The tree must have been planted afterwards and was at least 70 years old, dating this brick structure to pre 1950. House was built in 1956.
Very difficult to photograph, have asked other half to give the area a jet wash to see what we are left with
Had an approx 20cm thick, very strong layer of concrete on top of the bricks,
metal tube coming out of the brickwork has a hole in the centre, we poked a 1m long stick in which came out wet and muddy. Definitely deeper than 1m.
The visible brick bit is an approx 50cm square, goes deeper underground but not sure how far yet, trying to excavate around it. Any ideas What could it be?
