TwoXGaming was created as a response towards @TotalBiscuit's other half: Genna Bain's video post about HuniePop being deleted on another subreddit that was supposed to be an open space for other female gamers to share relevant content concerning all things vidya. One female gamer decided to create this subreddit to be truly an open space where women and men can discuss games, post content, and have fun without being censored.

To any lurkers:
No whiteknighting. We can defend ourselves in discussions and we do not need anyone telling us how to think or feel. Do not treat us like infants or you will be banned.
On body content:
No slut shaming fellow gamers or even video game characters. We do not care about a gaming character's body or outfit. You can talk about their design and what not but do not shame someone or something for their physique or outfit choice.
Important rule: Leave your politics at the door. Whether you are into social justice or not or pro-gamergate or not, this sub is a space for things purely video games. We promote rights for all groups and respect everyone's personal opinions but we are not your soapbox, you already have subs dedicated exclusively for those types of things. No exceptions.

I’m a PS4 player that plays Paladins, H1Z1 (relatively new still), PUBG (mobile) and Apex Legends (had to make a new account, tech support was no help in fixing the problem with my last one).
Been spending a lot of time playing BOTW in between caring for my 6 month old, but would like to play kart with some new friends!

Hyperkin makes an XBOX controller that's shaped like a SNES controller. I've got all the buttons I need for modern games, but the controller is small enough to fit into my little gremlin hands.
One improvement over the old SNES controllers is that this thing isn't just a flat paddle with buttons on it. The back has a nice contour that is more comfortable to hold.
The cord is about 8 feet long (just guesstimating based on my height) and the whole thing feels like it's really solidly made. Feels like I could really wing someone with it if I wanted. Works on Windows 10, the laptop thinks it's an XBONE controller.
TL;DR - If you want one, the model you're looking for is Hyperkin X91. I couldn't find them on Hyperkin's site, but they're on Amazon.
Edit: Also, here's an image.
She is extremely active in the community. Any and all advice is welcomed!
Just looking for some people to play with
Hello everyone! As part of my MSc Psychology degree at the University of Northampton I am completing a qualitative research piece using Skype based interviews. This research will focus on the experiences of female world of warcraft players in regards to sexual harassment.
Current research by psychologists Fox & Tang (2014/2016) indicates that sexual harassment is particularly detrimental to player experience and as such requires further investigation. As such, my research will focus on understanding how women navigate harassment and protective factors that reduce exposure to harassment. This research will be conducted in accordance with the British Psychological Society's ethical guidelines. Further information will be provided to participants prior to the beginning of the interview.
I am looking for roughly 10 participants who have experiences of sexual harassment and would be comfortable discussing these experiences in a Skype based interview setting.
Disclaimer: This research will concentrate on female experiences but this research is in no way designed to condemn male players. As a female player who has many male friends in game and male family members who play I feel it is important to understand sexual harassment as being perpetrated by a small minority.
Should you wish to participate you can contact me via email or simply on here: bethsresearch2017@gmail.com
I really look forward to hearing from you!
She was a funny and cool chick who always had something snarky to say. I've had the joy of talking to her throughout the time we made this subreddit together.
As a result of her difficult journey with cancer, she stopped going online & being active but eventually she passed. RIP Rachael you were an amazing person, I'm sorry you're gone.

Antiyoy Mobile game that's like a super-de-duper simplified Civ. Like waaaaaay simplified.
Civ V
Sven Co-op Very excited about this one! It's a free game, folks! You can find it on Steam. It's a series of fan-made multiplayer Gold Engine maps. I highly recommend the Tetris series of maps. Someone remade Half Life to be a multiplayer experience!
Hello fellow gamers! I am conducting a survey about gamers for a popular culture course I am taking. The purpose of the survey is to get feedback for how people feel about gaming and what they play and all that stuff.
The assignment is researching a personal identity (I chose my gamer side) and how it is portrayed in popular culture. However, I want to get some personal responses from other gamers to use, because that will be pretty cool!
If you are interested in being part of the survey, click here!
FYI, I am posting this to other gaming discussion subs as well.
Just a quick post to any and all seasoned women lurking on this subreddit. I am an older gamer and I have a Destiny Clan AND an XBone Club called 'Coffee and Pajamas' just for us. So if you are a women gamer over 50 yrs old or you know someone who might be interested in playing with some kindred spirits - please pass this along to them, and thanks!
Firstly, I hope I am not intruding on this space. My name is Laz. I'm a member of a large gaming clan (with a good gender mix). Within the clan, I'm apart of the Pokemon division. One thing that has bothered me about the division is the lack of female representation within. That is, we have zero competitive or casual female Pokemon players in the group. When we recruit, we never hear back from lady gamers and that makes me sad, as I know we're missing out on some talent. I'm curious what you folks might think would be a good way to get the attention of girl gamers. I'm open to any suggestion.
In addition, if you're into Pokemon and you feel like you want to up your game to a competitive level, or just have a fun place to chat about Pokemon as well as be involved in events like Casual battles on Pokemon Showdown or the 3DS, breeding competitions, and competitive team building, this might be the place for you.
So let me know what you think we can do to expand our female player base and drop me a PM if you want to know more about joining.
Thanks!
More Don't Starve Together for me! Husbeau and I made a Christmas tree with the new updates, but I might burn it down later... It's not playing nice with one of my server mods, and global positioning is more important than in-game merriment IMHO.
A little TF2. Stopped playing for a while, but I'm still pretty darn good at the game. I like being this good at a game.
Drawful from one of the Jackbox party packs (can't remember which edition.) This game... Holy crap, it's so much fun. You play with smartphones and a computer. Everyone gets a phrase that they have to draw on their phone. Those drawings are then shown on the computer screen one at a time while everyone tries to guess what they're looking at.
On one of the rounds I got the phrase "Winter Cactus" and drew a lady's leg with a bit of day one stubble.
So I recently have been employed as a video game journalist for a website that covers gaming news and the likes. Am I able to post the articles I personally write on the subreddit? I don't want to break any rules, but the supporter of other girl gamers would be appreciated as well as their thoughts on recent video game news and my articles.
I am hoping to get a few feature pieces approved that will tackle gaming topics or titles from a female gamer perspective. But that is further down the pipeline.
Just asking!
So much Don't Starve Together. The new updates are awesome.

That's really about it for me.

Dwarf Fortress - Because I like it when the learning curve is a right angle.

Also been playing some Call of Cthulhu and Dresden Files campaigns with friends. If you like the idea of tabletop RPGs but wish there was less math, the Dresden Files system might be right up your alley.
