks, he attacks again with his bombs, it completely backfires, as Momotaru uses the strenght and inertia of the explosions, to bounce faster and stronger and hit Karasu hard. This happens a few times.
The battle stops for a moment and Momotaro comes out of his shell, as Karasu is visible wounded and breathing heavily, tired.

PART FOUR: CONCLUSION - KARASUS GIVES HIS ALL

Momotaro gloats at Karasu that he is finished, not only he immune to his bombs, he actually can use them to his advantage. He says Karasu will eventually run out of energy and stamina, and be unable to evade his attacks. Karasu responds he has much more energy than he thinks. He removes his mask, and his hair goes blonde, and his apperance and energy visibly increases, but Momotaros dismisses this. He says Karasus 2nd wind is pointless, as the end still will be the same, Karasu cant harm him and will eventually tire. Karasu dares Momotaro to strike, and he does, Karasu evades a few attacks, launches bombs projecting Momotaros to his bouncing attacks, that Karasu evades with greater difficulty, lastlly, Karasu stands in place and attacks with a significant bigger bomb, the bomb launches Momotaro with great force at Karasu, and Momotaro thinks this will be it, he will land this hit and win, but Karasu evades at the last moment, as Momotaro lands on the spot Karasu was standing. Karasu ceases his attack. Momotaru again comes out of his shell to gloat, teasing Karasu if this was it, this was all he had to show, if he ran out of energy already, to which Karasus responds to Momotaro that he is dead, as "X" marks the spot.
As he finishes the sentence Momotaro gets angry and prepares for his next attack, but as he tries to retract his head into his shell, he is terrified he actually can't. its stuck, Suddenly we see, five underground bombs came from the floor he is standing, chaining his arms, legs and neck. Karasu had calculated him to land on that spot, he had booby trapped before the last engagement. As Momotaro realizes he is in trouble, two explosions rip off his arms. Karasu walks calmly in his direction, and says his Momotaros form is resourceful, but his limbs are weak and unable to break his chain trap, and his shell now prevents him of reaching other dumplings, so he can't further transform. As he approaches, he dismisses Momotaro for being ugly and fighting cowardly, and making him resort to his full power. As he reaches him, he says he wonders if his insides are bomb-proof, he puts a grenade in the defenseless Momotaro's mouth, and walks away as he is beheaded by the explosion.

WINNER: KARASU.

Was looking through some anime stuffed animals for my kids today at Walmart and stumbled upon this cute fella. Hard to believe there's new stuff for such an old school anime. Of course I had to swoop him up. Unfortunately there were no other characters.
