I don't get how the soul has energy separate from the brain's matter. Doesn't that violate equivalent exchange? (If the soul was just a bastion of energy maybe that would make sense but then is it really a soul?) Where does that energy come from? I would assume that it would come from food and experience at first but we don't really see pregnant mothers shovelling down tonnes of uranium and that would imply old people’s souls are worth more than young people’s. That means that the soul energy isn't formed by humans rather 'summoned'. Is there an in universe explanation or does anyone have any theories on this?

in the second picture (below) what does this maintenance man explains exactly? why these pipes are the lifeline of the fort? also why "if the fort gets attacked up above, this central core will stay safe?" i don't understand maybe it's the english haha
